"I-Impossible...Give it back! T-The Great and Powerful Trixie commands you!" Trixie screamed as the Amulet of Alicorn detached itself from her neck on its own and flew into the air, right in front of Starfall, who walked over after finding the two unicorns in a bit of a stalemate.

Twilight has been doing a splendid job of fighting off Trixy and her impressive magic. It was honestly going way better than in the show really, and that's saying a lot considering that the entire fight for the most part consisted of the two mares constantly showing off more and more difficult spells, to prove which of them was better at magic. But that also meant Trixy had to use the amulet even more which was not a good thing in and on itself, because the dark magic of the Amulet had more chance to influence the poor mare which showed itself in Trixie having been on the verge of simply attacking Twilight...

"Starfall! You're here...No wait! How did you do that!? No one is supposed to be able to remove that amulet other than the wearer!?" Twilight asked, at first being relieved to see her lover but then realising that what he did was not supposed to be possible.

Starfall rolled his eyes and with a grin conjured a cowbell necklace before mounting it on Trixie's neck to her shock and confusion.

"Like such a thing would stop me love. Here you go Trixie that would suit you much better." He said with an amused grin, before walking towards Twilight and kissing her out of the blue, causing Trixie to feel Extremely jealous and angry, on top of getting offended by being given a cowbell necklace, not realising that it was exactly the reaction that Starfall wanted to see coming from her.

"You!.. It's...Gah!!!"Trixie screamed in frustration grabbing onto the necklace with her hoof before violently ripping it off her neck and dropping it onto the ground.

Her horn lit up once again, the wish to attack the two audacious unicorns prominent, but suddenly, her mind became clear and all the anger subsided leaving Trixie standing there slightly confused.

It was also at that moment when a few other things happened.

The Amulet of Alicorn, which until that moment floated beside Starfall, suddenly disappeared, while the Cow bell necklace that she threw onto the ground shimmered and turned into the aforementioned Amulet before promptly soaring towards Starfall and falling inside of his saddle bag.

Both Twilight and Trixie opened their eyes in sudden realisation.

Illusion! It was all an elaborate illusion!

"Wha-... B-but...how did you-"Trixie took a few steps back in confusion. She wasn't really sure what to feel at the moment. Anger for being defeated so easily? Fury for getting tricked with a simple illusion? Relief for being fred from the evil influence of the Amulet that she had only now noticed, or maybe amazement at the ease with which Starfall took care of the problem?

It was not a secret that she had a small crush on the Royal Unicorn. Her wish to prove herself to be better than Twilight was additionally fueled by the hope of showing off to the handsome Prince, But now here she was, having honestly embarrassed herself in his presence, and technically almost commited a crime...

Oh Celesta! And now he was getting closer towards her...

What was he going to do with her...

Trixie took a few steps back, having not heard what the two unicorns said during her previous inner monologue. She was scared that this time her punishment would not be just a public humiliation...Maybe...Maybe he would be lenient if she offered him her body...no, bad Trixie, don't let your fantasies cloud your judgment...

Maybe she could - Huh?...

Trixie found herself standing still as Starfall's hoof landed on her shoulder. He didn't look angry...was he... smiling?

"Are you alright Trixie? I hope the Amulet didn't cause you any lasting problems. And I'm sorry for that little set up with the illusion. It was a bit of an impromptu idea on my part but I hoped it would work to avoid any serious fight between us. I dare say it worked better than expected."Starfall said with a slightly embarrassed smile, to which Trixie just looked at him for a moment before quickly shaking her head.

"N-no! I'm sorry for causing the scene my Prince! It's just I...The Great and Powerful Trixie... I-uhhh...."Trixie blushed finding it hard to explain herself but Starfall didn't care and just chuckled, before pulling Trixie towards the library, intended to have a chat with the Illusionist.

__________

Twilight stood on the side, watching the entire interaction between Starfall and Trixie and she couldn't help but sigh in admiration. The way in which her Starfall de-escalated the entire situation without resorting to any fighting whatsoever, was really eye-opening, and made her learn an important lesson. She couldn't help but admire Starfall's resourcefulness and ingenuity, and now it even seemed as if he was taking Trixie into their home for whatever...Wait what!?

Twilight Suddenly realised that something wasn't quite right with the situation and instantly dashed to follow behind the duo. She was not going to leave her Coltfriend alone with yet another single mare, who needed a shoulder to cry on. She knew very well how it was going to end otherwise, and twelve was already quite a large amount so she wasn't going to let in just anypony...

...

Luna looked at everything with a hint of amusement and a large amount of appreciation for how well Starfall did in the earlier situation, Not even mentioning Twilight who kept up with Trixie in the magic side of things for such a long time, especially considering that Luna had heard legends of the Amulet of Alicorn even before she and Tia became the rulers of Equestria, and she knew that in the wrong hands the amulet had the potential of erasing entire villages...

To think her beloved Starfall could subdue a holder of the Amulet in under a minute without once resorting to violence, showed his personal wisdom and ability, and once again proved him to be a perfect candidate for the future throne of Equestria. They never really talked about it, but be it She, Celestia, Midnight or even Cadence and everypony else, They knew that one day Starfall was going to sit upon the throne. It was just a matter of time really. He was multiple times qualified, having stolen the hearts of not one but three currently ruling Princesses, and being essentially in the next line of succession in case of the princesses ever stepping down.

What would Equestria be like under his rule she wondered, imagining some pretty exaggerated things, and it must have been visible on her face because Midnight couldn't help but chuckle as she looked at the dreamy looking Luna.

"Wow sis, I didn't think somepony could get so worked up at just their own imagination."She teased her sister who snapped back to reality and blushed at her Twin's cras language.

"...I can see why she would think that way though...He is so dreamy after all..." Another voice said from beside the two sisters who as one turned to the source, only to blanch as they found themselves standing right beside a dreamy looking Queen Chrysalis, sitting on a rock and looking after the departing back of Starfall in the distance...

"You!"

"What are you doing here Chrysalis! Did you come to attack us again!?" The two Princesses jumped into defensive positions, ready for a fight, but Chrysalis just blushed and...

Wait...

Blushed!?

"Ah...I'm sorry for this sudden appearance...I...I was hoping to have a talk with Mr Starfall... If that's alright...I mean you no harm..." She asked looking unsure and completely throwing off their knowledge of Chrysalis and her normal way of behaviour... She also looked particularly more...full, so to speak, her body slightly less littered with holes and her overall look a tone or two more radiant, if that was really possible...

The two princesses looked between eachother and collectively sighed.

This day was really getting more confusing by the minute...
