Chapter 449: Climbing Mount Olympus part 8

"It's been a while... No... With all that's happened, the last time I saw you was what... 500 years ago? I don't remember much" [Diana - S].

"Still as distant as snow. Can't say much since I'm just the same" [Yuki Ona Queen].

Using my Fairy Awakening, I let the Ice Fairy Shiva do all the talking through my body. Unlike my previous awakening, where Fairy Queen Titania was dominant, this time my ice mana is off the charts, and a miasma of snow is enveloping me. I'm aware of what's happening around me as I allow Ice Fairy Shiva to speak through me.

This cold from Mount Olympus didn't bother me at all when Shiva took over my body. Not at all. That's an exaggeration, but if I have to be naked now, I still don't think the cold will bother me. Of course, I wouldn't be naked all of a sudden, but that's how comfortable this snow feels to me.

We are currently talking to the Queen of Yuki Ona, while other Yuki Ona are keeping quiet. They're literally a silent type of beauty, as described in much of the novel found everywhere. Unlike the succubi, who are beautiful and friendly, these ones smile but are also a little creepy. They try to be friendly, but given how much they love isolation, it seems unnatural to them.

Yuki Ona is originally from Southern Island. However, due to a constant monster rampage in the past, some sentient monsters like them moved out. As a result, Yuki Ona can now be found in places that are extremely cold. Mount Olympus is one such place, of course. The other places besides such a huge continent are the poles, where Santa Claus resides, another Sentient Monster, but a very friendly one. I surprised him last year when I went for a walk in the sky, so he promised me a very special present this year. I can't wait to see it.

"So Princess Ayaka is related to you as a resonator?" [Joseph].

"That is correct, Wise Sage. Her ancestors were once one with us, and she is blessed with the same powers, so our goals to save her are aligned" [Yuki Ona Queen].

Just as I was chosen to be blessed by the fairies, Princess Ayaka was chosen by Yuki Onas. Now I feel even closer than before. That's another reason why Mother Holle wanted her so much, and according to everyone, me too. As expected. I mean, who wouldn't want both my power and Princess Ayaka's power? For Mother Holle, this opportunity couldn't be better. She's perfecting her craft to sacrifice Princess Ayaka and at the same time find a way to snatch me from under their noses. Difficult, but doable, considering the entirety of Mount Olympus is her playground. Besides, she was once a disciple of Master Merlin, just like me, so of course she will be super-duper strong.

We must all be on our toes. For now, we need to find the base that Mother Holle used. I thought it would be easy since all of Yuki Ona are here, but, again, Mother Holle was once a disciple of Master Merlin, so finding her in this mountain that is 25Km away is a very challenging task. Our starting point should be somewhere near Hear, so let's track down Mother Holle.

"Are you going to help or have you lost your senses?" [Yuki-Ona Queen]

"Say the queen who couldn't even find her beloved princess" [Diana - S].

"Alright! All right! I know this is how you two communicate, but it feels weird coming from me" [Diana].

"My dear Cutie Pie Diana, when you get older you will appreciate this kind of smacking" [Diana - S].

"Pretty sure I won't!" [Diana]

"Seeing you basically talking to yourself is weird" [Falmer]

"Meow" [Fie]

I didn't realise it, but to outsiders it really does seem like I'm talking to myself, with different tones and intensity. They're not wrong, but I should probably take note and not do it in front of others. Embarrassment is one thing, but it might expose me when I'm under cover for whatever reason, and that's a no no.

"I picked up her mana. She may have cloaked it with snow, but of course I can pick it up" [Diana - S].

"As can we. If that's all you have to offer, you might as well go back into the child's soul" [Yuki-Ona Queen].
