Chapter 53: The Heart that Became Light

Based on the sky of Glassglow Woodland, it was around late in the afternoon when Camille and Mr. Wang got outside the magical cave. They met with Haru and Ali inside the cottage who had just had their little nap.

"We'll try to explore and observe around at night here," Haru explained. "Glassglow Woodland might have a feature at night like the parade in the Tale Park. We'll look out for those, so you two can take a rest."

"How thoughtful, Haru," The young lady commended. "Thanks. I'm actually feeling quite sleepy right now."

"You should have at least some dinner. There are unique fruits and food in the deep forest if you just look around."

"Nah, I'll just take some when I get up and get hungry. Or I could just stay in the magical cave if I'm too lazy."

"I guess the magical cave constantly heals hunger too…"

"Yeah, that's what we figured."

Camille took the single bed on the corner of the cottage and laid down to take her rest, while Mr. Wang was left with Haru and Ali. It was naturally awkward and quiet as soon as Camille began snoring at the corner, but Haru was feeling courageous enough then to speak up.

"T-There isn't much information in the devil's journal entries this time," He muttered. "That's the truth."

Mr. Wang didn't answer. He just sat on a wooden bench and rested his arms on his thighs. His head is a bit messy right now to be dealing with traumas, memories, confusion, and suspicion all at the same time.

"If you meet the devil who made these worlds one day in this world, young man," Mr. Wang softly spoke. "What would you do? Is there something you'd tell him?"

Haru didn't know how he would answer the question, so they were left with silence again. Soon, Mr. Wang retracted the question and just let it go.

Later on, the looming night sky beckoned Haru and Ali to finally go outside and do their exploration. It was getting dark when they noticed something from afar.

Even with the gigantic trees and oversized plants and flowers, they saw from a distance something glowing. From their perspective, it looked like a green shining orb or a glass dome, so they immediately got curious, knowing well this may be part of the world's features.
