3 years and a familiar feeling

It's now May 29th 2011. 3 years have passed and my 16th birthday was celebrated 5 months ago. It was pretty amazing to say the least. Tony found out about my birthday and threw a huge party so that was extremely fun. It actaully lasted 3 days instead of the 1.

Loads of people were invited and I invited Lucifer and Maze but unfortunetely they were both busy and could not attend.

In the past 3 years I have changed a lot. I grew to around 5"8, I kept my hair thigh length and have matured a lot. My breasts grew to around C-cup and my body became more shapely. The thing that changed more than anything though, was my personality.

I found that the older I get, the less I care about the things around me. Obviously I still care about my friends and .... family, but I more or less don't care about the rest of the world. I woudn't watch it burn, but I ain't going to go out of my way to save someone from being robbed or anything 'heroic' like that.

Nova has also changed quite a lot. Over the years she became more outgoing and free. She no longer acts like a stiff maid, but treats me more like a friend than a master.

A lot of interesting things happened over these 3 years. Like Tony. In 2009, Tony was kidnapped after a demonstration of his weapons to the U.S government. He escaped 3 months later and the second he returned he suddenly withdrew from the weapons business, shocking the entire country.

After he returned, I went and paid him a visit to see how he was and found him in the basement of his mansion. When I went in, I was shocked to find a mini arc reactor attached to his chest.

*Flashback*

"Yo Ton..y?.... What is that?" I said. The first thing I saw after entering the basement was blueprints scattered everywhere and then a glowing circle through his shirt.

"Hmm? Oh Thea. It's a minature arc reactor I created along with another in Afghanistan." He said idly whilst still scanning through blueprints.

"WHAT! How the fuck did you make a mini arc reactor whilst kidnapped in just 3 months."

"With the help of another. I didn't have a choice, but I just took my fathers blueprints and compressed the core. Obviously it was a lot more complicated than that with all the necessary calculations, but I did it in the end and it's thanks to this I could escape."

"Well what did you replace palladium with?" I asked excitedly. This was groundbreaking and I couldnt help but bounce on the spot since so many technological advancements just opened up.

"I didn't" He said.

"Huh?"

"I didn't replace the Palladium. There is no need, it works perfectly fine. This little core can keep my heart beating for around 50 lifetimes."

"ARE YOU AN IDIOT? I told you before that Palladium is radioactive. It will kill you, poison you from the inside. One of the 7 isotopes is unstable, it will destroy you if it reacts."

"It won't. I spent a month running countless calculations. It's stable."

"Whatever. What you doing now?" I asked before picking up one of the blueprints and reading through it.

After seeing what was drawn, I was shocked.

A suit, Powered by an arc reactor.

"What is this?" I asked, amazed.

"A design for a super powered suit. It was something I made to escape but it was incomplete and something we made from a pile of scraps. Now that I am back, I want to make a comlete version." He explained.

He began to fiddle with a bunch of titanium steel alloy before recallibating his drawings.

"Can I help?"

"Have a look at these" He said before a hologram with a design and a bunch of calculations appeared before me. Afterwards we began to design suit after suit. I began to study mechanical engineering, hoping to learn and Tony helped by tutoring me. After a 2 weeks of constant trail and error, the first suit was built.

It was pure silver and was 6 foot tall. It had a hole in the centre of its chest were the arc reactor was and it glowed blue. It run smoothly and can release energy blasts from the hands, feet and the chest. We also installed jarvis into the suit so he can more or less control the suit with just voice commands.

After he took the suit out for a test drive he said everything worked out perfectly but he still wants to try and improve it since the suit freezes the higher it goes. So we began designing new ideas and trying new materials.

*Flashback ends*

Yeah... he went through some pretty crazy stuff after that. His friend Obsidiah Stone built his own suit and tried to kill him to take over his company but Tony fought back with his own suit that was a lot better. He eventually won and then revealed to the world that he was the 'iron man' and the world was in an uproar.

Just recently he opened up Stark expo after nearly having his armour taken by the government. It was pretty hilarious to watch.

Naturally, I did not stay in New york the enitre 3 years. I visited several places like: Japan, China, England, the Bahamas, and france. I also visited several cities like Central City and Gateway city.

Central City was a nice city to react and was in the process of building something called a particle accelerator. I wasn't allowed to see the lab itself but it was still impressive from what I could tell with my X-ray vision. Something I developed over the years.

Gateway City was one of my favourites. It was a beautiful city that was heavily influenced by the greek pantheon. This was a city I most recently visited 2 weeks ago and I honeslty wished I could have stayed longer. There was someone really interesting I met at a museum.

Currenlty, me and Nova are on our way to Tony's mansion since today is his 41st birthday and he's holding a party. I was wearing a knee length, midnight blue dress that has diamonds from the bottom to around the middle. Nova was wearing an ankle length, white dress with an open back.

I should also mention that thanks to this being the USA, I can drive at 16, so I already have my driving licence. The second I finished my lessons, I bought myself a customised Bugatti Divo for $6,500,000. It was a matte black with baby blue highlights. Yeah I fell in love with the car instantly and use it everywhere. Running sometimes gets boring.

3rd person POV*

30 minutes after the party started, at 6:30, anyone who was still outside was immediately attracted to the roar of an engine. Seconds later, an extremely beautiful, black Bugatti came into view and all the men looked on with jealousy. Sure, most of them were rich, but not rich enough to buy something like this. Not all of them were billionairs.

Just as everyone was wondering which second generation heir owned the car, the butterfly doors opened up and out stepped a stunning woman with long brown hair and emerald green eyes, wearing a beautiful blue dress. Most people immediately recognised her, as she had been seen quite a lot in New York over the past few years.

As she walked around the car, she opened up the other door and then held out her hand. Another hand immediately grabbed onto hers and seconds later a cute blonde haired woman in a white dress exited the car. Both of them appeared to be talking and laughing, before they both made their way into the mansion.

After Thea and Nova made their way into the mansion, they came across Tony and his best friend James Rhodes.

"Sup old man, happy Bday" Thea said with a smirk and Tony laughed whilst Nova elbowed Thea in the ribs.

"Wow Thea, you're going to break this old mans heart." Tony said with his hand on his heart, looking hurt and they all laughed before Thea hugged him.

"Happy birthday Tony" She said and handed him a bag with a present inside. "Thanks kid" was his reply before he handed her a glass of champagne causing Rhodes to look at Tony with a slight glare.

"She's just a kid man, she can't drink" He said and both Tony and Thea looked at each other and then at him, before they both burst out laughing.

""HAHAHAHAHAHA""

Nova just shook her head and Rhodes looked confused.

"Loosen up old man, I have been drinking since I was 12. It's not like it will kill me."

"Yeah, she can drink more than anyone I have ever met."

Rhodes looked slightly appalled at those words before he just sighed, shook his head and feigned ignorance. Afterwards they all began to chat and drink. Afterwards Rhodes walked away to do something and Thea walked up to Tony.

"How're you doing?"

"I-I'm fine." He said slurring, obviously drunk.

"You're lying. you're poised right. I can see it. The palladium is killing you." Thea said and Tony just chuckled sadly.

"Well you did say it would right? guess I miscalucated."

"Idiot. Do you even realise what it's doing to your body? Its destroying all your veins and yet you're here having a party, throwing your life away."

"What else am I supposed to do huh? No matter what I do, there is no outcome other than death. I either wallow in self pity or celebrate my life and wanna know what I chose? Both."

After he said that he drank his glass in one go before walking away and Thea just sighed sadly before swirling the drink in her glass.

She also tried to help. She studies Biology before so she knows the effects it has on him. She even contemplated using the op op fruit but all she can do is clear his veins of Palladium temporarily, not fix the damage, and the arc reactor will simply poison him once more. She even offered to remove the shrapnel from his heart but he declined because she coudn't tell him how. It's probably the only time she regrets not having gone medical school.

Afterwards the party continued for a few more hours before something happened. Tony was clearly drunk and walked out wearing his iron man suit. Everyone began cheering for him but Rhodes looked annoyed that he was using a weapon as a party trick so he snuck into the basement and stole the Mark 2 that Thea and Tony worked on together.

Afterwards they both began fighting and destroyed a large part of the mansion as all of the guests, minus Thea and Nova, ran for their lives. Tony was both drunk and poisoned whereas Rhodes was neither so he won after a few minutes of back and fourth punches.

He then took the suit and flew away, probably to report to the government, and Tony just lay there thinking about life. Thea helped him out of the suit before placing him on the bed and using her speed to clean most of the mansion before her and Nora headed back to the mansion they bought in the upper district of New york. Though Nova drove since she only had a little to drink whilst Thea had a lot.

The next morning, Thea and Nova were both eating breakfast and watching the news. Thea was contemplating whether or not she should call home for the first time in four years but realised it was a stupid thought. Her mother never once called her, so why should she bother calling?

After a few minutes, both of them were discussing what to do for the day when suddenly Thea's head snapped in a certain direction, surpirising Nova.

"What's wrong Thea?"

"I don't know. I sense something with a familiar feeling but I cannot make out what."

"What do you mean by familiar?"

"My powers... more specifically lightning, though this one seems more.... I don't know it just feels different than mine."

"Do you want to check it out?"

"Yeah I'm gonna go have a look. I don't know how long I will be, so just have fun alright. If you need me, give me a ring."

"Mmn. Have fun" Nova said with a wave and a smile and Thea just nodded before she became surrouned by light and disappeared. Moments later she was stood in what looked like New Mexico, on the outskirts near a field and in the centre of that field was a complex symbol burned into the grass and a blonde muscular man led in the centre, causing Thea to smile. A storm was raging and winds howling, thunder booming in the sky and yet even over all of that, you could hear the amusment in her voice.

"This is going to be interesting~"
