A cannonball exploded the mast of a ship that appeared to be a pirate's ship.

After this first explosion, many cannonballs exploded the rest of the boat, creating chaos on this ship.

You could see pirates attempting to escape, repairing, giving orders. At the same time, on the other side, another much larger and imposing ship fired cannonballs.

This vessel had the bow covered with diamond, giving a feeling of luxury and envy. Joz, who was giving orders to his men, had just destroyed the sixth pirate since his last stopover.

Seeing the scene in front of him, he sighed. Since entering GrandLine, he had faced so many pirates that he couldn't see the end of it. Worst of all was that he still hadn't met a navy.

He had been sailing towards the second island for several days, and every day he had at least one pirate attack.

The good thing about this was that he had gained two other Grade 1 Physical Strengthening Elixirs, which made him have 50 PS and 3 G1 Elixir.

He intended to offer them to the most deserving. For the moment, it was Pouis, Lilo, and David even though only Pouis had fought. Thanks to David, the diamond crew had managed to avoid a lot of climate change that could have destroyed part of the crew. Lilo had undoubtedly done the most work: as the three executives and Joz were on the ship, none of the ordinary men on the boat were dead, but many had been injured.

In addition, as Joz currently could not go to enemy ships, he had to sink the ships without being able to recover any treasures.

Thanks to all these maritime battles, his men became more and more seasoned in the precision of the shots.

'I'm going to have to recruit more workers,' Joz thought when he saw that he didn't have enough men to do a lot of the jobs. Without counting the executives (Daz, Marcus, and Robin) and himself, his crew consisted of 20 members.

After a day at sea, Joz and his crew reached the second island.

Compared to the first island, this one was smaller and had only one big city. From what Joz knew about this island, it was controlled by a nobleman who captured the new pirates to make them gladiators.

Joz and his men moored in the harbor with all the other boats. Contrary to what he hoped, no one had come to capture him as his bounty was high and also little known to the general public: making him an ordinary man in the eyes of these inhabitants.

Joz left Daz, Pouis, and three other people on the ship to protect him. After all, his boat was very luxurious, making many people want to steal it.

"OK, everyone, we'll meet up here at the end of the day. You all have your pocket money, enjoy," Joz announced, turning to his crew.

"OK, captains," they replied in unison.

Joz wanted to recruit men, and where was the best place for that?

The nobleman controls the arena in the city. Joz wanted to go, and if he met someone there with many potentials (canon or not), he would recruit them.

The whole crew therefore separated and entered the big city. The city gave the impression of being half ancient, half modern, which showed that the ruler of this city was rich and intelligent: smart enough to reinvest his money in his town. Joz had noticed that many noblemen, kings, rich, etc ... did not like to reinvest their money.

The city's main avenue was full of small traders who sold all kinds of things, from simple food to cold weapons (the world government banned firearms).

Joz first entered a store that seemed to sell snails; this store was a branch of the nobleman (and therefore the arena), which explained how this store had access to snails. Only people recognized by the world government had the right to sell this.

To enlarge the information accumulated by the GM: the snail phones sold by GM were made so that the Navy or GM could record and listen to the discussions of these users.

Joz knew that and wasn't worried. After all, even though he had a hefty bounty, he wasn't in the Navy's sights. Entering the store, Joz saw that the store manager was a tall man of about 2m10 who seemed strong in appearance. Joz would have mistaken him for a security guard if those clothes weren't so fancy.

"I would like to buy five classic escarphones," replied Joz quickly. He didn't want to waste time in this store and hoped to get to the arena as soon as possible.

"That will make a total of 50 million Berry," the man said with a greedy smile.

"No problem, take my order to my ship; my men will pay you. Considering the price, it seems you know me," Joz said, looking coldly at the man in front of him.

Seeing the tension rising, the security guards watching the situation moved towards Joz. Still, they were stopped by their boss, who waved to them.

"hahaha, Of course, I know you, Joz, Diamond Claws. Know that all the big heads of GrandLine (Paradise) know you and wait to see your moves to act ... a tip be careful...JOZ" replied the man who was gradually moving away from Joz to return to his upstairs office.

"Tsk ... we'll see ..." With these words, Joz left the store. Even if he expected a cliché of the style: arrogant boss, he was pleasantly surprised that in the world of One Piece, the weak did not have their place, thus giving access to the positions of power only to the strong ones (except everything that is inheritable by blood: kingdom...)
