The frogs
Time passed by quickly soon was the second time Henry had birthday where he became Ten.
Because of the many potions and elixirs they gave him as he grew up, and his natural talent, at the ten years of age Henry was already as tall as a fifteen year old kid, and a lot stronger than many adults.
His face somehow managed to be even more beautiful than before, looking like all the gods had worked together to sculpt it, his divine blue eyes looking like something even gods would fight to acquire.
The little tail above Henry butt grew longer than his body, the black scales above looked like highest quality polished black onyx and the blue scales below looked like perfect sapphires.
The little stumps on his head grew into two small black horns, and his big beautiful blue eyes below them now had vertical pupils like a cat.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you…" everyone sang and clapped, the candles on top of a three floor cake burned brightly.
As soon as everyone finished singing Henry blew the candles in one breath.
Amanda, the charming elegant woman with purple eyes and hair, wearing an exquisite purple dress, that called herself Henry mother, said "Happy birthday my sweet boy, now go open your presents."
Henry looked at the big pile of presents on top of a table and thought "They went overboard, again, and this time is even worse, there is at least a half a million dollars worth of treasures there."
As Henry walked towards the pile of present everyone looked at Amanda, thinking that they had overcame her this year, but their confidence begun to go down when she looked at them with a confident smile.
Henry picked the smallest box first and tore the present paper around it, revealing a bone box filled with magical circles carvings. He opened the box and saw golden pill.
Amanda said "You outdid yourself this time Randy, a golden pill. Where did you get it?"
Randy, a stylish man, with purple eyes, very short purple hair, a skinny body and long painted nails, wearing an expensive colorful dress, said "Hohoho, a talented young alchemist wanted to get a shop in town, I got him settled in one of our closed shops.
I was quite lucky, he managed to make this pill on his first attempt. Don't worry I got it appraised by one of your trusted alchemist, is completely safe, it should increase a stat by at least one point."
Wanted to be sure himself that the pill was safe Henry appraised it.
"Golden vitality pill (D)
Description: A pill made of a golden apple, blood of flesh flower, powder of a golden horn and four other ingredients.
Effects: increases the vitality of who eats by at least 3 over the period of a month and heals even internal wounds."
Henry thought "Why did it have to be vitality, I would have been happy with any other stat. Oh well" without thinking too much of it he threw the pill inside his mouth, it melted instantly the second it made contact with his saliva.
He grimaced when he felt the bad sour taste of the pill, having to force himself not to spit it out. But when it reached his stomach a pleasant feeling spread thru his body.
Karen, a pretty blond woman, with same purple eyes that everyone else had, and a yellow fish tattoo on her cheek, said "Looks like you lost Randy, you forgot that most pills taste awful."
Looking dejected Randy said "How could I forget something like that, but next year victory will be mine."
"Henry, how about you open aunty present next, is that big one over there."
As soon as Henry approached the big box he could hear a faint breathing. With his curiosity being picked he tore the gift paper around it and revealed the glass tank underneath.
Inside the glass tank was a fat light green bullfrog the size of a hand, in its head grew a little green crystal, like a horn.
Henry did not even need to use his appraisal to know what it was, he said "You found a baby green gem frog! I have been looking for one for over a year now, but its impossible to find on the spiritnet."
Karen said "This things are impossible to find even on the black market, they rarely appear in E rank dungeon. But I managed to hire a team to capture one." looking at Amanda who lost her confidence.
Henry did not even listen to what Karen said, looking a the frog who had taken a liking to Henry with one look. He opened the tank and put his hand inside, letting the frog leap on it.
He carefully stroke the frog, being careful not to touch its crystal horn. He said "I am going to show him his brothers." and ran out of the room, Cerbes following close behind him.
Amanda said "Aren't you opening. Tsk, you won this year Karen. How much did you spent on a E rank team?"
Karen said "I actually made money from it. I didn't sent a team to a E rank dungeon to just get a frog, I just said for them to keep a look out and that there was going to be a bonus for getting it."
James, a midget with a big scar on his big forehead and a mohawk on top of his head, said "You snake, you lied to the boy, we agreed on no lying on this."
"You talk like he even listened what I said or it would matter, the second he saw it he only had eyes for it. Amanda what is with him and this frogs? Doesn't he have other three of those?"
Amanda said "I don't know, he likes animals and monsters, but other than that red snake with a minute of dragon blood, that egg at the zoo and this frogs he is not that interested in taking care of other animals.
I can understand his liking for animals with dragon blood since he is part dragon, but the frogs are a mystery.
I am more worried that he is not interested in making any friend his age, just some internet people. He is smart and very talented but having friends is important too."
Henry happily ran thru the long corridors of the house, in the way he read the description of the frog.
"Baby wind gem frog (FFF)
Description: A special frog that rarely spawn only on FF rank jungle dungeons. The crystal that grows in its head can be used to make FF rank wands, but due to the low strength of the frog it tends to become food to other monsters in the dungeons.

"Finally, after two years I got all the frogs. This rare little fucks." he thought entering his big room.
On top of big fluffy animal bed, stuffed with feathers, right beside a heater, a ten meter long magnificent red dragon snake, wider than two grown mans heads, was sleeping peacefully until Henry entered the room.
She opened her red eyes, looked at him then slithered towards him, the frog jumped of Henry hand and ran away. The snake looked at the frog for a second, but knew she was not allowed to eat them so he just stopped in front of Henry.
The snake, which would make a normal grown man run like a frightened kitten, lowered his head and gently pushed Henry chest.
Without any fear, Henry gently patted the giant snake, kissed its head then said "Go back to sleep Hestia, I have something to do now."
Hestia didn't listed, continuing to push his chest like it wanted something. "You little glutton" knowing what it wanted, Henry walked towards a painting of a dragon on his wall, the snake looking all excited.
He took the painting of the wall, revealing the wall safe behind it. He inserted a bit of mana on a blue crystal right below a keypad lock then put his password.
A complex magical formation shone on the safe door then it opened. He picked an expensive looking blue box that felt abnormally cold to the touch.
As soon as he opened hot hair hit his face, inside where three orange worms. He picked one of the worms, which would burn a normal man fingers, and threw towards Hestia.
She ate it in one bite, squinting her eyes as all scales in her body shook with her happiness. She went back to her bed and rapidly went back to dream land, small flames leaving her nostrils when she breathed out.
He closed the magic cold box and put it back into the safe and took a small bag of blue powder from it.
Kicking the expensive red carpet out of the way, he drew a circle with the blue mana crystal powder In the middle of his room, then went towards the big glass tanks at the corner of the room and picked the three bullfogs inside of it, one red, one blue and one brown.
Using his tail to picking the light green frog that had ran below his bed, he put all four inside the circle of mana crystal powder.
And just like that their crystal horns begun glowing brightly, the mana powder accompanying it. A big smile appeared on his face as he saw the changes happening.
