59 The Super Seven
(3rd Person POV)
Batman took everything with him and then contacted ALFRED. He had long since surpassed the need for speech and could communicate with ALFRED via thought. But it was not always what he did.
A black portal opened and from it, came the Batmobile. The top opened up and Batman jumped in.
"How are things, BOB? Everything ready?"
[Yes, sir. Things are looking good and the car is in pristine condition.]
"Good, then let's get moving.", Batman says and fires up the engine. He has upgraded the Batmobile over the years and suffice it to say, that this thing is more powerful than any other vehicle in the Universe. If the car were a bit faster, he wouldn't even need wings to fly.
*WROOOOOM*
They shoot off, deeper into Apokolips where something waits for Batman, something special, that he has been waiting to get his hands on. A Mother box.
Mother Boxes owe their existence to the New Gods that inhabit New Genesis. Specifically, New Genesis scientist Himon developed the Mother Boxes as small, portable, sentient supercomputers. Well, technically, they can take multiple shapes and be varying sizes ... they're sentient, after all.
As sentient technology, each Mother Box is its own unique entity and has an independent will of its own. And they get their name for the unconditional "motherly love" they have for those whom they connect with or bind to. Plus, Mother Boxes were made as a result of experiments with the mysterious Element X, DC's Tenth Metal, which can be manipulated by thought alone and which powers most New God technology.
In DC lore, Element X is still little understood, even by the New Gods, yet it pervades the entire multiverse in small amounts as a pure element of creation itself.
In fact, the whole multiverse is a very diluted form of this Tenth Metal and access to the metal grants powers beyond comprehension. Suffice it to say, as an element of creation itself, Element X is connected to abilities such as reality alteration, power magnification, and clairvoyance, among other things.
It's raw creation, after all. And since the Mother Boxes come from experiments involving Element X, these devices are incredibly dangerous. Or in Batman's case, incredibly useful and even more dangerous.
Mother Boxes are also known to have a connection to the Source (the literal source of all that exists and the infinite energy that produced all life in the universe). This likely springs from their connection to Element X, and thus, they can be said to link the material world — and their users — to "God."
Their complexity means that they can't truly be "made" by beings outside New Genesis or Apokolips, and very few New Gods have ever been able to successfully create them. It's even said that the creator's personality becomes a part of the resulting Mother Box, making them one of the DC Universe's most mysterious artefacts.
They provide their owner with unconditional loyalty and self-destruct when their owner dies. Mother Boxes have sacrificed themselves for causes they have believed in and are greatly respected by the people of New Genesis

But what can Mother Boxes do?
Being connected to the Source, its energy, and the vast potential of creation itself - as well as having their own sentience - Mother Boxes are enormously powerful artefacts.
As such, their potential is maybe limitless and certainly wide-ranging, and they've been utilized by the New Gods for nearly any purpose you can imagine. Mother Boxes have been used to amplify their user's own powers to considerable degrees, and it doesn't seem to matter much what those powers are.
And there are a lot of uses that are known through the comics that the Mother Boxes have. So let's list some of them.

- Danger Sense
- Life Sense
- Omniscience: a Mother Box can sense everything that's going on around it.
- Omni-knowledge: a Mother Box has access to all the knowledge of the New Gods.
-> Knowledge Projection: A Mother Box is capable of sharing and projecting its understanding of past, present and alternating future events for all to see.
- Energy Transference: A Mother Box can transfer its energy to its user. In addition, through his or her affection for Mother Box, the user can transfer energy back to it. Only one such attempt is allowed per day.
-> Source Conduit: Mother Boxes have been seen to access the energy of the Source for various effects such as:
--> Gravity Manipulation: Change the gravitational constant of an area,
--> Emotion Control: Control the mental state of a host
--> Telepathy: Communicate telepathically with a host of other life form,
--> Health Manipulation: Manipulate the life force of a host to sustain its past fatal injuries.
- Boom-Tubes: the ability to open or close boom-tubes. Any character that possesses both a Mother Box and a sample of X-Element can automatically create a Boom Tube capable of transporting individuals or groups between intra-/inter-galactically, or inter-dimensionally.
- Machine Animation/Control: Take over and control non-sentient machines, including the ability to evolve non-sentient machines.
- Gestalt: Merge sentient beings into a single more powerful being.
- Life Support: Sustain a life form in a hostile environment such as space, and many others.
- Matter/Energy Manipulation: Through its connection to The Source of all things, a Mother Box has a limitless capacity to alternate and rearrange all manner of material across existence for any desired purpose.

It becomes quite clear that should Batman get his hands on a Mother Box ... the Universe, no the Multiverse would no longer be the same as it was.
The question is whether Batman will find any Mother Boxes on Apokolips. Mother Boxes are something that comes from New Genesis. But there is something else here, that Batman has gotten from Desaad's mind ... Father Boxes.
Father Boxes are basically an Apokoliptian attempt at Mother Boxes, except they corrupt a user and bend their mind to want to serve Darkseid more. So why would Batman want something like that?
Two reasons.
First, he knows that where there is either a Mother or a Father Box, there is Element X. And he really wants that. The possibilities with that metal are limitless.
Second, to create a Father Box, Mother Boxes were needed. And Batman knows from Desaads memories that there are Mother Boxes here on Apokolips, stolen from New Genesis.

On Earth, the fight between Darkseid and the heroes is not going as well as they liked. Superman is missing and Batman is doing whatever he is doing on Apokolips. But they are doing damage to him, as he has never faced beings of their nature. He has never been on Earth, for obvious reasons.
"Come on giant! I'm getting bored.", Wonder Woman says to Darkseid.
"He is mine. As is your world.", Darkseid responds with a pair of Omega Beams.
*VROOOM*
Wonder Woman blocks them with her Amazonian wrist guards and the Ombega beams reflect and hit Darkseid in the face.
"Too many people believe that. That's the problem here. The world belongs to no one. And everyone.", Wonder Woman says. She uses this moment when Darkseid is hit and jumps towards him.
With her sword in hand, she pierces Darkseid's eye with a powerful thrust.
"HA!"
The Omega Sanctum's energy leaks from the damaged eye.
"One down.", Wonder Woman says and lands on the ground. But that is not all. Flash is carrying Aquaman and throws him at Darkseid. There Aquaman pierces Darkseid's second eye with his trident.
"One to go."
But the beast is not finished yet. He is not the danger that he is known for nothing.

"A sword and a trident through his eyes and he's still standing? What else can we do?", Green Lantern asks.
"We can send him home.", Victor suggests.
"How can we do that?"
"Those Mother Boxes can open a gateway back to the world they come from. I just have to ... connect with them somehow and speak their language."
"Which is what?"
"*Ping* Whatever that means-"
Suddenly all over the area, a boom tube opens up behind the Parademons and a giant one behind Darkseid.
The group uses this chance to throw everything they have at him, but Darkseid will not just leave like that. He is far too powerful, even now that he has been pierced in both eyes.
"You will fall!", he says and smashes Wonder Woman to the ground, and punches her in the face. The Flash tries to stop him, but he has no chance, he is simply flung away.

Then something interesting happens. Superman suddenly shoots through the boom tube and hits Darkseid further into the boom tube behind him.
"Superman!"
"Where the hell did he come from?"
"Kryptonian. You are coming with- WHAT? WHAT IS THIS?!", Darkseid is confused. He just wanted to bear-hug Superman and take him with him, when his arms phased through Superman.
The image of Superman flickered and then disappeared, confusing everyone involved.
"What is going on?"
The answer to this question arrives in the next second. Batman jumps over Darkseid and throws a series of explosives at him.
*BOOOM*
*BOOOM*
*BOOOM*
*BOOOM*
*BOOOM*
The explosions push back Darkseid a bit but not enough. He is angry right now. He looks at Batman whom he was certain had died. But here he was again. His eyes glow in that dangerous red glow and he is just about to fire them off when Batman presses another trigger he has in his hand.
The worst nightmare for anyone is Batman holding a trigger in his hands.

*Beep*
A beeping sound is heard behind Darkseid. Batman has attached a special type of bomb to the New God's back when he jumped over him.
*BOOOOOoooooomm.... vvvvVVVOOOOMMMM*
The sound of an explosion is heard but it changes into a 'sucking' sound. Because the device does not explode, it implodes and creates an unbelievably powerful suction that pulls everything in, in a radius of 2 meters.
"RAAAAAGHHH!", Darkseid screams in pain as half of his torso has just disappeared.
But is that all?
No
Batman points his fist at Darkseid and from it, a bright blue laser-like light shoots toward Darkseid and ... cuts off the giant's arm and both of his legs.

As everyone is seeing this, another device is thrown towards Darkseid. A box. The box appears in front of Darkseid before his upper body even falls to the ground.
*Click*
*BONK*
From the box a giant boxing glove jumps out and hits Darkseid in the face, shooting him through the boom tube.
*BOOOOOOMM*

All of the boom tubes were closed and all of the Parademons had been sucked in.
"They're all ... gone."
"What the ... f*ck was that?", Green Lantern asked.
"Everyone of their Mother Boxes is fried.", Victor says.
"Then they won't be able to come back anytime soon.", Aquaman says, "We're being watched."
They look around and see the people watching them.
"Um ... should we leave before they blame us again or ..."
"You did it!"
"You saved us!"
"You're the world's greatest Super-humans!"
Hundreds of people cheer for the seven ... wait, not seven ... the six people. The heroes are happy and appreciate the gesture because this is the first time they have been given gratitude on this scale.
"You know Bat's that was- ... Batman? Where did he go?", Green Lantern asks and the others look around. Batman has already left.
"The warrior doesn't even take compliments. He must be truly a noble warrior to go right back to doing his duty.", Wonder Woman interprets things her way.
"Yeah, I just think he's an emo or something.", Green Lantern say.
"Come on Lantern. He saved not just Superman but the Earth as well.", Flash says.

After a few weeks, a press conference is held, by the President of the United States.
"Today marks a momentous day in human history. In our darkest hour, these people donned their colourful costumes and went into action.", the President says.
"Costumes? I don't wear a costume. This is my uniform.", Green Lantern says.
"And this is Atlantean scale mail. Do they think I'd choose orange?"
"I shouldn't be up here.", Victor says.
"Sure you should. Be proud.", the Flash says.
"Not even Batman is up here. I don't see why I should."
"Forget that guy. If he doesn't even come to something like that, he doesn't deserve any better."

"We were attacked by an enemy unlike any we have ever encountered ... and we were saved by a team of heroes unlike any mankind has ever known.", the President says.
"Can you believe this?", Green Lantern asks.
"That the people aren't afraid of us?"
"That everyone thinks we're a team. We're not a team. I mean look at Batman, he didn't even show up."
"These friends used their superpowers to protect us ..."
"And we're not friends either."
"I don't have time to belong to a team. I've got other responsibilities.", Aquaman says.
"So do I."
"I have a whole universe to protect.", Green Lantern says.
"We can do it together, guys."
"Can you fly into space?", Green Lantern asks.
"I can.", Superman says.
"That's not the point. We all have other things we need to do. We're not friends. We're not a team. this was just a one-time thing, okay?"
"Mr. President.", someone comes and whispers something into the President's ears. Then he turns to the heroes.
"I'm sorry, but we've got trouble, your kind of trouble I'd guess. We need your team again.", he tells them.
"We have a name, Mr. President.", the Flash says.
"We do?"
"You do?"
"Sure. You can call us ... THE SUPER SEVEN!"
"The super seven?"
"Well ... I know, we're currently six, but Batman is technically part of the team no?"
"He is not part of anthing. And neither am I for that matter.", Green Lantern says.

- Apokolips -
In a special room, Darkseid is being put back together by a Mother Box, while Steppenwolf is reporting everything to him. Which is strange, considering that he was supposed to be dead. Well ... Batman lied.
Darkseid is angry ... very agry.
"There was- ... *ZZZZZZ*"
Suddenly Steppenwolfs eye begin to shine brightly and he opens his mouth and looks to the sky. A hologram appears in the sky and the figure ...
{Test test ... is this thing working? Oh good. Hello there.}
... the figure of Batman is seen.
"YOU!! I will rip you limb from limb when I-", Darkseid booms but is interrupted.
{I assume that you were going to give me the villain talk right now, so I'll interrupt you right here. First off, this is a recording, talking or shouting won't help.
Secondly, I just wanted to see whether this was possible. New Gods biology is not as difficult as I imagined. Oh well, I left you a little present after this recording is over. I hope you enjoy.
And if you come to Earth again ... I'll do some of the worst things to you and mabye ... I will go find your daddy and get him to spank you. Don't f*ck with me, you ashen shit. I will massacre you.
