Chapter 41: Magical Forest

Alicia embraced them for the last time as a gesture of good bye.

For Haru, Ali, and Camille, their stay there in the Tale Park World was a whole ride.

Camille kept on crying about how she'll miss Alicia so much and that she was one of the most dependable people she'd ever met and wanted to stay friends with.

Haru tried to look tough, saying casual farewells to her. Although, he admits that he would feel uncomfortable embarking on the unfamiliar journey to their return without her. It's true, after all, that Alicia has been a reliable person.

He would acknowledge that this mission might be more difficult without her, especially when his arm is still injured. It's slowly healing, but it still hurts.

Later on, they started talking about Mr. Wang.

"What do you mean, you haven't seen him?" Alicia was confused. "But I just talked to him last night!"

"You did?!" Camille gasped. "But I have been searching for him the whole time! I was worried! Is he okay?"

"Hmm, well he does seem alright to even go to me and comfort me after seeing through my memory. But if he's not showing up to you, maybe he wants to go his way."

Camille looked disappointed and disgruntled.

"If he ever shows up again, I'll tell him you proceeded to the next world already," Alicia assured. "Just go ahead and find the way out. I'm sure he'll come around sooner or later. Even if he keeps telling us that he wants to stay in this devil's world, I could feel he's curious about each of the worlds. He'll definitely come."

"Thank you so much, Alicia," Haru smiled. "We'll return soon with good news. I'll be sure to find a way out here."

"I'm thrilled to visit Eugene's grave again to give him flowers. But Haru, don't push and pressure yourself too much, alright? You tend to shoulder responsibilities. I know you're just that kind of person, but take it easy."

After their hearty conversation, they went over to the portal. And when it finally opened up, they went through it and were transported to a whole new different stage of the devil's world.

They could immediately tell what the next world's theme is just by glancing at it.

Haru helped Ali stand up from falling down, being disoriented by the transportation.

The next world was lush, greenly, and abundant. It's like a whole forest with heaps of towering trees and gigantic flowers. The dewy grasses and leaves on the ground were rich and dyed with all shades of beautiful green, purple, red, and blue. Small lights of white and light blue and pink float like fireflies during the nightfall.

"This… is a magical forest! It's beautiful!" Camille suppressed her voice filled with excitement.

Haru could feel nature and magic all around the place. It's true, the place was beautiful and ethereal.

"There must be something written in the devil's journal about this, right?" Camille asked in an undertone. "So, what is it? What is it? What's this place called?"

"Uh… To be honest, I'm not sure yet since I haven't—" Haru stopped when he saw a wooden plaque hanging over a tall tree from a distance.

The characters are extremely familiar and entrancing, so he ran towards it as if racing onto something.

Camille followed and they read the characters. Glassglow Woodland. It must be the world's name.
