11 Chapter-11[Different Fire]
(Elder Lin's POV)
Why do I have to portray the role of the villain in front of juniors like that?
Right, it's Grand Elder's fault, he only notified me in the morning about Junior Yang coming with Junior Xia and told me to teach them some lessons... about strong cultivators but why do I have to get hate like this.
The look that Junior Yang gave me was quite hateful even though it was only for a second...
And, I had known her for such a long time..
I guess love changed everything.
And, right now I am teaching them how to refine the Star Herb, which I already started refining.
After a few minutes, the Star Herb becomes the liquid, and I saw that brought the other two medical liquids and started mixing them and at the same time refine them.
During the refining, the three liquids came in contact with each other and combined to form a blob of liquid in red color, and I quickly slammed my hand on the furnace at the left side making the liquid vibrate and start to fall apart turning into small liquid balls.
I nodded seeing that and again started refining the liquids with his full attention on them.
After some minutes, the orbs changed into small pills of red color with some lining on them.
I then slammed my hand again at the left side of the furnace and immediately, a strong aroma of medical ingredients came from the furnace as 7 pills started floating out of the furnace.
I quickly took a small bottle made of ceramic or something similar and put the pills in it.
"This is how you create Rank 1 Body strengthing Pills," I said and handed the pills bottle to Junior Xia and Junior Yang for them to look at it.
I then closed my eyes for a moment and the field that I had created all around the room vanished making both Junior Xia and Yang Ruiya relax.

(Xia Dongyi's POV)
I looked at the pills in my hand and took one of them out and handed the bottle to Yang Ruiya who also took one out while looking at it curiously.
'Wow... it's hard to believe that those three plants changed onto something like this...really alchemy is something else...and this small pill could strengthen the body of a cultivator in the Foundation Establishment Realm easily making it stronger... and this is only Rank 1....just think about Rank 9 then.... ha this pills will be going to help me increase my cultivation a lot...' I marveled at the capabilities of alchemy.
'But it's also because Elder Lin is a Rank 7 Alchemist that he could create 7 pills out of these three ingredients else a low ranked one would have made many mistakes during the refinement process, decreasing the amount of the liquid which will decrease the amount of the pills...I guess it was for the best that Elder Lin decided to teach us...' I thought.
Meanwhile, Yang Ruiya looked at the pill in her hand with a frown.
"Hahaha...." Elder Lin saw the expression on Yang Ruiya's face gave a hearty laugh.
I and Yang Ruiya become confused hearing him laughing like that.
'Did the old age finally get him..? I mean Elder Lin was laughing for no reason before too....' I thought, the lifespan of a Nascent Core expert is around 1000 years, and Elder Lin is on this level.
Elder Lin is quite famous in the sect as one of the 5 Nascent Soul Realm Experts, and his outgoing nature makes him more likable among the others.
But don't think of him as a good man, he reached that stage with his hard work and at the same time in the blood of others.
'Elder Lin is quite famous in the sect...for the fact that he banished his own disciple out of the sect because he was eyeing another disciple to make her his dual cultivation furnace, a complete slave. This act is looked down on in the whole human world...but Elder Lin should have killed him...but I guess you can't just ask him to kill the disciple he took care of since his birth...' I thought.
'But...I guess I have to get used to this...' I thought, living in the cultivation world will change even the purest soul...only someone exceptional cases could stay sane, but I knew that I am not one. Especially with how I had lived my previous life.
Elder Lin paused after laughing for a while and turns towards Yang Ruiya and smiled a little.
"Junior Yang, the pills that you usually eat are sometimes created by your master or his Daoist Companion...and both of them usually create Rank 4 or Rank 5 pills for you, so how could you compare them to a Rank 1 pill..." Elder Lin said calmly but with a smile on his face making Yang Ruiya blush.
"...Pftt" On the side, I heard what Elder Lin said tried to hold my laughter but it still came out making Yang Ruiya turn toward me.
Did she really compare her usual pills like this?
Really...How cute~
"Why are you laughing?! I just don't know about that!" Yang Ruiya said feeling embarrassed over that.
Elder Lin smiled calmly seeing us like this.,
I stopped laughing after some time and Yang Ruiya pouted on my side while looking at Elder Lin.
Elder Lin smiled a bit before extending his hand and a fire formed on his hand, a simple fire having no distinction from a normal one but it is different at the same time, you could tell it just by looking at it.
"Now, this is the spiritual fire that I created by using the spiritual energy in my body and the same fire that I use during alchemy. There are different types of fires that could be used for alchemy but I was not born with the affinity to use them but I did acquire one fire of that type."
Elder Lin said as he made the spiritual fire disappear.
I and Yang Ruiya listened intently as what Elder Lin is about to show is not something we could see on a normal basis.
'Different Fires, a fire formed through the natural process having different properties but it is not without risks...' I thought.
Elder Lin extended his hand and a blood-red fire formed on his hand and it was calm, completely calm but at the same time full of destruction.
"This is the fire I acquired during a trip to a secret realm. It was formed in a garden of millions of Blood-Essence Lotuses. This fire is called Blood-Essence fire. The more blood there is the more this fire will burn but I can't use it during Alchemy as it would harm the other ingredients, only those pills with Blood-related properties are better to be made using this fire." Elder Lin said calmly while looking at the fire with a look of melancholy.
[ Flashback
(Third Person POV)
"Are you sure you want this fire?" A woman who looks to be around her 20's having blood-red hair along with blood-red eyes, wearing the same blood-red dress asked.
"Yes, this is my final choice...I want to make it back, this place is not for me...even if I have to kill everyone waiting for my demise." A man who looked like Elder Lin but in his 20's said with determination.
The woman shook her head.
"This fire will give you a pain that you can't even imagine...Are you sure about that?" The woman wanted to remind more but seeing the determined look on the man's face, she decided to ask directly.
The man nodded and didn't say anything.
The woman seeing that mentally sighed, 'Can't he see that he is going to suffer for many upcoming years with this....well, it's his choice...'
The woman then extended her hands and a blood-red fire formed on top of it.
"Come and take it." The woman said while indicating the man to come beside her.
The man walked towards the woman and standing in front of her and touched the fire. The fire immediately engulfed his whole body making him start screaming. The man felt his blood boil so much that his skin even started to melt a little.
The woman looked at the man, with only the two of them being there, in the space with millions of red flowers, hearing the screams of the man.
"It's your choice, and your desire, so fulfill it." The woman said calmly and turned towards the flowers which turned into a bed and the woman seeing that nodded and lay on the bed.
"Thank you, my children." The woman said calmly and closes her eyes, falling asleep and the flowers started taking the bed at a different position.
Flashback End]
(Third Person POV)
Elder Lin smiled helplessly for a moment, 'Can't believe that I will ever remember about that after all this time. I wonder what she is doing...I never get to see her after that, or even ask what she was...' Elder Lin thought remembering about the woman, the reason why he is still alive.
Meanwhile, both Xia Dongyi and Yang Ruiya look at the Blood Essence fire intensely but the latter is not that much...
'This fire is strong but Master had the one which is even stronger...' Yang Ruiya thought comparing the fire with the one her master had.
'This fire will directly make anyone acquire the power to kill hundreds of thousands of people easily...but at the same time, it will give strength to the one would acquire it...' Xia Dongyi thought looking at the Blood Essence fire.
Elder Lin coming out of his thoughts waved his hand making the fire vanished.
"I think that's enough, now I will be teaching you how you are going to make the spiritual fire and make your own special fire, For Junior Yang, it will be Yin Fire, and for Junior Xia, it will be Yang fire." Elder Lin said calmly.
