31 Old Friend and Reminiscing

Hearing the doorbell I got up and went to answer it.

Today is Sunday, which means no school. Which means everyone is off doing their own thing.

Valerie is hanging out with Gasper as usual. Ever since their tear-filled reunion a couple of days ago the two of them have been inseparable. I also noticed that Gasper is gaining more confidence since Valerie is around.

Good for him.

Now maybe Rias will be able to use him in her Rating Game with Riser. Which means she'll owe me another favor and become indebted to me all the more. She doesn't realize it but she's eating out of the palm of my hand.

All according to plan.

I am really thinking about getting some fake glasses like Sona so that I can pull of an Aizen impression.

Moving on, Morgan and Chess are back at Blackspire doing whatever. Gin went out on his own, which he has been doing a lot lately. He also is pretty vague about where it is he goes. I think he's finally got himself a girlfriend. And if he does I hope he introduces us to her soon, that way we can tease him mercilessly. Lancelot and Jeanne went out on a date, something they haven't done in a while.

Speaking of Jeanne, she's definitely becoming more like Jalter. Her personality is getting rather aggressive in certain aspects. Especially the bedroom from what Lancelot tells me when we have our guys night. To think I would corrupt a holy maiden so thoroughly. If there was an award for it, I would gladly accept.

As for Dominque, she went home to spend time with her family.

So once again I am on my own today.

But that's all about to change.

Arriving at the door I opened it up.

That's when I saw four people standing outside.

One man and three woman.

The man is 19 years old, the same age as Chess. He is also extremely tall, his height being 315 cm. His attire consist of blue jeans a dark-red hoodie, and a white undershirt. As for his appearance he has deep red eyes, and short white hair, red strands intermixed with them.

His name is Shoei Higurashi.

He is a half-breed just like me. His mother is a human, but his father is a yokai. Actually his father is the leader of the East Youkai faction of Japan, residing in the Kanto Region.

And it's not Nurarihyon like in the DxD light novel series of the anime Nurarihyon no Mago. No, here the leader of the East yokai faction is a powerful dog yokai, an Inu by the name of Sesshomaru. Who looks just like his namesake from that one series.

This world just keep throwing surprises after surprises at me.

Anyway, Sesshomaru is the one who gave me Hyorinmaru all those years ago, and he is also the one who gave and my allies access to Touki.

Now as for the three women behind Shoei, they are his family.

The first one will all dark hair and dark-brown eyes who looks to be in her 30's but is actually in her 40's is his mother, Rin Higurashi.

The second girl who is fourteen-years old with with long-dark brown hair in a high ponytail with a single strand of red in it and a stoic expression on her face is named Setsuna Higurashi.

Meanwhile the last girl standing next who is the same age with short white hair, with red strands and a smile on her face is name Towa Higurashi.

Towa and Setsuna are Shoei's younger twin sisters.

I put a smile on my face. "Good to see you all again. Shoei, Ms. Higurashi. The same to you Setsuna and Towa. Please come in."

"Don't mind if we do." Ms. Higurashi said.

"Thank you." Shoei said. He then walked in with his mother and sister's following behind him.

I closed the door after at and then escorted them into the living room where I already had an assortment of drinks and snacks laid out on the table.

I have top class host skills after all.

"Please, help yourselves." I said, as I sat down on the couch.

"Thank you Kufa." Towa said. She then started eating the snacks with a vigor.

"Towa, eat with more grace." Sestuna chastised her sister. But she simply ignored her, causing Setsuna to sigh.

'Looks like those two are the same as ever.' I thought.

Setsuna takes more after her father. She is calm and stoic and you can never really tell what she's thinking, but she does care. Meanwhile Towa is more like her mother, you can read her like an open book.

As for Shoei he is a mix. He usually stays calm, but when something really pisses him off he will go wild with his emotions and hardly listen to what anyone says.

Just like the first time we met.

And what a meeting it was.

"We're lost."

"W're not."

"Yes we are."

"No, we're not.

"Are too?"

"Are not?"

"Are too?"

"Are not?"

"Are-"

"Both of shut the hell up!" Jeanne shouted.

That's when Lancelot and I clamped our mouths shut tight.

I would rather face off against an evil dragon that deal with an angry Jeanne.

"Thank you." Jeanne said with a smile. "Now give me that." She said, ripping the map I held right out of my hands.

She then started trying to read it, while also asking the people around us for directions.

We have never been to Tokyo before after all.

It's been two year since our world tour/training journey started and the time for it to end is close at hand. But that's fine. We've all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We've also gotten stronger, and I made some allies and friends just like I planned. I even unlocked balance break and got a new harem member.

It's incredibly satisfying.

Anyway, since we've visited practically everywhere else in the world we are now in the land of the Far East for our last stop. Right now we are in Japan, but we plan on visiting the other Asian countries as well like China and South Korea.

However we are also being extremely careful. The east is home to the Shinto and Hindu pantheons after all. Two of the oldest and strongest pantheons in the entire world. Not only do they have gods, but they have beings such as the deva and buddha who have god-like power. Hell, the Hindu Pantheon has Sun Wu Kong who was just an ordinary monkey yokai that managed to obtained god hood.

In the series he played around with the leaders of the Hero Faction like they were newborn babies. So pissing off anybody in either of these factions is a big no-no. That's not even mentioning Senjustu and Youjustu which isn't like the other magical systems in the world. Unlike formula-based magic, Senjustu and Youjustu rely more heavily on nature energy and life-force. Which gives yokai and those capable of these technique a better understanding of the flow of chi, allowing them to inflict damage to the spirit.

Yeah, definitely don't want to start any fights with them. I like my spirit just the way it is.

Moving on, at the moment my group is completely lost.

Lancelot, Jeanne, and I decided to see some of the local sights and told the others we would meet up with them later.

However before we knew it we got turned around, and the time for the meeting is drawing closer and closer. That's why we are frantically running around like a pack of chicken.

We could call them, but even if we did we would still have to find each other. That's why its better for us just to go to them.

Jeanne finished talking to a local and then came back over to us. She then showed us the map with detail instructions on it. "That noddle salesman drew me the best route to get there. Let's go." She said.

So with that we followed Jeanne's lead. Trailing behind her we made our way to our destination.

Entering a local park we picked up the pace a bit since no one was around and we could use our supernatural abilities.

Then the further we went into the park, the more we noticed that there were no people around at all, even though it is mid-day and we saw some in the park earlier right after we entered. But what really set off alarm bells is that we didn't see or hear any type of animals at all. There was also a weird energy in the air.

As soon as we noticed that we stopped in our tracks and put ourselves on guard. I spread out my senses, and then immediately felt something coming towards us.

I looked to my left. "It's coming from over there." I said, summoning my sword from its dimensional storage space.

Lancelot did the same thing with Caladbolg.

Meanwhile Jeanne created herself a holy sword that could multiply the sensation of one sense to extreme levels.

A favorite of hers of late. One she uses to torture enemies with a rather happy smile on her face.

We've all seen but decided not to talk about it.

It's better for everyone that way.

Anyway, whatever was coming towards us got closer and closer, until finally something burst out of the trees and landed right in front of us. But it wasn't what any of us expected.

It was a little girl.

She is eleven years old with white and red hair. Coming to a stop in front of us, she looked at us with a feral expression on her face. Getting a better look at her I noticed she has canine teeth, as well two red-line markings on her face. She's also giving off a strange energy.

"What is she?" Lancelot questioned.

"A yokai." I answered. "But from what I'm sensing she's just like me. Half human."

"The bigger question is, what is she doing out here all alone looking like she's fighting for her life?" Jeanne asked.

We got the answer to her question a second later.

A thick mist surrounded the four of us.

Then several figures appeared in front of us, wrapped in brown cloaks. All of them with the same ugly looking mummy face. Except for one.

His face looked like an alligator fucked a piranha.

The one with the alligator face moved a little closer. "Who are you people?" He asked us.

"Just people here on vacation." I spoke. "We're not looking to cause any trouble. We were just passing through on our way to meet friends when all of a sudden, your barrier entrapped us."

"Sorry about that." The yokai said. "We didn't intend to trap you, but the little one." He explained, pointing to the girl.

Who is looking at the leader with hate and fear in her eyes. But she's barely able to keep her eyes open. At the moment she can't even stand to her feet. Even so, her fighting spirit isn't wavering.

Impressive for one so young.

"You see that girl is the daughter of our leader. But she has a habit of running away. That's why we are trying to catch her to take her home." The yokai explained.

"Lies, all lies!" The girl shouted.

Yep that settles it, we just walked straight into a kidnapping.

"Now, now, young princess Towa that's enough." The yokai said. He then motioned for his subordinates to move closer to her. "You've caused enough trouble for the day as it is, now just come along quietly and let me return you to the commander."

The leaders subordinates moved closer to Towa.

But before they got too close Jeanne sliced them to pieces, pointing her sword at the leader. "What atrocious bullshit." She spat. "Obviously this girl hates your guts, and she is scared and injured. Enough of those disgusting words of yours. If you want to get this girl, you will have to go through me." She spoke.

She then looked at me and I sighed, shrugging my shoulders. I was going to step in anyway, but Jeanne beat me too it.

"How dare you?!" The leader shouted. "Do you have any idea what you've just done?!"

"Stopped a bunch of grown men from walking off with a little girl." I mused. "I just can't let pedos like you have their way. If I did I wouldn't be able to call myself a decent person."

"Attack them! Kill them and bring me the girl!" The leader shouted.

I paid him no mind and froze his subordinates solid in blocks of ice.

Lancelot then used Cadalbolg to cut them into nice little pieces.

The leader had a shocked expression on his face when he saw us take down his subordinates so easily. Taking that chance I moved toward him and laced my blade with ice aura, cutting off his head, both his body and head freezing right after I did so.

It's a new technique I've been working on, and it looks like the results are paying off.

After I was finished killing the leader I made my way over to the girl.

When all of a sudden I sensed killing intent aimed at me.

Jumping to my left, I dodged a fireball aimed at me.

Landing I saw someone land in front of me. He is a male who looks really similar in appearance to that little girl. They are definitely related.

"You monsters!" The man shouted at me.

"Hey, hold up a mi-"

I didn't get to finish, before the guy coated himself in Touki and launched himself at me. He closed the distance and threw a punch at my gut, but I held up my sword and blocked it, causing me to be thrown back a bit.

"Calm down!" I yelled at the guy, after landing.

He's not like the others we just killed. He's most likely trying to protect the girl, that's why I haven't killed him yet. But if he doesn't calm the fuck down I'm going to get a bit rough with him.

The guy completely ignored my words.

Instead he formed several hand-signs very rapidly, and then several fireballs coated in touki appeared around him.

He then sent them at me.

I called forth an ice wall to block his attack, but it only stopped a few before the rest came hurdling towards me.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance.

Touki really is useful. Enhancing both attack and defense, and being able to augment your attacks with it, causing even more damage to your opponent in the process. Not to mention being able to clock traditional magic at times. It's basically the armaments haki of the DxD universe.

That's why I want to learn it.

But at the moment I only know of two ways to obtain touki. The first is to learn Senjustu, but only Yokai and those with Yokai blood can accomplish this feat so that method is out. As for the second it's to train your physical body to the absolute limit and beyond, just like Sairaorg Bael does. However that method is out as well.

Focusing too much on physical strength will hinder my other abilities. Also I don't want to end up looking like muscle man Machio.

Basically Touki is out of reach for me at the moment, but that's one of the reasons I am traveling through the east. I want to see if their is another method that will allow me to learn touki other than being a yokai, or becoming a muscle man whose shirt explodes every time he flexes.

Dodging the remaining fire balls I shot a bolt of lighting magic at my unknown opponent, striking him in the chest.

But it didn't even slow him down.

He started gathering energy, and then his form started to change. He began growing a snot.

"Stop big brother!"

But immediately stopped, as soon as the girl called out to him.

He turned in her direction.

"Big brother stop. This onee-san protected me along with her friends. They killed Gagoze and his clan. So please stop, they are not our enemies." The girl quickly explained before passing out.

The man looked at me. "Thank you." He instantly said.

"No problem." I told him. "Also no need to apologize. You saw your little sister with a group of strange people. If I was you I would have done the same thing." I explained. "Let's start over. My name is Kufa Vampir, and you are?"

"Shoei Higurashi." He said.

Once Shoei calmed down he called for his companion, and then took us all to his family's mansion.

He also collected the others.

Then the situation was explained to us.

Turns out Towa was the daughter of the leader of the east yokai faciton, the powerful Inu yokai, Sesshomaru.

Gagoze was trying to usurp his position, but he was a yokai who was known for playing dirty.

While Towa was out with her guards Gagoze and his clan attacked, forcing Towa to run. Then she ran into us and the rest is history.

Sesshomaru was so grateful he told us to request anything of him.

So I asked if there was a method for learning touki other than the two widely known, and what do you know there was.

A master of senjustu could awaken the lifeforce of anyone, allowing them to gain the power of touki, just the fast method of learning nen in Hunter x Hunter.

So with that I requested he allow us to learn Touki. And that's how I, Lancelot, Jeanne, and Gin acquired the power. Touki didn't mix well with the fighting styles of the others, but that was fine.

After awakening to Touki we spent about two months in Kanto. Which is also where I partnered with Hyorinmaru after Sesshomaru showed it to me. He said the sword was a perfect match for me, and he wasn't wrong.

In addition to training I also got Sesshomaru to come a trading partner with the Progenitor faction, officially allying us with the Yokuai faction. Which is how I met Yakasha, since she and Sesshomaru was quite amicable.

I won't lie, Yashaka's chest is the real deal. An ocean of blood gushed from my nose as soon as I saw those legendary tits in real life.

However that didn't deter me from my ass fetish. Ass man for life, that is my credo.

Remembering all that made me smile.

"What are you thinking about?" Shoei asked me.

"I'm thinking about why you keep refusing to join my team." I said.

Shoei and I became quite good friends. So much so I asked him to join my team, but he refused, saying he wanted to stay in Kanto. I respected his wishes, but I haven't given up on getting him to join me.

Having someone as powerful as him along for the ride would make things so much easier. Also his Youjutsu and Senjustu skills make him very hard to fight against since most supernatural have no way to defend against such techniques.

But no matter how many times I asked he still says no.

"Like I told you, I have responsibilities." Shoei said.

"You're young, and stop using that excuse." I said. "We are both in the same boat after all. Being young masters. But even so I still find time to do the things I love."

"You won't get me to change my mind." Shoei said.

"I will." I told him.

We then locked eyes and imaginary sparks started flying between us.

Meanwhile his mother and sister just laughed at our antics.

Shoei and I kept going back and forth until it was time for him to leave.

But right before he did I gave him my cellphone number and told him to prepare.

After all with what's coming he's going to need to be ready.

Japan is about to become quite the hotspot after all.
