1 Chapter 1: Faerun's Finest

In the peaceful village of West Harbor, there are two children asleep in their beds. Dreaming up child dreams until the sounds of battle arouse them. First, the girl jumps up and grabs her long sword. Next, the boy heads for his shield and they run out to defend their village.

The girl finds that many of the militia are scattered throughout the town and she goes and finds them. Then, a cry rings out. "Diana! Where are you?! " Diana quickly runs towards the source and finds that she was too late to save her friend, Amie. A mage just killed her and he conjures huge spiders out of thin air.

The boy hears Diana scream as a spider bites her shoulder. "Naofumi! Come quickly! " Naofumi runs through the village and they send the attackers back where they came from. Daeghun sees the fights die down and he goes to help the wounded and the dying. But many have perished already. "Lass, come over here. " And with those words, two heroes are born from war. Although they were young, they had to fight so much.

But that never stopped them in the slightest. Naofumi and Diana never backed down from the King of shadows. They never knew fear. Looking at them, you could never have guessed that they were strong at all. Naofumi and Diana looked rather skinny. But they know how to hold their own in a fight.

And as they traveled all over Faerun, no one could doubt their tenacity. Being raised by the eldest dragon does tend to make kids oddly enough very educated, hardy, easy to talk to, and have a strong spirit. That is easily seen in these two. They grew up to close friends and then the feelings of friendship slowly turned into feelings of love.
