The novel 'Be Mine'

My life was pretty okay. I grew up as an only child with average grades and looks, barely made it into my dream college, and am now working as an office worker.

My only source of entertainment was anime, novels, gaming, and mangas.

While I was scrolling on my phone, I came across this popular teen-romance novel called 'Be mine'.

The novel is about a young girl named Genesis Clements who stalks- I mean enrolls in a well-known academy where coincidentally her middle school crush Damian Hale is also enrolled in.

With the goal of being noticed by him, she soon discovers she isn't the only one who intends to pursue him with many girls in the academy finding him attractive and his new girlfriend Bethany Nixon.

After her many failed attempts in getting a proper conversation with him and being constantly bullied by Bethany and her minions, she then befriends Lillian Reid and Rebecca Wiley who both support her love for Damian and encourage her to not give up.

All three then form a plan to expose Bethany and her friends in front of the whole school and wins over the love of her life.

Through many trials and errors, her efforts finally being paid off in exposing Bethany and her friends, she finally won Damian's heart, but then you think Yay! they finally end up together right?

Nope, they don't. why you ask because they both are too fucking shy to confess to the other!

Genesis is showing lots of signs that she likes him. She tries to find ways to confess her feelings but she never does.

Damian knows that she likes him and he likes her, too. But he thinks it's best to stay friends.

With this going on for a whole year! And many heartfelt moments in Genesis building up her courage in confessing to him. As she was about to confess her feeling towards him, he suggests that they should stay friends, saddened by this, Genesis feels conflicted, but she doesn't give up.

During their summer break, Damian meets Genesis's nerdy childhood friend Leroy Terrell. They both are jealous of each other.

Sadly for Leroy when he confesses his feelings to Genesis, who rejects him because she has feelings for Damian. When Damian hears this, he finally decides to confess his love to her.

While strolling along the beach shore, Damian then confesses his feeling for her. Genesis then cries tears of joy, wrapping her arms around his neck pressing her lips against his.

After finally going out for 6 years, going through obstacles and conflicts together they then finally got married.

And they lived happily ever after.

Personally, I thought it was a bit cringy at times but overall it was beautiful.

As I was down finishing up my work and heading home for the night. I decided it was best if I took the shortcut since it was already late at night. As I was walking down the street.

I heard a scream from behind me.

A woman running towards me with the face of fright screaming

"H-HELP ME! HE'S GOING TO KILL ME!

Suddenly a knife stabs through her chest. Her body drops down onto the floor.

A man in a grey hoodie and black jeans looks at me and suddenly runs towards me!

I screamed as loud as I could running for my life, 'You got to be kidding me! WHY DID I PICK THE ALLEYWAY AS MY SHORTCUT!'

He apprehends me I try to fight him off "ACKK"

I scream from the sharp pain in my chest.

The man in the hoodie panics and ran away leaving me laying on the ground with a stab wound in my chest.

I struggle to stand up. I can feel blood sliding along my arm and down to my fingers. Its warmth soon turns cold and, as it reaches the tips of my finger, the drops let go and fall to the ground.

Somehow I'm still standing, so maybe, just maybe I will make it.

I just have to walk, one step at a time. Come on body, you can do this. Move! It's no use.

No! No, I cannot die, not today. Not ever. I must survive, surely there must be away. How did this happen to me, what did I do to deserve this?

I can't... Somebody, please help me.

There must be somebody nearby, please help whoever you are, wherever you are.

My entire body is aching, I can't take this anymore. I want to sleep, but I can't, it'll be my death. But I can rest, right? Yes, I'll just lay down for a bit and rest, but not sleep.

No, not sleep. I'm sure somebody will be here to help me soon anyway, so it's okay to just rest.

I can't move, I can't think, I can't do anything. This can only mean the end for me, I'm beyond the point of no return. I'm going to die... I'm going to die! No, no, no, no, no! Please, I don't want to die.

I'm so cold, I didn't notice it before, but my body started to shiver. It wasn't cold here before I don't think. It doesn't matter. My body feels numb, but I still feel cold.
