61 Chapter 61

"Hey!" Rena shouted angrily from behind you, "Stop ignoring me!"

You rolled your eyes at her brashness, she literally just ignored one of your digimon digivolving to the mega level. More at yourself than anything though, because you find it cute. Maybe you do actually have a type like Ruki was getting on about, though it's not actually redhead's like she thinks.

"I'm not ignoring you sweet cheeks," you taunted with a grin, turning around after admiring Imperialdramon's new form for a moment, "I'm just checking out how badass my boy Imperialdramon is."

"..I could do without the claws on these gauntlets." you heard the newly digivolved mega mumble in complaint.

"Like I care," Rena snapped back, and again you had to stop yourself from finding her super cute, even as her lackeys all backed up and shied away, "You promised not to get in my way after you broke up with me."

"You broke up with me actually." you replied, a frown coming to your face. Your break up with Rena had been..messy. She'd wanted you to join her hacker group, but you refused to join another one after your old team went under, and Rena while hot, was still slightly plain in her own mind because of her, in her own words, generic brown hair, generic brown eyes and so on.

All her insecurities came out then, and it was all very dramatic and teenage angst, leading to more and more fights between you when she somehow came to the conclusion you cared more about your old team than her, which to be fair was right in a way. You cared a lot about Rena, but you couldn't give a flying fuck about her hacker team, and your first girlfriend was actually the little sister of one of your old team members.

..Erika.

So yeah, you couldn't full out refute her either way. And she broke up with you, all teary eyed and miserable, and you felt so bad about it, when she tried to draw a promise out of you not to interfere with her hacker team unless it directly involved you, you just agreed.

Fucking angst, you weren't into that shit.

"Whatever," she scowled, and your heart actually clenched a bit when you saw her eyes under her beret, slight tears in the corners of her eyes, "You promised, so why are you getting in my way now?"

Let it not be said that the break up wasn't because of a lack of feelings.

"..I promised not to get in your way as long as it didn't concern me," you sighed as you replied, "This did concern me, it's a job I took for one of my friends, who's digimon got stolen by the way."

She bit her lip, unable to refute you. Rena was a hothead, and insecure, though she didn't like anybody to know that. She wasn't a selfish cunt though, nor was she unreasonable.

You sighed again, "Look.."

"Rena you're not stupid," you said, making your way over to her, "You know dealing with the demon members is bad buisness, and that guy, cowardly as he was, was obviously just a stand in putz to keep the heat off of the guys actually behind the theft, besides you didn't pay him before I stepped in anyway."

She wiped her eyes before huffing, crossing her arms under her substantial bust and pressing it u, drawing your eyes to her chest for a split moment, "You don't know that." she countered.

You snorted, "Rena, I know you quite well, and I know you were in the process of grand standing when I jumped in," you refuted, and she had the decency to look to the side with an embarrassed flush on her face, "But look, I wouldn't offer this to anybody else, but since it's you, how about I make it up to you and grab you some strong ultimate data or catch you a strong ultimate to make it up to you."

"Why not just give me that Seadramon?" Rena asked.

You grinned, "No can do love, I'm gonna jogress him with my Black Were Gaururmon X and get them to the mega level."

"What!?" Mega Seadramon's voice resounded out from your digivice, but you ignored him.

You heard a gufffaw come out of Wingdramon's mouth, "He's as on the ball as ever."

"..Pops always has a plan or an angle." Dragomon agreed.

"..Of course you are." Rena sighed, palming her forehead before staring you in the eye, "When did you start training digimon anyway? When we were dating, you pretty much hated digimon with a passion besides those three morons behind me that you helped hatch." she asked, pointing at the three towering digimon flanking her over her shoulder.

You frowned slightly, a flash of silver armour and a massive golden sword filling your vision for a brief second before you shook your head and banished the image. "I ran into a pair of weaklings running for their life, took pity on them and kinda came to like them."

Rena's eyes softened and she lifted a hand, gently touching it to your cheek. "Are you okay?" she asked. Besides your old team, Rena was the only one you'd ever told about what happened back then.

It was why you could never blame her for breaking up with you. Because, however wrong her assumptions had been, there was still a sliver of truth to her accusations regardless.

..Bah, enough of this angsty bullshit. You don't like it.

Your hands reached around her before she could react, and you took two big handfuls of her ass. The older girl squealing in surprise as your fingers sank into her bountiful behind, "I'm fine sweet cheeks," you laughed, giving her a good grope before putting her back down, you lifted your digivice and returned your digimon and walked past her in one motion, pressing a quick cheeky kiss to her cheek as you went by, "You still have my contact information, so drop me a line when you want me to make things up to you." you made sure to wiggle your eyes suggestively as you said so.

"Hayato!" Rena's annoyed shout was the last you heard as you activated the Gate skill and teleported out of Kowloon Level 3.
