Damon wondered why she was suddenly holding him super close to herself as soon as they stopped out of the room. Her grip became even more tighter the moment they stepped into the lobby where the rest staff members were gathered. 

Slowly, she laced their fingers together, it was almost as if she wanted someone to watch her while she did it. And that was exactly what she wanted. 

"I didn't get ditched." she suddenly says, looking at Jenny. "and my gardener didn't abandon his Rose either." she snapped at Angie too. And now he could understand why she was clinging to him so tightly. These ladies must have taunted her about his absence. 

"What happened? Did they disturb you?" he asks, he had the power to make this trip unbearable for them both, and even end their contracts with the company that moment. All she had to do was say the word, and it is done.
