Zagred's defeat

"Right here, right now...", a young man of a short stature with an exceptionally muscular build said.

"I'll surpass my limits!", the young man continued while shouting out loud for the devil in front of him to hear. His right arm is covered in what seems to a black substance, and from his shoulder sprouts a black wing.

The sword that the teenager was holding was a black sword, which was thick. Red lightning starts appearing as he slashes towards the devil. The devil seems surprised, as he clearly didn't expect it. Seems like he underestimated them. He tried opening his mouth trying to whisper something, but he didn't even have the chance.

"Aaaaah!", the tall humanoid devil screamed in agony as the sword that the teenager was holding cut him in half. The devil's eyes turned bloodshot as his body fell due to the fact that he was flying.

"Impossible..."

"Impossible..."

"Impossible..."

"This can't be... Impossible..."

"Inconceivable... I..."

The devil then couldn't see anything... He only felt that if he were to not underestimate his opponents, then maybe he wouldn't have been cut by that middle aged man's slash, which he barely resisted, and then the short young man came and slashed him as well. It was truly not within his expectations.

[A/N: For those who don't know, this scene is from Black Clover. I truly felt that Zagred was an amazing character. I don't know if what I'm doing is a fan fiction, but if it is, then please be kind enough to tell me so.]

The devil named Zagred waited for his death, as he has been thoroughly defeated. Had he not underestimated his opponents, he would have won.

'Yes... It's only because of that... If I did not underestimate my opponents, I would've been able to kill them...', Zagred thought.

"Hey there, chief...", a devil with spiky hair said while snickering. The others from the outside world could not hear what he was saying to Zagred. The devil had a mocking expression, which could be seen from his eyes.

Zagred gasped when he saw the other devil. He was frightened by him. The power that the devil in front of him was enormous. He couldn't help but ask in a frightened tone, "Who..."

"Who are you?", Zagred continued.

"Who..."

From Zagred's eyes you could see that he was frightened, so much that he was almost shaking. He felt like the devil in front of him was responsible for everything that happened.

The other devil snickered yet again and he said mockingly, "Like you need to know that."

"It doesn't matter how strong or amazing you are. You've lost and you're about to disappear."

"See ya, loser.", the devil having said this sentence, something happened. Zagred's body started disintegrating.

"Arghhhhhhh..." Zagred then again screamed in agony but this time it was a scream that mostly came from him being frightened. He didn't want to die. He wanted to live.

"We won...", a teenager with blonde hair said, happy that they won.

"The devil's magic disappeared? They defeated the devil?", a young lady said in surprise.

"Looks like someone else finished him off before I could, but...", the middle-aged man who first slashed the devil was a little bit sad. But he was also genuinely happy that they've defeated the devil.

After a while, a white-haired young adult seemed to have noticed that Zagred's magic did not fully disappear and that the Shadow Palace that they were currently in will crumble. They need to hurry up and get out of the Shadow Palace.

Meanwhile... Zagred's soul is somewhere else...

Instead of disappearing like he thought he would, he was standing in front of a figure. He could see that the entity before him was a devil as well. His pointy teeth and black horns were proof of that. It was not the devil that he had chatted with before. He could see from his gaze that the entity before him seemed impatient.

Zagred felt that he forgot about something... Something important... Then suddenly, he knelt in front of the entity before him and said, "This lowly one thanks Your Majesty for saving my puny life!"

The devil seemed to not pay attention to how respectful Zagred was, and he still stood there in silence, waiting for Zagred to speak again. Then, Zagred decided to speak again after seeing that the devil was not saying anything, "May I ask Your Majesty why Your Esteemed Self saved my life?"

The devil then smiled, and then Zagred felt that he wasn't there anymore. No... he was in a different place... A place surrounded by darkness. Then, countless planets and stars could be seen. Seems like he was in space.

He tried speaking, "May I ask Your Majesty why I am here?". Zagred, surprised that no words came out, stood there in silence for what seems to be one day. Aimlessly roaming the universe out of boredom.

After a while, he realized that his vision had become godlike. He could see things from across the universe like it was in front of him. This is how godly his vision became. He also realized that if he tries to touch something, he won't feel anything. Thus, if he tried to pass through a star, he thinks that he will most likely not die. But he won't dare to try.

After another one hour, he could see that something weird is happening in the universe. He could sense that something, or rather someone, is trying to enter this universe. Interested in what's going to happen, he waited for another hour before finally realizing what's happening...

'Two entities are trying to enter this universe...', Zagred thought.

The two entities were immense. One was a tall humanoid figure whereas the other figure seemed to be the devil that sent Zagred here.

The two entities were so immense that simply their head could span over ten galaxy clusters.
