Marriage Contract

In a silent room, a girl was sleeping on the bed looking pale and weak as sun rays kept pouring out through the windows blinds to her face. It was a fully lit room with a queen-sized bed in the middle, with peach, carpets silk rug floors, and a vanity table with just a hairdryer on it, a little groan was heard from the lips of the girl, breaking the silence of the room, as she opened her eyes.

Sheanelle opened her eyes wondering how she appeared in an unknown room on a bed, trying to process everything she remembered. All she remembered was being dragged into a car as she didn't know what was happening, some people were taking her somewhere but just as she was setting up her thoughts, she heard the door opening as a man walked in. He was just standing there and looking at her without saying a word since he walked in and she couldn't also bring herself to say anything too.

He had a dark aura around him, which carried fear but that only enhanced his drop-dead beauty, he looked like he just walked out of a painting, like he was specially crafted by God. From her father and mother she didn't expect him to be that young;

"Your parents are being held"

His deep voice kicked her out of her thoughts and her as widened as it filled with fear and disbelief, her eyes followed him as he entered inside the room and took a seat on the chair close to the door.

"Do you know what happened?" He said as he put his hand under his head, then rested his head on that hand.

She was supposed to sign a modeling contract to be a model under a company yesterday, she didn't know much exactly about the company but she knew it was to last for 2years and if she wanted to terminate the contract she'll need to pay a fine of 5million dollars and when she found out that she wasn't becoming any model but was being sold to work in a club as a prostitute, she immediately tried to cancel it but when she couldn't pay after a week of searching for the money they started giving her threats to her and her family, leaving him to pay for her debt. The people were still not satisfied and took her parents, keeping them as hostages.

Sheanelle bit her lower lip;

"I'll try and pay back the money but please what about my parents?"

It was the first time she talked since she woke up.

"I'll get them back" His voice was plain as he looked at her with no emotion. Shanelle breathed out a sigh of relief.

He owned a multi-billion dollar company, 5million was nothing to him. He makes more than that in a day.

"When can I get them back?" She asked.

He didn't answer her question, instead said "I'll get someone to bring some clothes for you" He then got up and just when he was about to close the door and leave he stopped and said "Come and meet me when your done" then he left.

She then started getting furious about how he just ignored her and started cursing him in her mind but she got cut off from her thoughts when a young maid came in and said politely "Miss, here are your clothes young master has sent for you."

"Oh, thank you," She said with a smile, the young maid smiled back at her too before leaving the room.

Sheanelle then went to go lock the door from the inside before going to freshen up. Minutes later, she was done freshening up, she then opened the door and came out and was shocked to see the big mansion she was staying in. It was a fully carpeted silk rug floor just like the room she was staying in. The Walls were sparkling white and simple, the staircase had gold railings with red carpet rugs leading up to the staircase but before she could get lost in the beauty, she remembered she had to go see Asher upstairs. Just then the main that came to give her the clothes walked to her and asked "Miss, are you looking for something?".

She then turned and smiled and said " Yes, I'm looking for your, young master's study, can you please help?". The maid then nodded then lead her upstairs to the study before leaving.

She stood there before knocking on the door, then she heard him say "Come in". She opened the door to see him sitting behind a table with some files on top, as he kept flipping the file in his hand. She couldn't help but game looking at him being so handsome even when working then he said breaking her trance. "Sit down," He said before she sat down on the chair facing him. A few minutes later he closed the file in his hand before putting it in front of her, he then said "Open it". She took it and opened it only to see big black letters written at the top 'Marriage Contract'. She was confused seeing that before she could process it, he said again "Read it". When she was done reading it, she then finally said;

"Why is there a marriage contract between you and me?"
