Chapter 3: The Demon

"fly? I'm sorry this is getting out of hand I'm gonna call the police"

"eeh? don't you find it suspicious that everything around you is normal except your memory? i know the reason for that and-"

"then just get on with it, tell me"

"okay chill.. um where do I start,  for starters there are 7 demons who ascended on earth right now and their goal is to save the humans."

"why?"

"because the god herself decided to wipe out humanity for the sake of other creatures she created, human are becoming a threat to other species but the devil negotiated with god, he said to her:

"I will make a more compatible shelter for humans to live in, a one where they live in happiness and freedom without war and hunger in exchange leave them alone" 

and the god replied "I've made the best place they can live in, you were the one that gave them the freedom to abuse it. If you really think you can make a better world for humans then do it far from any species I made"

"I only gave them an option, freedom was their choice"

"You're a stubborn devil huh? do what you want with them, I'll give you 5 years to create a world better than this and earth will crumble to dust, remember I only did it in 7 days"

Wait, 5 years!? when is that supposed to happen?"

"May 6, 2027 that would be the end of the world" 

"whoa why is the devil even protecting humanity, isn't it supposed to be the opposite?"

"sadly the humans are the most evil creatures the god ever made, she regret making humanity and that is why she's trying to erase them from existence, humans are demons' biggest source of evil and that is why we are trying to keep you guys alive"

"but why me? what are you telling me this?"

"Because we know that the devil will fail with his plan to recreate earth and it will cause mankind to suffer more, we decided to rebel with both their plans"

"..." Lily was speechless

"😑"

"Look, that is a good story and even if that is true there is nothing I can do about it. I'm just a frail girl who can't remember anything."

"Nah uh, right now you have my powers hehe"

"Nonsense"

"I am the demon of sloth Belphegor and you can manipulate time just like me :>"

"Ha?"

"We've been talking for about an hour yet your clock hasn't move a bit"

"It might just be broken"

"Then check outside"

Lily peeked outside the window of her room. Everything is frozen, even the ice cream that the child is holding are barely on the cone and the wind blowing the woman's skirt are all frozen in time.

"Do you believe me now?"
