Chapter 4: Meeting the Princes

Chapter 4: Meeting the Princes

The garden was so silent that uttering a single word could make you a criminal. LOL, anyways, the maid has just arrived with FOODS.

After quick greetings with each other, we didn't exchange words once again. I swear the awkward silence is killing me, I closed my eyes tightly as I sip at the tea I was drinking. I wasn't a fan of tea, the inner me is still shouting soda and the cookies...well they're tasty but Soda's and Chips still tastes heavenly for me.

"How I missed those times," I thought as I sip my cup of tea while they stared at me blankly. I was holding my empty cup for long as I was still drinking from it. I quickly stuffed a cookie in my mouth and swallowed it immediately.

Prince James was looking at me intently, his eyes were skinning me alive. I felt cold sweat from behind my back. This is making me....uncomfortable. 'Stop looking at me like you want to skin me out alive!' I screamed at him in the head, wanting to scream at him in person for staring at me that much. Sadly I couldn't due to the position he has.

"You knew of the purpose of your being here right?" The crown prince, James asked.

I glanced at him and back to the cookies that were served in front of me as I gave him a quick nod. "I do know of it, your highness"

He gave me a small grunt as he crossed his arms.

"Just so you know, I don't have any interest in taking you as my fiance. EVER" He said to me straight in the face. As expected, He won't take interest in me at all of course. He can only be mesmerized by the heroine after all. But this is a good chance to make a bet with him.

I motioned for the maidservants to gives us a little time of us alone. Though they were reluctant to leave his highness alone with me, the prince excused themselves so they don't have any choice but to leave.

Once I knew that no ears were on us, I slowly, carefully laid down my cup, and looked at the prince in the eyes.

"Are you sure that you didn't take any interest at me at all, as your soon to be fiance?" I asked as I arched an eyebrow at him. He furrowed his eyebrows and huffed in annoyance.

"Of course! I will never see you as such!" He said as he smirked, he probably was waiting for me to cry in embarrassment as he just approved in showing no interest in me at all.

"Should we make a deal?" I said as I softly sip from my cup of tea.

"A deal?" He asked, confused at my choice of words.

"We both don't like the idea of getting engaged, so why don't we make a plan to destroy this engagement?" I proposed to him. He was shocked to hear what I said but agreed on the other hand.

I was mentally screaming and dancing at the back of my head, my eyes glistened as the prince offered his ear to listen to what I have come up with. He was a little taken aback at my bold words but he didn't' complain.

Basically we all just need to talk it out to our parents that we both didn't want this, and surely they will try to make us take back what we just said, and this is where the drama comes.

I came up with a pretty fun plan, and I thought that this prince wouldn't do it, but he actually said yes. His eyes glistened as he thought about it.

"Tell me, do you actually think stuff like this all the time?"

"If you only knew what I have in my mind," I said as I refilled my cup with tea, but this time, I loosened the nobility composure and acted like who I was in my past life. The prince noticed it but didn't say anything.

"Then what do you have on your mind then?" The prince said as he leaned on the table, resting his face in his hand.

"A lot of stuff that you don't know" I smiled smugly as I said that to him and he returned me a smile while he uttered a "Interesting" under his breath.

Finally, the time has come for us to actually carry out our plan, and like what we planned out earlier, we did exactly as we scripted it to be.

We entered the room, gloomily as both our parents greeted us with smiles on their faces.

"You two are here, come, have a seat, we have a big announcement for the two of you," My mother said as he ushered for the both of us to have a seat.

They all started to talk about us getting engaged and that they have already set a date to officially announce our engagement.

And this was our cue to start ur acting, and right on track...James said his lines.

"Mother, I have something to say regarding this," He said.

"So Do I" I also butted in.

"Oho? Tell me, Do you have any contradictions about the plans we have set for both of your future?" The king spoke up, as he glanced at the both of us.

This is the time I need to cry. Sad thoughts, sad thoughts, sad thoughts. Think about that time when I thought I didn't save the game data for this game and had to replay it back to zero, yes that time. c'mon cry you bitch Rachel.

"Oh nothing Father, I just wanted to tell you that I am more willing to have Rachel as my future-wife right M'lady?"

"Yes, Yes of course....I--" The tears that I once gathered in my eyes dried out quickly as I noticed that his script changed. That wasn't how we have planned!!

"wait what?" I was still confused, I thought we were trying to break this engagement off!

I eyed the crown prince who was smirking at me deviously. I knew I shoukldn't have believbed at him from the beginning! To think that he would actruallt helkp me from breaking off our engagemenbt!!! (edit: I knew I shouldn't have believed at him from the beginning! To think that he would actually help me from breaking off our engagement!!!)

(SN: Idk why, but I love cliches like this =3=)
