15 Capture the Mjolnir

50 miles west of a small town in New Mexico, 3 people lay hidden, observing what appears to government base. Barbed fences have been placed in a wide diameter and temporary walls have been placed that are constantly being monitored by guards with guns.

It was currently raining heavily and the ground was filled with wet mud. Clouds filled the sky and the occasional flash of thunder flashed by. The only source of lighting was the moon, the street lights placed down by the government and the patrol cars driving back and fourth.

Thea was leaning against a tree as both Thor and Jane were led on the ground covered by a bush. Both of them were analysing the 'base' and looking for an easy way to enter when Thor suddenly took of his jacket and handed it to Jane.

"You're going to need this." he said and she looked at him with a questioning look. "You should stay here, once I have Mjolnir I will return the things they stole from you. Deal?" He asked with a smile.

"No" was her reply. "You think you're just going to walk in there, grab our stuff and then walts out like you own the place?" She asked and Thor just laughed.

"Of course not" He said as he stood up and looked at Jane over his shoulder. "I'm gonna fly out" he said before he took off running.

Thea just waved at Jane with a smile before proceeding to follow him. Both of them walked up to the barb wire fence and Thor was considering what to do but Thea just grabbed the fence and ripped it in two before walking through.

Jane looked beyond shocked as her mouth was catching the rain, and Thor looked suprised before he giggled like a child and proceeding to follow.

"She is mighty." He said with a bright smile.

After Thea had walked through the fence she turned to look at Thor. "We can do this one of two ways. Number one: We sneak through and then sneak out. Or number two: My personal favourite, kick everyones ass, storm through, capture the hammer and then leave after we give them a massive fuck you. Your choice?"

Thor seemed to think for a second before he showed a toothy grin and declared "Let us battle!" Causing Thea to show a grin of her own and laugh. "Lets kick their ass." She said and Thor also began laughing. He started running towards the closest person and was about to punch him when he heard:

"Try not to get tasered this time zappy" causing him to slip on the mud... and head butt the man in between his legs. Thea dropped to her knees laughing and Thor stood up with a frown. The noise attracted the attention of several people in the base and an alarm was sounded.

Thea finally managed to stop laughing after hearing the alarm and turned to thor. "Are you bullet proof zappy?" She asked and Thor looked annoyed at his new nickname.

"Don't call me that, I am Thor son of Odin, God of thunder... but what is this bullet you speak off?" He asked with confusion and Thea just decided it was not worth the risk.

"Nevermind, if you see someone pointing something at you, hide behind something or move out of the way. It is not worth risking." She said and Thor showed a grin. "I shall heed your advice, my mighty friend." Before running of and superman punching someone in the face.

Thea just shook her head with a small smile on her face. "Yare Yare, first a devil, then a demigod and now a God. Seems I am excellent at making friends with interesting people." She said before sidestepping as someone tried to tackle her to the floor.

"How rude, trying to mollest a little lost lady." She said whilst covering her chest with a look of disgust and the man looked confused before he got mad. You're tresspassing in S.H.I.E.L.D property, surrender or face the consequences." He said and pulled out a pistol, and a red dot appeared on Thea's forehead.

Thea's eyes narrowed as she placed her left hand near the zip of her leather jacket and slowly reached into her inside pocket with her right hand.

"FREEZE, DO NOT MOVE" The man screamed and others began to point their weapons towards her as well but she still continued to reach into her pocket before, in rapid succession, she pulled out... A lollipop and stuffed it into her mouth.

"NoPe." She said whilst pulling the lollipop from her mouth and grinning.

"Apprehend her! She's just one woman" one of the said, so the 5 of them rushed at her with their guns holstered and the other three kept their weapons on her. As soon as one of the men was close to her, he reached out to grab her but Thea just side stepped and kicked his foot. The man fell forward and Thea then ducked under a punch and elbowed the man behind her in the stomach with enough force to knock him out.

She grabbed the man, before he fell, and threw him into two of the men with guns, knocking the wind out of them and the guns onto the floor. The man she had previously knocked down now stood back up so there was still 4 surrounding her and one with a gun pointed at her.

Said man, seeing his comrades being taken out, decided to try and neutralise her and aimed his gun at her leg before pulling the trigger... Or he was about to, but Thea saw this and pulled out the now finsihed lollipop in her mouth before surrounding the leftover stick in lightning and thowing it with pinpoint accuracy into the barrel of the gun.

She did this with her left hand, meanwhile her right hand was accurately pressing the accupoints of a man standing in front of her causing him to began twitching rapidly before he dropped to the floor.

2 down, 3 to go.

Next she kicked the floor using a bit of her strength causing several rocks to bounce in front of her. She was just about to kick said rocks at the 3 in front of her when she sensed something causing her to change targets.

She surrouded one of the rocks in an electromagnetic field before kicking it in the direction of a watch tower in the centre of the base. On the way to the watch tower, the rock also broke through an arrow that was previously heading towards her, before destroying the top half of the watch tower. Just before the watch tower was destroyed, she saw a man zip line out of there causing her to chuckle.

She turned her attention back towards the three in front of her, only to find them staring at her with both fear and caution which she found understandable. Seeing as the had no more will to fight, she just sighed before flicking 3 lightning bolts at them, knocking them out.

"How boring" She muttered before placing her hands behind her head and taking a casual stroll through a military base. She didn't bother knocking... she just walked straight through the wall with her hands still behind her head and the first thing she saw was Thor get knocked down by a huge 7 foot tall man causing her to laugh.

"Sup Thor, How's the weather down there?" She asked with a smile and Thor just chuckled before looking at the man who greeted him with a smile. "Your big... I fought bigger" He said before punching the man in the nose.

The man took the punch like a man and threw his own punch at Thor before punching him in the stomach and rugby tackling him through the wall and into the mud.

Thea just watched with amusment before looking up to see the man previously on the watchtower aiming his bow at her, standing on a platform, hung by a crane. She just chuckled and shook her head before placing her hand in her jean pockets and walking towards Mjolnir.

Upon getting closer, she narrowed her eyes as Mjolnir began to flash with blue lightning causing the man on the tower to halt his actions and stare with wonder. The closer she got, the more the storm intensified and the louder the sound of thunder boomed. The man stared with curiosity at what she was going to do next, only to watch her throw her head back, lean forward and scream:

"BAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKAAAAAA!! Stupid Mjolnir, You don't even have a good name, how pitiful. HAHAHAHAHA" She suddenly began to laugh mockingly at the hammer and the man stared incredulously at the fact that a woman was mocking a hammer. What nearly caused him to fall off his platform, was the fact that a lighting bolt dropped from the sky and landed on Thea.

He could However, still hear the sound of Thea's laughter and then saw a perfectly fine Thea. Thea was still laughing at the hammer, almost as if she didn't notice 300,000,000 volts of electricity running through her.

"Oh my? Are you mad cause I was telling the truth? Lazy ass hammer who does nothing but sit around all day waiting for his owner. You're like a pet..... A cat... A PUSSY"

The more she spoke the more the wind blew and the heavier it rained. After her last insult, the hammer did something that surprised the man watching. It began to float.

The hammer rose a few inches off the ground and Thea watched with a teasing grin. "Oh my, are you finally going to do something with your meanigless existence?" Thea said and the hammer answered by flying towards her surrounded in lightning.

Meanwhile, Thor had just finsihed fighting and was covered head to toe in mud. He was excited to finally re-unite with his hammer and ripped open the wall... only to see Mjolnir, surounded in lightning, heading towards Thea who was smiling with a pure black scaled fist cocked back.

"WH- Mjolnir?" *Boom*

A shockwave spread out, destroying a 10M radius as Thea's fist collided with Mjolnir. Thor was sent tumbling back and a crater was crated. When the dust cleared you could see Thea's fist steady as a rock, still connected to a trembling Mjolnir. Lightning began to flash around Mjolnir and it travelled along her arm before flashing around her body. However, her smile only widened.

"My, is that all you can do?" She questioned as she opened her fist and grabbed Mjolnir. Mjolnir began trembling even more and lightning began to flash in the sky before it began dropping on Thea at several intervals but she didn't flinch. In fact her physique absorbed the lightning, filling her with energy.

"MJOLNIR STOP" Thor had finally managed to regain his bearings and shouted towards his hammer. He was shocked at what he was witnessing, his new friend and his partner are fighting and his partner is losing.

Mjolnir, as if listening to Thor, stopped struggling but Thea did not let go so Mjolnir just rested in her grip. She could tell that if she let go, she would not be able to pick the hammer back up so she just held it by the head with nothing but raw power.

"Wh- You... are worthy?" Thor asked in shock.

"If you mean worthy of wielding the hammer, then no. I tried before and I couldn't lift it. The only reason I can now is because it basically flew into my hand and I am using my strength to keep it up. I can tell if I let go, I won't be able to lift it back up. Cause it's a baka hammer" Thea explained and Thor nodded whilst Mjolnir trembled in defiance.

"I see... You truly are mighty" He said with a laugh. "Now, please hand it over"

Thea raised an eyebrow at this before nodding and pointing the handle at him but still not letting go. Thor reached for the handle with both hands and pulled, intending to lift the hammer but Thea did not let go, nor did the hammer move, causing him to look at Thea confused.

"Are you not letting go?"

"I ain't preventing you from taking it, Thor. I am just holding it, if I let go it will drop to the floor. The second you take the weight, I will let go." Thea explained.

Thor nodded at Thea before he reached forward once more and placed both hands on the handle. He took in a deep breath before he began to pull. His muscles bulged and his face showed strain.... but Thea clearly felt that the hammer was not moving.

Thor continued to pull with everything he had and his face showed more desperation as the seconds passed, but eventually he let go. He stumbled back a few steps and then looked down at his now trembling hands. Then he looked towards his lifelong partner... and then to Thea before he stared at the storm raging above... before he sceamed.

All his frustration were heard in his voice as he screamed at the clouds above. The frustration of a man who had lost something precious... and yet could do nothing. Eventually, he dropped to his knees and just stared at the ground below him. Seemingly thinking but Thea did not know what to do.

Though their situations were different, she too had lost something precious but unlike the currently powerless Thor, she channeled her loss into rage.

After a few seconds she just dropped to one knee beside him and pulled him into a side hug. Thor did not react nor did she expect him to.

They both just knelt there, soaked in the rain until eventually after a minute or two, the sound of footsteps was heard and several men surrounded the two of them and a man in a suit with glasses walked in front of them without saying a word.
