Two hours in school and I want to crawl up in a hole somewhere after saying good bye to Damilare I decided to finish up the rest of my registration leaving the hostels for last.

Walking into the admissions office, my whole body set up in an imaginary flame, okay what the hell. The line to the table was god-damn long.

I should just give up now, taking a seat next to a girl, I hope she is a girl because at this point I can't deal with boys right now.

"Good afternoon, Hi am Niniola, what's your name?" Groaning I turned to face the other side, "Am Ariyike"

Please stope talking to me.

"Are you here for the admissions registration?" What the fuck, isn't it obvious?, "Well yes"

"Okay me too, how long have you been around?" I was clenching on to the table

I need painkillers but all my medications are already in my room at the hostel, sighing, I have to deal with her, "I just came in today"

"Oh wow today, I have been here for two weeks now, met some really cool people, the food at the cafeteria is really nice, and some lecturers are actually nicer than I expected"

Does she ever shut up?

Ignoring all she said, I placed my head on the next seat, the person in front was a boy but he didn't complain, "I guess you don't talk much"

"Yeah I don't talk much, so please leave me the fuck alone before I actually channel my pain into a fist and give you something to keep you quiet for a while" I thought to myself.

Oh no! Please tell me I didn't say that out Loud.

Looking up at the horrified look on her face am guessing I said it out loud smiling, the boy in front of me snapped his head to the back his eyes widened a little.

I glared at him" Mind your business will ya" Leaning back on my seat I sighed a small gasp escaped through my lips, I hate people, so much.

It's a good thing they can't see my face, "Sorry for disturbing" Her voice was low, don't tell me she was hurt, I mean I wasn't even harsh

Closing my eyes I nodded, The line took three hours, I was on that spot for three Fucking hours, She left me sitting after a while not like I cared, it was finally my turn.

Getting my documents stamped before heading towards her table, she nodded towards me so I walked forward, "Good afternoon" She Totally ignore my greetings not like I cared tho.

"Name?"

"Ariyike Phillips" She scribbled something on the book in front of her, taking my admission letter from me, "Write your name date and you can leave, make a photocopy of the files and submit them to the students welfare office.

I nodded "Thank you" walking out of the building I took a whiff of the air in, sighing as I spotted my car, "God help me"

Three boys and a few girls were surrounding my car and a few others, and someone was sitting on the hood of my baby. "What the actual hell?"

Okay I should be rational they look like seniors,

Controlling my outburst, I smiled it's not like they can see my smile but then, just a little manners, it's either smile or I glare.

"Uhm sorry could you excuse me"  they all snapped their heads towards me, "All the 100 level students have no ounce of respect in them" A girl who looked like the reincarnation of Medusa but with a little face deformation commented, and don't get me started on her voice.

I made an eye roll, "Like can you imagine we should excuse you, little rat" Her friend am guessing, I mean you could tell, The poor sense in fashion, extremely low IQ, I mean who calls people little rat these days.

I didn't respond staying glued to my spot, "Run along now girl before we decide to treat your fuck up" When I thought the boys my be smarter but they just proved they are twice as stupid.

"Uhm one I am not a little rat, and please would you get your good for nothing, amoebic shaped body of the trunk of my car and take your low life stupidity somewhere else I have no time to deal with any of you"

The shock on their faces was my rewards, unlocking my car, I slide into the drivers seat, That was their cue, they moved off my path.

Driving towards my hostel, I used the school map, I am not planning on getting lost, I was retiring for the day, I can't take any more pain, I need my painkillers. Pulling up into the Hostel parking lot.

I got out if my car grabbing all my stuff, I searched for my room, my hostel was the first block on the entrance, the A block. Walking into the Hotel, my step mum and I was here last week to arrange my stuffs in my corner of the room. I was in room 42A, I had four roommates, yeah four!

Knocking slightly on the door, there was a low whisper of voices, am guessing the rest of my roommates already arrived.

"Come in the door is open" I heard a voice awfully familiar call from the room, Turning the door knob, it was Niniola, "Hi, am guessing you are the last girl to join us?"

She was bouncing on her feet, is this girl on drugs or what, how on earth is she this cheerful. Sighing I dropped my bad on the bed.

Taking of my mast and sunglasses, "I'm Ariyike, we met earlier today, I wasn't so nice" She gasped. "and they say God answers prayers I prayed you weren't my roommate"

The test of the girls watched the drama unfold, "I am really sorry about today, I was in a really bad mood, and you wouldn't shut up so I snapped"

She scoffed, "Boy troubles? Or you missing home" A girl came out of our joint kit hen with a bottle of water in her hands, "I wish, " I gritted through my teeth clasping my hands on my stomach.

"period cramps?" Niniola winced, I guess she understands, "Yeah they suck"

"Well If that's the case then, I'll forgive you" She helped me up, "You should take a quick shower, I have an homemade recipe I could give you am Ajoke"

The girl from the kitchen said, I nodded "Thanks,' She was a bit taller than Niniola, but amongst us I was the tallest, she had an oval shaped face, her eyes lashes were full and really pretty, she had small eyes which made her face more defined, her lips were a shade of pink, she had a broad chin and a pointed nose.

Smiling at her.i.looked around the room was plain, our stuffs were neatly arranged and no one touched my corner, which I am grateful for.

"We decided to wait till you arrive before we painted the room" I snapped my head back towards the girls taking ogg her head phones, "Am Teslima"

"Oh thanks I guess., Well I'm Ariyike" I was feeling really comfortable already, "Nice to meet you," Finally Walking to my corner I picked out all the things I needed to have my bath and new tampons I headed towards the bathroom.

It's been about an hour since I got to the hostel, and my period cramps, were reduced to nothing thanks to the homemade remedy Ajoke gave me,

The girls were cooler than I thought, we all feasted on the remains of the chocolates in my bag, so now we played on the floor watching Grownish

The last episodes credit display on the screen, Niniola switched of the TV, "Okay girls, I have an idea of what we can do, let's get to know each other, like an introduction, inform of a game"

Siting upright I was all that cranky now that i can feel my head, "What do you have in mind?" Teslima placed her phone on the bed as we watched Niniola pull out a ball.

"We pass the ball around, okay once you catch the ball you say your full name, your course of study, your allergies if you have any, 5 things you love and five things you hate, your unhealthy addiction and youra obsessions" She listed then too in a deep breath at the end of her speech.

"Okay, That sounds dope but let's add any illnesses we should know off and we add some more details along the way, we have all night before the orientation tomorrow" Ajoke chipped in as we made a small circle on the floor.

"Yeah but it's funny though, how colleges and universities make students, who barely know each other sleep in one room, but we are gonna make it work" Niniola was smiling ear to ear.

I'm starting to like her cheery attitude, I mean it stopped being annoying, now it's just refreshing when am not in pain.

"Okay I have a really bad aim, if I hit your face I'm sorry" Niniola smiled tossing the ball towards Teslima, the ball went straight between her and Ajoke and collided into the bed.

"Sorry, that was meant for Teslima" We all giggled as Teslima walked across to get the ball, "Well, I'm Teslima, Studying law".

"We have a lawyer in the house" Niniola whooped and Teslima smiled deepened, "Okay yeah we do, well I don't have any allergies that I know of really, I love music, dancing, food, lots of food, ice cream and piercings, I mean who wouldn't"

"Why are we so alike, I mean aside piercing though, those shit looks painful, how do you comfortably watch someone stab you"

Okay maybe Niniola was exaggerating piercing a bit but then, " I'll love to get piercing someday" I chimed in, "They look cool but my mum will freak out"

"Yeah, Piercings are my thing but I don't mind helping you girls do it, Things I hate, well they are not much really, Laziness and dirty, I'm too much of clean freak actually my siblings hate it, and that's all really"

"Let's see unhealthy addiction, they are two actually, Alcohol and vaping"

Her voice drooped down terribly low, I guess she was scared of condemnation, "I mean I don't do any of that but we won't judge you we all have addictions" Niniola's voice was comforting, she smiled and continued

"Obsessions will be movies, I am not sick in anyway at all" passing the ball to me I caught it mis air, "Oh wow my turn okay"

Why do I feel shy all of a sudden,

"Uhmm, Okay I'm Ariyike, I am studying Medicine and surgery"

"So even when we fall sick you have got us covered" Ajoke gave me a little elbow nudge, she could sense my discomfort.

I took in a deep breath, "Okay, lol uhmm I love they are a lot so I'll list out more than five, Books, and writing, music so much I can't go a day without it, Being alone unfortunately, "

"Yeah I could tell by your outburst today" Niniola voice interrupted me, I smiled she meant no harm " Uhmm well I love chocolates and uhm ice cream, I love baggy outfits, that's all I own actually and that's all I can think of"

"Things I hate, Don't ever wake me up when am sleeping, I'm so not a morning person, Won't say I'm super clean but I like my place tided, I hate parties and sappy romance movies"

I heard the girls gasped, " I'm being honest, no judging"

"How on earth do you hate, you know what you threatening to punch me I'm not shocked"

Am guessing she is never going to drop the issue.

"Okay unhealthy addictions, I stopped after therapy but that would be alcohol and I vape"

And you did drugs too,

I didn't add that though I'm weird enough already, "Obsession, Horror movies and crime documentaries, or movies"

"Unfortunately, I am sick, ulcer"

I passed the the ball to Ajoke, She caught it too.

"Okay wow you are really unique and fun, I can see my self spending four years with you and Teslima, I love Niniola already"...

The night went on and the games continued we played till it was 2 Am in the morning and Niniola slept off, We found out she is clean no drugs or vape, or even alcohol, she just loves anime, kdrama and some lovey_dovey romance stuff.

At the end of the night we all bonded better that we imagine, I mean we didn't go as far as family issues and boy troubles but it was a circle I felt oddly comfortable with.

Laying on my bed it was 3 Am and my insomnia was keeping me up the rest of the girls slept already, pulling out my diary, I turned the lock.

Dear diary,

Today was my first day in school.

Well it was annoying, like fucking annoying.

But I feel like I've made friends that I would come to trust with time.

I'm still scared of the journey ahead

But my first day was great I hope the rest will be too
