37 37. Piranhas punishment...

"A delivery for Mr Damon King" a male voice echoed in the always silent department, and everyone's eyes turned to the same direction. Were two men stood with the package. They all wondered what it could possibly be. It looked like it was a big box. They couldn't really figure it out because the thing was covered up.

"Over here" Ben waves at the men.

"A Certain Damon King placed an order for a mini aquarium, so we're here to set it up.

" let me just check with him first" Ben picked up his phone and placed the call.

"Sir some people are here with saying they are here to set up an aquarium...

" Ahh, right on time. Send them in"

"You can go in. Ben ushers them into the office.

" is the boss redecorating his office? Why does he suddenly need a mini aquarium. Someone asked but everyone just took the question as rhetorical because no one had an answer to questions about why their boss does the things he does.

After a while, the men came out of the office.

"oh, I almost forgot, he got an email from StriDon. Isla said picking up the phone and placing a call.

" What Ben?

"Hmm, sir it's not Ben, I just wanted to give you a report on your mails.

" I was about to call you in anyway, come in. He said then hung up.

He wanted to see her, what for. Why was she having her hopes up, what was she expecting. She found herself straightening her clothes, her hair, touching her face.

She knocked and he gave her permission to enter, but as usual she didn't walk past her limit, which was the door.

"Sir, you have an email from a director Sheldon from StriDon, saying he'd like to meet up with you today. Her words made him scoff.

" Director Sheldon you say?

"Yes sir.

" okay, set a time for when I'm free today and tell them I'll meet with him.

"Okay sir. He wasn't even talking harsh to her today. God he really isn't mad with her again. She thought happily. But maybe, just maybe she was getting happy too soon. She turned to leave.

"where are you going to, I said I was going to call you before right.

" I'm sorry sir, do you have a task for me? She said with a smile on her face.

"Did you notice my aquarium, he points at the tank that was about two feet away from her. What do you think, do you like my choice of fish?

" she takes a look at it, and just now realizes the tank had three piranhas swimming inside.

"I thought you don't... She turned to face him, and whatever smile or niceness she thought she had seen was completely wiped off, there was this cynical look in his eyes. Like he had something in store for her.

" I dropped my pen in the tank, get it out. He orders, and she was utterly shocked at his words, he wanted her to deep her hands into a tank of live piranhas.

" But sir they...

"you don't want to, then don't. Just pay me the hundred thousand dollars fine. So this was his plan all along, smiling to her, talking nicely to her, he just wanted to hurt her not just emotionally but also physically.

Her feet were sweaty, her legs shuddered, her whole body trembled. It was a tank of living piranhas for God's sake. How was he so wicked as to make her do this.

She looked into the tank, the hungry piranhas clearly ready to devour her if she even moved closer. She turned around to look at him again, and he clearly didn't give a damn about her plight.

"Dam.. I mean Mr King, please I'll do anything else, I'll get you a new pen. Please I beg you, don't make me do this. They'll eat up my hands before I even reach the pen. She put her pride aside and pleaded for mercy.

" But I don't need you to do anything else for me, and I don't want a new pen either, I just want that one. So get it out and get yourself out of my office. He replied angrily.

Tears welled up in her eyes, she looks at the tank, slowly she takes her trembling hand, and moves it close to the water, and one of the piranhas jumps up almost biting her finger off.

"Mr King, I'm sorry for whatever I did, please forgive me this once, I'm really sorry., she went down on her knees. She was just too terrified. One almost ate her finger off and she couldn't imagine them actually biting her. Whatever it is you're punishing me for, I'm sorry please just let it slide this one time.

"you think I'm punishing you huh? Is this punishment. I haven't tied you to a pole and whipped the living hell out of you, at least not yet. And you call this punishment. I just want my pen that's all. Get it for me. He was really heartless.

"Damon please, please don't make me do this I'm sorry, please I'm so sorry Damon, whatever it is I did this time, please Damon, please. I'm sorry. She was now crying and calling his name, and he really wanted to acknowledge that it didn't affect him at all. Her tears, her sobs, her crying plea, her calling his name. It didn't affect him one bit, or so he wanted to believe.

"Stop calling me by my name and just do what I asked. Your stupid sobs will not save you. He really wasn't going to listen to her. She wiped her face, stood up and bit on her lips hard, closing her eye, trying to draw in every courage she could.

Then without thinking much longer, she dipped her hand...

"Stop... He said, just before her hand went further into the tank.

She breathed down, inhaling and exhaling heavily, thanking God that he stopped her.

" Now that fear and terror that you're feeling don't forget it. Always remember it when you pick up your damn phone and decide to send me some stupid messages in the middle of the night. Because the next time you do something as stupid as that, then both your hands will really be going into that tank. Do you understand? Now Get out.

So that was what all this was about. instilling fear in her because she sent him some texts.

"So it's because of the texts. She whispers, but loud enough for him to here. She bit on her lips hard once again, and with as much speed as she could muster, she dipped her hand into the tank quickly and pulled out the pen., and his eyes widened, you could see the terror written all over his face. but not before one piranha got to her wrist. It bit her hard, blood dripping from her wrist.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? He roared angrily.

" What? She yelled back angrily, clearly shocking him. I just did what you asked me to. If this is the punishment I get for sending some texts to you, then I'll take it every morning because from now on I'll keep on sending you texts.. Why was she suddenly yelling back at him, he just stood there speechless. He'd totally forgotten how high she could shout. And how intimidating and commanding she could be.

And yes I'll be texting in the middle of the night because it's not like I can sleep anyways thanks to you. So I'll keep on texting you in the middle of the night, and come here every morning for my punishment until you realize I'm really and truly sorry and you finally forgive me.

And that was it, she stormed our of his office leaving him completely dazed. He wasn't having trouble breathing, he was just dazed.
