Chapter 118: Assert your dominance in the prison

"Hmm." Momonga sat down behind a desk in the 'True God's Church'.

He had teleported straight into the church's 'CEO' office after sending Xenovia a message that he'd be coming over to check up on her and Irina, and Misla Bael who had apparently been transported there during the night.

Xenovia had answered that she'd have a surprise waiting for him, but Momonga didn't see it as he took a look around the office. 'I guess I was too fast in coming over here… Or she expected me to use the front door…'

Momonga sighed as he realized he had more or less ruined whatever Xenovia had planned for him, but at the same time, he wasn't really in a state of mind where he could take many surprises in a row. 'Then again, after the… whatever the surprises of late have been… I suppose experiencing some pleasant and fun surprises could be a welcome change…'

He felt a bit weird in that he was actually looking forward to being surprised, even if in a pleasant manner- After all, to be surprised also meant that he wasn't expecting what was happening, or in other words, he was not in control of the situation at that time. '...I was utterly paranoid out of my mind when I first arrived here, and if I wasn't stuck under Sirzechs's stare and thus forced to act 'normal' I'd have probably hidden myself underground for tens of years while getting a grip on what was going on…'

Momonga sent Xenovia another [Message], apologizing for sneaking in through the back, so to speak, and asked her where Misla was.

'Ah, Ahem. She is in the infirmary wing, but I'll have her transported to you at once!' Xenovia sounded a bit surprised and disappointed, but nonetheless pressed on. 'Ah, and about those three aspiring champions- They have managed to complete the hardest 'course' available without dying or becoming utterly mind-broken. I sent them to greet you, but… Ahem. I'll send them to you for your personal evaluation, my lord.'

"Aspiring champions?"

'Rias-sama said that three Fallen Angels had sought to become your aspiring champions, or in other words, part of your harem…' Xenovia paused as Momonga had a coughing fit. 'My lord?'

"N-No, it's nothing, continue…" Momonga stabilized his breathing but both told and motioned Xenovia to proceed with the explanation while he listened and would ask for clarifications at the end. 'What? Am I being used as a prize stallion for my cult or what?!'

'Ahem, so the trio succeeded in their trials and have gained enough humility, as Rias-sama noted that they lacked it.' Xenovia continued. 'It'll take a moment for me to get Misla-sama to you, so if my lord wishes I can send the aspiring ones to your office? I'll send Irina to let them know they aren't needed at the front and Irina can take over…'

"It's alright. I can go to the infir-"

'My lord, please. The trio were begging for you with such desperate and cute voices, it would be quite sad if you didn't at least give them a chance…' Xenovia sounded a bit sad, and Momonga sighed.

'I suppose it should be alright… I can just take a look into my levels while I wait…' Momonga realized another opportunity and agreed to Xenovia's request.

He adjusted his position in the chair, leaned his elbows on the desk, breathed deeply, lowered his chin to rest on his hands.

And finally, Momonga pulled the level sheet of his character sheet open.

'...[Lover] is level five. [Actor] is level five.' Momonga felt resigned and was glad that he was both sitting and holding his head in a stable position as without both he would have either fallen over or slammed his head against the desk. 'And as for the others…'

.

.

.

Sairaorg breathed in, and breathed out. 'This is it… Right…'

Kuisha squeezed Sairaorg's hand a bit to both draw confidence from Sairaorg, but also to give him the strength to push open the double-doors which presumably led to the office of the True God.

He had come across a brunette who had introduced herself as 'Irina' and she had asked if Sairaorg and his Peerage had come to join the cult.

Sairaorg had explained his case, causing Irina's eyes to brighten up in recognition as Sairaorg mentioned Misla, and she had directed Sairaorg to an office in where the True God resided at the moment as Irina's companion had gone to bring Misla to said God in preparation.

For some reason Irina had also directed the miserable trio to go with Sairaorg, and Sairaorg had in turn asked his Peerage members to carry the ball-and-chain butt-plugged nun-outfit wearing odd angels. Although his Peerage members had been a bit reluctant to even touch the trio, finally managing to hoist them to princess carries while clearly feeling as if they were touching something diseased.

Sairaorg knocked on the door to the office, but got no answer.

He hesitated for a while before knocking again.

.

.

'...What the hell is [Ancient Evil], and how exactly did it level to five… That's thirteen levels wasted, what are the last fifteen levels on…' Momonga felt quite faint and distracted as he contemplated the possibility that the ero-world might have wasted his levels on roleplay-related stuff.

His head spun as he contemplated the wasted opportunities and possibilities, and his future now that he'd have to try to make most of what he had- And Momonga was fairly sure he'd have passed out if his 'real self' wasn't a skeleton. 'I mean, I get it… My YGGDRASIL build was effectively that of a 'dark master', so figures that ero-world would put points to roleplaying… But I'd really need some levels on dragoon or something so I could use that spear I got from Odin without resorting to [Perfect Warrior]...'

He didn't even realize that someone was knocking on the door.

Nor that his waist felt a bit chilly for some reason.

.

.

Sairaorg was feeling quite unsure as no response came to his knocks, and finally realized that he couldn't afford to just play the role of a subservient wretch coming to beg a great lord for table-scraps. 'If I appear too weak or subservient, I'll have no grounds to haggle from… I'm sure he knows that, and is either trying to pressure me into giving up or trying to see if I'm worth anything… While my position is weak at best, even a weak position is better than approaching Him by crawling with my head between my legs…'

And so, Sairaorg took a deep breath and opened the doors. "True God! I have come to bargain!"

Sairaorg was fairly sure that his earlier theory was correct as the True God, while outwardly looking like a particularly tall if average-looking Japanese young man, did not hide his 'true' mood behind a mask of emotions.

Indeed, he was sitting behind his desk, looking past Sairaorg while in deep contemplation with his chin resting on his hands while his elbows rested on the table.

It was the classic 'schemer' pose, which suited the disguised deity well- Not due to what his body looked like, but for the expression which was that of a dark lord contemplating his next scheme, and pose which was that of a master of many plans.

The fact he had chosen to adopt that posture let Sairaorg knew that he must have known that Sairaorg in turn knew of the True God's true nature- Not as a benevolent deity, but rather as a sadistic tormentor who took everything and twisted it to suit his own ends.

'I suppose this makes things simple…' Sairaorg didn't even spare a glance behind him as Kuisha took a sharp breath, and the three nun-clothed gray-angels let frightened whimpers.

"I am Sairaorg Bael, new lord of House Bael after you slew my father. I have come here to bargain, and announce that I shall not avenge my father- Instead I offer the loyalty of my house to your cause, with the condition that we are treated fairly and are given rights equal to those of other clans, clades and houses within your fold." Sairaorg told the True God with headstrong voice, outright ignoring the usual spiel of long-winded introductions as he knew that both knew it was useless babbling- Both Sairaorg and the True God knew each other deeply enough that such a thing was unnecessary, even if neither had met the other before.

"Hm…" The True God's eyes were glazed over, and it looked like he wasn't taking Sairaorg's offer seriously.

'What- eh?' Sairaorg didn't let his posture droop even though his mind was getting a bit confused. 'Ah, I see. I suppose that was something he knew already, as I had told that to Michael-san already who'd have relayed the information to Him… Hm, in other words he's telling me where my place is- That he won't even bother to acknowledge the presence of people who pester him with information and pledges he is already given.'

It was a posture and policy of an arrogant God, but at the same time, Sairaorg knew that such posturing was not empty bluff, but was backed by a core of fanatical and strong followers, resurrections, healing, and most of all, the strength of the True God himself- Something that Sairaorg knew very well to be both real and immense.

He recalled the stories he had heard from the 'Maou faction' survivors of the peace council's ambush, of True God felling a forest of Dark Young, striking the ground with a staff to part the earth and sea like a prophet of ancient past opening a way for his people, killing a Outer God with a single blow, and finally the survivors had seen Beelzebub fly over the devil encampment with dead Sirzechs on his shoulders, presumably killed in an assault upon the True God's stronghold in the Underworld.

Sairaorg was well aware that his posturing was like that of a buzzing of a fly- And that he needed to word his request with extreme care and precision in order to become a fly that caught the True God's interest in amusement, word the request in a way that might yet be fulfilled, rather than as an annoyance to be squished.

.

.

'So [Ancient Evil] allows me to more or less terrify and mislead people who mistake me as a monster, which means it's effectively [Actor] but in full [Chuuni] form… Figures… Well, I should have seen that coming from how Lady Phenix acted and so on… ' Momonga sighed internally while his posture was frozen externally, a testament to his mental state. 'Five levels in [Destroyer] makes sense, I guess, considering that I've effectively obliterated the Human World indirectly through my actions and kill-stealed Cthulhu… From the flavor text that class gives me basic proficiency with most weapons, which does help since it allows me to use [Billion Blades], [Ginnugangap] and [Spear of Yggdrasil] without needing to class-lock myself to warrior with [Perfect Warrior], and the rest of the effects give me [Instant Death] on all attacks as well as a in-build [Penetrate]-equivalent on all spells… Uh… And I also got five levels on [Eldritch Horror]? How did that happen? I guess I used [Sacrifice] on Cthulhu, but did it partially transfer some of its abilities to me in addition to it's experience?'

'...But how exactly did that [Eldritch Horror] further level up to give five levels in [Umu]? What exactly does [Umu] mean, and why can't I read the flavor text of that class? It's basically alien jargon… Wait, I think I we had glasses that auto-translates written languages… Eugh… I think I left that in Nazarick… It wasn't really necessary outside the library so I didn't bother to bring it with me…'

Momonga was deep in his thoughts and had shut down most of his motor functions while staring at a wall.

There was some man making a grand speech or something in the same room, but Momonga couldn't care less as he was too lost in his internal terror to do much more than stare straight ahead.

There was an oddly wet feeling around his waist, but that too was ignored.

.

.

.

Sairaorg paled a bit as he heard something scraping behind him, and resisted the urge to shake as a group of nuns pushed a stretcher into the office room.

And on that stretcher was Misla Bael, as pale, unresponsive and motionless as before, yet not lifeless- A tell-tale sign of her Sleeping Sickness.

"One Misla Bael, as requested, my lord!" The blue-haired woman who had come with the group of nuns addressed True God easily and casually, cluing Sairaorg that she was likely either the deity's lover, aide or a cultist. "Further orders?"

It seemed that True God decided to acknowledge the blue-haired woman as he slowly turned his eyes towards her, as if the whole concept of addressing the people in the room was below him.

"I see. Thank you, Xenovia. You're dismissed. I'll call you later, let's have a chat. I could use some distractions right now…" The True God spoke with calm, calculated words that failed to conceal an internal turmoil- And Sairaorg was not looking forward to discovering if that internal turmoil was of rage or of something less lethal.

The True God looked towards Misla, and then seemed to realize that Sairaorg's Peerage and it's King were in the room, like a lord of the house realizing that there was a fly buzzing around a candle.

There was an odd 'whap, whap, whap' sound coming from the True God's direction, but Sairaorg ignored it. Not to mention that the True God was resting his head on his hands, so Sairaorg's first guess as to the nature of the sound was proven false before he could even contemplate the possibility.

Sairaorg realized that his moment had come and he was wasting time thinking about useless things.

"Ahem. I was led to believe that my lord seeks blonde, well-endowed women." Sairaorg had practiced the speech with his Peerage and Kuisha after the breakfast, taking in what they had learned from Yuuto and Lady Phenix.

Kuisha struck a tempting pose in response while smiling seductively, albeit it couldn't quite hide her pale face nor the fact her pupils were dilated and the woman was clearly terrified.

"I have come to, in addition to offering my House under your rule and protection, to seek the resurrection of my mother, as you know. I wish to trade my Queen in exchange for this boon. She is someone precious to me, and I offer her freely." Sairaorg resisted the urge to bite his tongue or curl his hands into fists and rampage as he spoke words which made him feel like a worthless, slimy back-stabber, or in other words, made him feel as if he was Diodora.

He could practically see the snake-like Young Devil staring at Sairaorg while smirking in his outwardly good-natured yet condescending way.

Sairaorg blinked and realized that Diodora was both present and currently smirking at Sairaorg. "Yohoo, Sairaorg-san. I was just about done taking a bath with my Peerage, and happened to run across Xenovia-sama. It turned out she needed some help with moving a body, and I enlisted my Peerage to help get your mother here."

"I see… Thank you, Diodora-san." Sairaorg felt internal rage while he kept his tone to strict professionalism, as the fact Diodora of all devils was present to see Sairaorg's humiliation made it so much worse.

He then turned back towards the True God as he realized he had allowed himself to become distracted, cursing under his breath and feeling shock and fear course through his spine-

"I see… Thank you, but I have enough-" The True God glanced at Kuisha who almost passed out from the flat, cold and terrifying stare alone.

"My lord… You've never had someone like me. I am strong, I am a warrior of an ancient Devil family. My might will serve you well, and my body will serve you even better…" Kuisha interjected before the True God could finish his sentence, and she bowed forwards in a way that caused her breasts to jiggle and she struck another pose instantly afterwards. "Try me, will you? My body is quite nice and firm, and my breasts and butt…"

Sairaorg realized that Kuisha had seen that Sairaorg had locked up and had taken initiative, and the fact Kuisha had chosen such submissive words meant that she also knew that she needed to pique the True God's interest herself.

Yet, at the same time, Sairaorg knew that Kuisha was not a woman to whom such words came easily, and he was well aware just how badly her pride was wounded by having to pretend to be a courtesan to an unknown and maleficent entity.

And she did that anyway, for the sake of Sairaorg's mother- No, for Sairaorg's sake.

Sairaorg felt like absolute scum for ordering her to do that.

"Thank you for the offer, but I really don't need you." True God sighed while his mind was still clearly in something else, causing Kuisha's motions to slow down while Sairaorg's mind slowed to a standstill.

"My lord! Surely you'd-" Kuisha stammered, but the True God lifted his hand to stall her and stood up from behind his desk.

"I have enough of- eh?" The True God seemed to stumble a bit and looked down.

Sairaorg stared at the sight.

Kuisha was stuck motionless, and then she fell forward on her face, completely out cold.

Diodora's smirk had widened to a massive grin and he was actively trying his hardest not to laugh as he looked at Sairaorg's expression.

Xenovia nodded appreciatively.

There was a choking sound from behind Sairaorg, which he guessed was his Peerage as well as the trio of skimpy nuns they had encountered at the entrance of the church.

The True God had looked down to see that he was naked below the waist, and there was a relatively short woman stuck to his nether regions by her nether regions like a fish dangling off a hook, now visible as the True God had stood up to his impressive height and dragged the woman on the desk with the meat that connected the two.

"HoooOo! Thatt hiits the spoooot!" Serafall Leviathan sighed dreamily while hopping her hips against the True God's, and Sairaorg could see that a massive sausage was connecting the two.

Sairaorg suddenly realized what had caused the 'whap, whap, whap' sounds he had heard before.

"Oh hi, gang!" Serafall seemed to become aware of the other occupants of the room and waved a bit. Although the fact her face contorted to an ahegao roughly five seconds later didn't help the mental stability of anyone else in the room. Specifically when she pulled a double 'victory' sign with her hands towards them while having a silly expression. "Hiieeeeeeaahh- Those libidibibi boosters… strong stufffff…. huuuuooo… fill mee uuuppp… c-cummiingggg!"

"Umu." The True God looked quite resigned as he stared down at the Maou who was grinding her hips against his as if she was a rutting bunny, or a particularly lively cock-sleeve. "In any case, I thank you for your offer, Sairaorg-san. I will accept the pledge of your house, but I'd like something else in exchange for resurrecting your mother. Ahem. But you'll have to accept my apologies for cutting this meeting short, as it seems that I have something I need to attend to before we move on to the issue of your mother's state."

'...What kind of pervert is he if he can stay calm even through… that? Then again, he's the True God of fertility and such, so it's only to be expected…' Sairaorg could only nod numbly as he realized that with Kuisha's unconscious state, his own freezing-up, and failed negotiations, he was effectively out of options. "May… May I take my mother with me?"

"Of course. But she can stay in the infirmary- Um, Xenovia-san? I'll call for you later, so can you take care of the things…" The True God was blushing quite hard while shooing everyone off.

Sairaorg bowed to lug Kuisha to his shoulder, and then turned to push the stretcher with his mother out of the room, all the while ignoring Diodora's snickering.

'To use a Maou as a love-toy during a negotiation like this… What a terrifying entity… ' Sairaorg felt true fear, and felt an incredible amount of apprehension as to what his house's fate would be. And what the fate of his mother would be.

.

.

'Well, I don't have [Emotion Suppression] anymore, but after all I've gone through… Well, I don't think I need it anymore to stay calm under surprising and stressful situations…' Momonga sighed while sitting down. "Serafall-san."

"Ehe." Serafall smirked victoriously while lowering her hips in synch with Momonga so the two never slid apart. "Didja think you could get away from me that easily, eh?".

"No, I suppose that was a bit of a foolish expectation." Momonga felt resigned but at the same time, he had more or less brought it upon himself.

The fact the casual conversation was happening while Serafall was grinding her hips against his probably didn't help things, nor that Serafall was practically steaming while the meat bulged her stomach with each thrust.

'Wait, steaming…' Momonga realized something crucial. "Serafall-san. You're steaming. You mentioned something about concentrating… um… stuff…"

"Yeah that's the stuff… the good stuff…" Serafall panted. "I'll try to bottle it up, but… heee… it's kinda hard… like this diiiiick…. hehehhe…. So-tan's been naughtyy… keeping this from mee…."

'Right, she's officially offline mentally.' Momonga noted while having his hands on Serafall's waist and slamming the woman against his hips in a way that drove the rod so deep in her that he was fairly sure the tip was pushing the roof of her womb into her internal organs in a way that would likely be very painful under normal circumstances, but with a literal quarter ton of tantric energy boosters, Serafall was likely feeling pleasure from just about any stimuli. 'It's a good thing she's really durable…'

Momonga flicked one of Serafall's nipples with his fingers, causing the woman to spasm out and cum a literal rainbow of her juices. '...How exactly did she add the colors? no, nevermind, I don't want to know… Visual effects, something something [Power of Imagination]... I should not overthink things, that way lies madness…'

"Come to think of it, should I invite Sona over?" Momonga wondered aloud. 'She could probably control Serafall if she goes overboard…'

"Noooo! That's super underhanded… Corrupting an innocent magical girl by holding her sister hostaaaaggeeeeee!" Serafall bent her back into a bow while stroking her stomach, or rather, the massive bulge on it. "Nooo~"

Momonga flopped her over on the desk, trying not to think about what had happened just now, and went about his thrusting.

.

.

Roughly half an hour later, Momonga managed to sneak off while chucking Serafall through [Gate] like a half-full bottle of cream that spilled an arch of the white stuff as she sailed through the air, until finally disappearing into the swirling vortex of energy that lead to Momonga's bathroom in Phenix quarters, specifically the bathtub.

'...Right, let's just forget about this, and never mention it again.' Momonga undid a yellow officer's uniform complete with a chain and cap, which he had used when Serafall had roleplay-asked him to 'don his evil mastermind gear' while thrusting into her from behind.

Momonga wasn't sure what to think about the fact the woman had pulled a small magical-girl show complete with a transformation sequence, before she had been promptly bent over and mating-pressed into compliance alongside a series of facial emotes that caused Momonga to be quite worried for Serafall's emotional, and more importantly, mental state, specifically when she had spouted something about 'instant loss'.

Not to mention when she had done some leviathan-water-magic craft to effectively pump Momonga's host body's white stuff through her so that when he came in her again, she vomited a jet of white stuff from her mouth while screaming something about 'Se-tan being corrupted all the way through'.

'...I think my mind is about to give…'

"It isn't easy for me either, pal." Ddraig whined, and Momonga remembered that the dragon was somewhat of a fan of Serafall and it might be a bit… hard… for the dragon to see his idol get boned by Momonga in such a manner.

Momonga needed something to focus on, so he sent Sona a [Message] to see her sister and help her sweat the concentrated tantric energy boosters, and occupy Serafall until Momonga returned. 'It feels a bit underhanded to just toss the whole aftercare stuff to Sona, but I'm not in a state where I can think about that…'

Instead he waddled out after re-creating a simple suit for himself, akin to what Sirzechs had worn except violet to suit the church's color scheme, and moved towards the infirmary. 'I think I sent Misla Bael back to the infirmary, so… I should probably check up on her and see if I can actually heal or revive her…'

'Ah, and I should also detail the sum of money I expect in exchange for resurrecting Misla… Sairaorg-san is probably still here somewhere…' Momonga schemed. 'Hm, or perhaps I should detail a trade deal instead? What does Bael House produce? I could try to settle for an industrial co-operation deal with sixty- no, eighty percent cut for me…'

.

.

.

Yasaka of Shinto kept sneezing. 'I wonder if I'm allergic to pollen in the Underworld? That would be inconvenient, but that won't matter now… Moreover I feel as if I'm walking on the wrong path, somehow.'

She thought about her attempts to seduce Momon, and shook her head as she had something she needed to do before she could get back to trying to use her feminine wiles to get into Momon's good graces. 'Kyoto's ley-lines are about to unravel, and I need to move my people over… Hrg, I can't afford to go for a silk-glove approach…'

She lifted her hand up, and channeled her power into a massive teleportation portal. "My people! Come to me!"

A march of hundreds, followed by thousands of Youkai had begun, and the demons of Japan fled their ancestral birthplace into the Underworld.

The avalanche of myriad of forms flooded into a somewhat remote piece of Phenix territory- Yasala had snuck into a study of sorts in Phenix castle-estate, ignoring the fact that the study looked outright sinister and oozed dark energy that sent Yasaka's hairs and tails on ends, and found a map of Phenix territories as well as their usage charts detailing which territories had the least use.

There was a convenient clearing which looked like it had once been a forest, but had been shelled into a clearing, and Yasaka had picked it as a gateway spot through which she could transport the Kyoto portion of Shinto faction. 'I'll have to establish some sort of semi-permanent teleporter to get the rest of my people out, as only twenty percent or so of Shinto lived in Kyoto… Still, while the rupturing of the ley lines will eventually cascade to ruin some other ancestral places, Kyoto is in greatest risk right now…'

Yasaka bit her lip in nervousness as she knew that there would be repercussions for her bringing her people over to Momon's land, no Momon's world without a permission. 'I can only hope that Momon is in a forgiving mood and won't see this as an attempt to invade…'

.

.

Sairaorg was feeling quite complicated.

He was holding his mother's hand, despite knowing that she couldn't hear or feel him. 'Sleeping sickness is terminal… She'll eventually wither away and die, if True God doesn't heal her…'

Sairaorg glanced at another bed which housed still-unconscious Kuisha, and felt something akin to annoyance for the briefest moment before it was crushed under a wave of guilt and fear. 'She passed out when the True God brought out Serafall… There might have still been a chance to convince him to take Kuisha in exchange for reviving mother, but…'

The Young Lord Bael sighed hard. 'The True God said he didn't want Kuisha, he wanted something else… In other words, someone else… Kuisha, I'm so sorry… I didn't want to think about it, so the worst-case scenario took me by surprise…'

'...In other words, I must present Seekvaira to the True God in exchange for resurrecting my mother…' He hardened his heart to do what was needed of him. '...Indeed. Yuuto-san said that he desired what others held dearest in their heart… I should have been honest from the start. Not to mention that Kuisha must have taken me offering her as me saying that I loved her as a woman, instead of me loving her as if she was my sister…'

'Indeed, nothing passes the True God's sight…' Sairaorg was feeling quite scared of leaving his mother in the Church of the True God, as there was a possibility that Momon would take advantage of her while she was in his mercy. 'At the same time, I can't just lug her with me… Seekvaira will resist me, unless I try to talk her into being alone with me and I'll take her out with a sneak attack… But that is a depth I will not fall into. I still have my pride as a warrior, as tarnished as it might be…'

The thought caused him much pain- The thought of having to kidnap someone who Sairaorg had slowly started to develop feelings towards in order to deliver that someone to a truly despicable creature, and have that special someone be turned into something that was little more than a breeding sow. 'Seekvaira does not deserve that fate… She may be cold and distant, but I know that inside she is honorable and even a bit naive… That kind of fate… It would break her… And the True God knows it…'

Sairaorg bit his lip until it drew blood. 'But if I don't bring Seekvaira to him… Mother will die. Mother has taken care of me, she is someone who always believed in me… Would she approve of what I'm doing? What I am going to do for her sake? That I'm sacrificing the future, Seekvaira, for the past, mother….'

Sairaorg felt like scum as he stood up and looked at unconscious Kuisha. '...I don't know how long Mother has, and how long the True God is willing to wait… He must have known that Seekvaira was the one I should have offered, and by offering Kuisha… It was effectively an insult, an attempt to mislead and scam Him. That conflicted emotion I saw behind his mask, I wonder… Was it rage, or disappointment in me…'

He contemplated bringing Kuisha with him, but ultimately decided against it. 'I need to move fast, I can't afford to wait for her to wake up, nor try to carry her with us… Kuisha, please forgive me.'

Sairaorg made a notepad with [Power of Imagination] and wrote a message to Kuisha, before nodding to the rest of his Peerage. "Kuisha will stay here. Let's go."

"Where are we going, my King?" Coriana asked, clearly still shocked and cowed by the True God's vulgar show of superiority and power- That of using a Maou as his personal cock-sleeve in front of so many witnesses without so much as batting an eyelid.

"I… I need to right my wrongs, before the consequences of me attempting to subvert the True God's expectations catch up to me and cost my mother her life. And potentially our lives as well." Sairaorg was feeling shaky- On one hand the True God had accepted the loyalty of Sairaorg's house, but at the same time, it had been followed by Sairaorg attempting to deceive his new lord in his next sentence. 'To pledge loyalty with one sentence, and then betray trust with the next… I am truly scum… I always believed myself to be a righteous one, one who works hard for everything he has, faces everyone with back straight and head unclouded… Yet, in the end, I am a devil. A treacherous, cowardly creature… I see. I suppose this is the despair my enemies and opponents in the Rating Game feel when I crush their spirit with my strength…'

Sairaorg moved over to Kuisha to place the note to the infirmary bed's night-stand.

'… As I set forth to kidnap the woman I love… To deliver her to a life of torment, compared to which a death would be a better alternative ...In my attempt to not become a despicable devil like Diodora, I have become him in all but name.'

And out of impulse Sairaorg leaned forward and placed a kiss on Kuisha's temple.

'...Be well, my Queen… Forgive me, for what I have become…'

Sairaorg materialized his wings, and flew out of the opened window with the rest of his Peerage in tow.

.

.

Roughly twenty seconds later the door to the infirmary opened.

"Sairaorg-kun? Are you here? I came to talk to you about making a trade deal in exchange for reviving your mother- eh…" Momonga walked into the room to see it was empty of conscious people. 'Oh well. I'll find him eventually… Now, I wonder what's up with this Sleeping Sickness…'
