Chapter 69

Elden and Fox teleported into the Heart kingdom where Lolopechka was waiting. The royal selection tournament that Julius organized would be starting in 2 weeks.

The other diamond captains could use runes easily now after training and experimenting.

Touya, Fana, Winter, Mars, Ladros, Mark, and Rachael were sent to the Heart kingdom after the captains came back.

They have already started learning the mana method and were still training while Elden and a Fox just arrived.

" Fox! " Lolopechka exclaimed as she ran up to Fox and gave her a hug. They had been talking to each other and had gotten pretty close.

" Hey, Lolopechka. " Fox said as she hugged Lolopechka back.

" Hey, Gadjah. How are the kids doing? " Elden asked.

" They are doing extremely well. You don't have to worry. " Gadjah said smiling remembering teaching his new students.

" Well enough chatter for now. I believe it's time for you to learn the mana method. " Gadjah said.

" Okay. " Elden said.

" I'll come later. I and Lolopechka will talk for a while before I start to learn. " Fox said as Lolopechka smiled in delight.

Gadjah nodded as he left along with Elden.

Going to the training hall, Elden watched as his students were training.

' So those are runes. Interesting. ' Elden thought as he watched.

" Yo King. You sure took your sweet time. " Ladros said.

" Yep. I needed to finish paperwork and find a replacement to take care of the kingdom for a while. " Elden said.

" Well okay. Besides this is pretty fun. " Fana said as she crafted arrows of fire and used runes to make them go in certain directions.

" It's a lot of fun. " Fana said smiling.

" Looks like it. Well, enjoy yourselves. I'm going to go learn now. " Elden said.

" Is Fox here? " Rachael asked.

" Yep. She's spending time with Lolopechka right now before learning the mana method. " Elden said.

" Okay. " Rachael said.

Elden continued to follow Gadjah till he stopped. Gadjah looked at Elden.

" It's time to begin. "

Asta breathed in heavily as he leaned on his anti-magic sword.

' Not enough. I only use this form 2 times a day even outside of battle. This isn't good enough. I'll be on a timer for the rest of the match. Any wound I get will help in wearing me down. I need to be able to enter this form, stay in this form for a long period of time, and make sure I use the right amount of anti-magic that my body can handle.

I need to train while using Ki. Let's go at it again.'

Asta took his sword as he breathed in to relax. Focusing on the anti-magic, he allowed it to enter his body. Feeling the energy rush into him Asta soon transformed into his devil form.

" Okay. Let's do this again. All of the lives I made up. " Asta muttered as he began to use his new moves.

Yuno laid on his back as he looked at the sky. Sylph the wind spirit flew down to him.

" Not bad. You were able to hold this form for a lot longer than normal this time. But you should take a break. There is nothing wrong with that. " She said to Yuno.

" No. I can't. If I do he will get ahead of me. " Yuno stated as he got up.

" Your rival Asta. Yes, I know. You said it before but are you sure you can go on. Even he will have to take a break to rest after a while. " Sylph said.

" I know, but I need to at least make it to the goal I set for this. " Yuno said as he activated his magic and took a deep breath.

" Hmm alright. However, after this make sure you get some rest, or else we won't train this form tomorrow. " Sylph said seriously.

" Okay. " Yuno said.

Sylph smiled as she fused with Yuno again. Yuno breathed out as he started practicing in this form again.

So like that the days passed and tomorrow would be the day of the royal knight selection tournament.

However 2 days before, Gadjah and Loloechla had their jaws dropped to the floor, while the other just sighed in awe and frustration.

" How is this even possible? " Gadjah asked as he looked at what Elden did.

Elden stood at the center while taking heavy breaths with a smile on his face. In a 200 meter radius, everything was wiped out.

The trees, grass, and the top layer of the earth below him were gone. It cut cleanly.

" I finally did it. It fucking worked. " Elden said.
