Chapter 4: Monster's Charge

"Everyone! Please calm down! I understand what you feel but we don't have enough strength to fight those monsters."

"You've just witnessed their unbelievable power just now, please remain calm and wait for the Military's orders!"

The middle-aged man tried to calm them down. However, though they completely understand the point of what he said, they will not know fear, even in the faces of monsters, just to satiate their desire.

"What's the problem with our strength? With that young man's help, we can completely crush those worm monsters!"

Right at this moment, a young man was standing behind the middle-aged man, he had a sword on his waist and wore a black coat with the highlighted word "Sword" behind him.

Black hair and blue eyes, he was standing with his eyes closed with the temper of a wise and patient old man, despising his young age.

His eyes were slowly opening, a sky-blue eyes stared at the man who mentioned him, his piercing gaze made the man gulp in fear.

At the back, Alex was also watching what was happening, he stared at the young man with a sword carefully.

"That man is not simple, my Sixth Sense is screaming to not start a fight with him, or else I would lose. I can't believe there is already a man like him on the first day of evolution. He's definitely a genius."

Alex's passive skill, Sixth Sense was giving him warnings. He began to be cautious of this man.

"That's Young Master Jian Shen, a member of that Sword Hall in the neighboring city. He was just passing by in our city when this happened, it was just our fortune that we met him if we didn't, we would've been killed by the monsters. I can't believe they want to use our savior for their revenge." The old man shook his head

He introduced the young man to Alex.

Alex slightly raised his brows when he heard his name, however, he wasn't too surprised. His country, Mongolia, is between two large countries, China and Russia.

His City was close to China, in fact, you could just walk a quarter of an hour to reach China. So he didn't find it strange that they sometimes pass by.

"Hmm..to think he already has the strength to fight normal class monsters. As I expected, I need to be cautious around him."

Hearing Jiang Shen's strength, he even becomes more wary of him.

At the front of the line, Jiang Shen is staring at a man with a freezing gaze.

Meanwhile, the man whom he was staring at was soaked with cold sweat because of his fear of Jiang Shen's glair.

He puffed his chest and gathered his courage, and he said.

"Wh-what? As a fellow human, you must kill those monsters for us! They killed tons of our brothers and sisters, they ate hundreds of children! As someone with great power, you have the responsibility to avenge them and make their souls rest in peace!"

The man raised his head proudly, and his posture was overflowing with righteousness.

Alex was dumbfounded watching this guy spouting nonsense.

The middle-aged man in a police uniform was also stupefied by what he said.

'This man...Is he getting himself killed? I don't even have the authority to command this young master and he just...'

The middle-aged man thought.

After hearing what the man said, Jiang Shen's expression from his calm and composed manner became more and more sinister, and a dark aura began to ooze from his body.

Killing intent swallowed the man.

Jiang Shen reached out for his sword at his waist and slowly released it from his scabbard.

KRIEEEKKKKKK!

Suddenly, a loud ear-piercing cry echoed. Its cry contained a minuscule mana however this was enough to knock down almost all the people here.

Alex looked at the people who were passing out from the loud cries.

"F*ck! We encountered a monster! And it's not just a normal class master."

From a distance, several shadows began to appear, their silhouette was not like a human and was at least 4 meters in height.

Jiang Shen looked at the approaching tall silhouettes, and a hint of panic flashed in his eyes.

"Those monsters are on a completely different level from those I killed before. Hey, Officer, immedia—"

Jiang Shen wanted to retreat but when he looked back he saw all the people collapsed on the ground. At the sight of this, Jiang Shen was enveloped with despair.

The shadows of the tall monsters became closer and closer, and their appearance also became clear.

Leading the charging monsters was a 4-meter-tall and 1-meter-thick body. Its whole body was covered in bronze armor scales.

Behind the bronze monster were five normal-class monsters.

"Damn it! How can I kill those things!? Even two of those normal-looking monsters are already hard enough to kill, but now a stronger one appears!!? Am I fated to die here!!!!"

Facing the charging monsters, Jiang Shen's mind began to anguish. He can't accept that he is going to die by being eaten by monsters.

Alex looked at his state, he patted his shoulder.

"Hey, why are you just standing there whimping like a child?"

"Huh?"

Jiang Shen looked at Alex a bit surprised.

"Get yourselves prepared, we will kill those monsters."

"Huh?" Jiang Shen was stunned again, kill those monsters? Isn't that a bit impossible?
