DEAR DIARY

Today started like every other day I woke up to the screams of my parents in the other room. It's becoming like a weird game trying to guess when they'll stop. Yesterday they argued back and forth till I was back from work at 11:30. Today they seemed to be arguing about something on the tv. So I dressed in my work clothes walked into the livingroom and plopped down in between them on a dusty old couch to see what happened that could cause them to almost come to blows? The tv was turned to the news. warning everybody to stay inside as a swarm of meteors would impact the earth in about two hours. But you know what they say about work it sucks but you go no matter what and since my parents couldn't be bothered to get off their lazy asses and get a job I was the one to work. on the way to the nearest bus stop I passed a convenience store that was being looted as a bunch of police officers pulled up to quell the riots as I got on the bus was when I saw an obvious homeless person holding a cardboard sign with THE END IS NEAR written in near illegible handwriting staring straight at me smiling grimly giving a nod and a wink. As the bus pulled away the first meteors became visible and they were stunningly beautiful. Though I started to get an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. I had just walked into the restaurant I worked at as one of the meteors hit right next to me and sent me flying into a wall.
