Chapter 32

After Black Greymon X blew a massive crater in Kowloon Level 1 with his new Mega Burst attack when he tried it out - you decided to get the fuck out of dodge before Zaxxon fell on you like a swarm of locust thinking you were a terrorist or something.

You briefly logged out of Eden after leaving to grab a bunch of your cards. You honestly didn't have that many modify cards that would work well with your digimon. Most of your cards were actually geared towards getting Black Wargreymon out because with his Black Tornado attack, he absolutely stomped in the card game.

Funnily enough the ones you figured would work well added up to a total of ten.

With that done though, you plopped back into your computer screen and got right back into Eden. It's a good thing you acquired - stole - the URL's for the lower Kowloon Levels prior to ever going there. You were always the type to prepare in advance, despite how cocky of an image you liked to show, as if there was nothing you couldn't just do right off the bat.

Still, when you stepped out of the teleporter the URl for Kowloon Level 2 dropped you at, right next to an elevator/teleporter that led back to Kowloon Level 1, you were quite surprised.

It was a narrow hallway like area, well in comparison. The path was still a good thirty feet across.

But standing in your way, blocking the way into Level 2, was a digimon.

An Exveemon. It stood there blocking the path, muscular blue arms crossed across its chest and a gruff look on its face.

The moment it saw you, it perked right up though. "Ah, another tamer!" it exclaimed, almost happily.

What the hell is an Exveemon doing here? You'd think with how popular that digimon line is, people would have basically rushed it like mad to try and capture it or at least turn it back into an egg after beating it.

Heck, you want to do it yourself. Exveemon is just cool looking. You aren't that big a fan of blue as a colour, but you have to admit, he rocks that blue and white colour scheme.

"I have waited all day in this spot," Exveemon continued, "One after another I have tested you tamers, yet not one has been strong enough to become my tamer."

He thrust a muscular blue scaled hand out, "Come tamer, if you and one digimon of your choosing can defeat me in combat, I will pledge to follow you as your underling!"

Well now, didn't that make things much simpler. You could just get strong looking champion without having to raise it from an egg if you did this right.

You know, you're kind of tempted to go with Black Greymon X. He's your strongest digimon no doubt. He's been the champion longest, has been in the most fights out of all your digimon and just went through a pseudo digivolution.

But honestly, it's been a while since you've had a fight yourself And you've gotten way stronger now. You want to test your own strength.

Ogremon's bone club manifested in your hand and you gripped it tight, stepping forward and grinning at Exveemon, "I like the idea of you becoming my digimon," you replied, "And to prove my worth as your future tamer, how about I fight you myself and show you how strong I am without even relying on a digimon?"

Exveemon blinked, lowering his fist, "..Ah, I admit I did not expect this. Every tamer I have run into so far has been content to hide behind their digimon and then run away after I load their data, granted I only landed here today, but still." he admitted, before a toothy grin overcame his face and he punched his two muscular hands together, "Still I admire your bravery Tamer, tell me what is your name my possible future lord?"

You lifted your free hand and curled it into a fist, "My name is Hayato Sota, remember it," you replied, "Now come at me Exveemon!"

Exveemon barked a gleeful laugh, "Very well, prepare yourself!" the mythical dragon digimon shouted. He tensed his legs and it was only because you had been dealing with your own digimon's insane speed lately that you managed to react at all, even on instinct.

He blitzed forward, lashing out with a full frontal kick, covering the thirty feet between you in an instant.

You tensed and took the kick in the stomach. The force behind it almost drove the air from your lungs, but you held strong, and wrapped your arm around his large muscular leg and then spun.

"What!?" Exveemon's eyes widened in shock, and so taken off guard he was, he didn't react in time to prevent you form spinning on your feet and bodily lifting him by the leg with your arm wrapped around his leg and slamming him into a wall a few feet away as hard as you could

The blue dragon digimon grunted in pain, face smooshed up against the wall, and you didn't hesitate to follow up your counter and smash your bone club into his back with all the strength you could muster driving him into the ground hard enough to make the ground shake beneath your feet.
