Chapter 166 Strong Willed

Upon arriving at the site, Ainz Ooal Gown commanded Aura Bella Fiora and Mare Bello Fiore to separate from him.

Since they were now equipped with the World Items: Depiction of Nature and Society and Avarice and Generosity, he ordered them to scout the area for any interlopers.

Demiurge returned to the Great Tomb of Nazarick, where he met with Cocytus and Albedo. He asked what was going on and learned that Ainz intended to face Shalltear Bloodfallen alone.

Despite Albedo's confidence that Ainz would be victorious, Demiurge was afraid of the possibility that his master may be killed.

He criticized Albedo's acceptance of Ainz's decision, noting how she was most critical when their master went to E-Rantel to become an adventurer.

Demiurge attempted to leave to assist his master but was stopped by Cocytus, who was given orders from Ainz to prevent any interference.

Demiurge relented; however, should Ainz fall, he demanded that Albedo step down as Overseer Guardian, to which Albedo accepted, continuing to believe Ainz would return.

Ainz approached where Shalltear was still in her standby mode. Seeing it as a good time as any, Ainz prepared for battle, buffing his stats with magic-enhancing spells and arming himself with Quick-Change Items.

Lastly, he prepared to cast the Super Tier Magic: Fallen Down. When the spell was completed, it caused massive damage, resulting in a gigantic crater where the Floor Guardian stood.

Shalltear, who had been calmly standing in a stationary position, was not only armed with Spuit Lance but also donning her Valkyrie Armor.

Despite looking relatively unharmed, Shalltear laughed and admitted that the attack did some damage to her and prepared to attack her master.

The two exchanged barbs and attacks at each other. Shalltear gained the upper hand, but Ainz managed to counter her using his experience and deception.

Shalltear then summoned her Einherjar, a physical double. Ainz managed to counter the two attacks and defeat the double, though he sustained attacks from Shalltear, with Spuit Lance draining his mana.

Eventually, Ainz used Widen Magic: Cry of the Banshee. The area turned bright, and as the light faded, the surrounding area had turned into sand.

The attack left Shalltear unscathed. Now low on mana, Ainz prepared to finish him off.

She asked if he had any last words. Rather than admit defeat, Ainz declared that she was sloppy and that everything was going according to his plan.

Ainz Ooal Gown calmly stated that he instead should be thanking Shalltear Bloodfallen for her overconfidence.

Shalltear believed Ainz was bluffing but now wondered why Ainz had yet to retreat. Ainz explained the tactics of PVP and the use of misinformation. Shalltear realized that she was led to believe that Ainz didn't know about her abilities from the start.

In fact, Ainz was lying, making Shalltear think everything was going according to her master's plan. Scared at the possibility that she walked into a trap, she retaliated, intending to pierce Ainz with Spuit Lance.

Ainz was suddenly garbed in silver armor. The Floor Guardians watching from Nazarick realized that the armor was Touch Me's personal armor.

Demiurge deduced that Ainz used [Perfect Warrior] to wear the armor without penalty. Shalltear cried in pain as she was slashed across the chest.

She saw that her opponent now wielded a katana, which she recognized as Takemikazuchi MK 8, another weapon of the Supreme Beings.

Ainz declared that he possessed the strength of all Forty-One Supreme Beings. Ainz followed up with another attack but was blocked by Shalltear. He dismissed his weapon, making the vampire believe Ainz was wide open.

However, her attack was rebuffed by the appearance of two daggers, Amaterasu & Tsukuyomi. Ainz continued his attacks using one Divine Weapon after another.

Frustrated, Shalltear managed to pierce Ainz with her Spuit Lance and declared that her weapon would drain Ainz's HP. However, as she pulled back, she heard a familiar voice from Ainz's watch.

The latter declared that the battle was over. Angry at Ainz's overconfidence, Shalltear launched an onslaught of attacks. Ainz began activating his Super-Tier Magic with Shalltear in the center.

Just as he was about to activate a Cash Item to quicken the spell, Shalltear rushed forward and nearly landed a killing blow on Ainz.

However, she was suddenly distracted by a skill. Before she could determine who activated the skill, Ainz completed his spell, and Shalltear was engulfed in oblivion. Before she faded, Shalltear admitted her master as the victor.

Eero stood far away on the opposite side, watching the battle calmly, looking at the Victor Momonga and defeated Shalltear, his mouth curved. He raised his hand, and a crystal appeared in his hand. "Well, my next task is to spread such an epic fight around the world." His figure blurred and disappeared.

Elsewhere, Mare Bello Fiore asked if his sister, Aura Bella Fiora, was okay. Ainz returned to Nazarick, where he was about to prepare to resurrect the Fallen Floor Guardian.

The remaining Floor Guardians, wary that Shalltear may still be under the influence of mind control even after her resurrection, prepared to subdue her.

Shalltear was successfully brought back to life; however, she was unable to recall any memories of the last five days.

Shalltear realized that her breast pads were missing, and her reaction irritated her colleagues on her priorities. As Ainz watched his 'subordinate,' he felt the nostalgia of the time with his comrades. Rather than punish her, Ainz took responsibility for the events that transpired.

Now that there was a confirmed existence in the world that could threaten Nazarick, Ainz declared that the need to strengthen their power was more imperative than ever. Albedo was eager to please and reported that Nazarick had recently discovered the Great Lake where the lizardmen dwell.

A few days after Ainz Ooal Gown defeated Shalltear, the Adventurer's Guild had promoted Darkness as adamantite rank adventurers.

In addition, Nfirea Bareare and Lizzie Bareare moved to Carne Village, where they were greeted by Enri Emmot and Lupusregina Beta.

Elsewhere in Re-Estize, Solution Epsilon and Sebas Tian had taken residence in the Royal Capital. Ainz, as Momon, prepared to go off on another quest. As he left the guild, he ordered Shalltear to mobilize Gargantua.

"Where are you taking me, Brain?" A burly questioning voice sounded. Gazef asked, following Brain, wondering.

"Gazef San, someone offered me powers, and he assigned me a task to bring him a strong-willed person," Brain replied calmly.
