Maya and Alva

Agil woke up with a ringing in his head. The blurriness in his eyes quickly cleared and he found himself in a small, dimly-lit room.

Suddenly, his eyes trembled in a stupor as he regained clarity over his thoughts.

Inexplicably, there were foreign memories in his head that did not belong to him.

"Spirit of a god...?' He quickly identified the cause.

'The Human and Devil Realm...'

'Cultivation...'

A wave of information rushed through Agil, briefly showing him all of the god's knowledge.

The god had come from the Human Realm and was part of a race called 'Humans.' Apparently, they existed in the same world as devils and the two races have had an ongoing feud. Though to call it a feud was a heavy understatement; they have been trying to wipe each other out since the beginning of time in a never-ending war.

Although Agil reached the age of eighteen, his accumulated knowledge was pretty much the same as a newborn baby's since, having not talked to anyone else nor spent any effort on 'living.'

Finding out about this world he lived in for the first time, Agil delved deeper into the god's memories.

In the Human realm, the strength of humans revolved around cultivation arts. From weakest to strongest, this was divided into nine essence realms through Elementary, True, Earth, Heaven, King, Emperor, Sovereign, Overlord and God.

Devils, on the other hand, are significantly different.

All devils are born with an innate 'devour' talent, which allows them to consume the qi of other lifeforms and convert it into their own, subsequently increasing their vitality and strength.

Instead of the martial arts of humans, devils rely on their superior physiques to battle, becoming stronger with the more devil qi they possess.

Similar to humans, the strength of devils is also separated into nine ranks. From weakest to strongest, they are White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Black, and Gold.

A human's cultivation can be identified by looking at their profound energy, whilst the grade of a devil is displayed through their horns.

Once a devil reaches the White rank, they will grow white horns. These horns will remain for their entire lives and change color in correspondence to rank.

It was Agil's first time finding out about his own race.

Acquiring the foundation of what he needed to know about cultivation, Agil then remembered the god's interesting idea - to cultivate a martial art using a devil's body.

This seemed like a fascinating concept and in fact, many devils have thought of it before. However, with the blood enmity between the two races, there was no way humans were ever going to let devils get their hands on their cultivation arts.

In the Human Realm, there were upwards of hundreds of cultivation arts which have been created over the years, and they were all treated as the most important treasures in their world. Of course, unassailable failsafes were implemented in every single one so they would not fall into the wrong hands.

Unless one was willing to, their cultivation art could never be stolen from another. With their inborn hatred of one another, a human would sooner die than have a devil obtain their cultivation art.

And so, throughout history, nothing of the sort of a devil cultivating martial arts has ever appeared.

Until now.

Agil had somehow stumbled upon all the memories of a human cultivator, and it was not just any human either. He was one who had already reached the peak of their world and ascended as a god. The cultivation arts he knew would undoubtedly be boundless compared to the rest of the world.

Immediately, Agil found an abundance of options to choose from.

'The Flowing Sword Art...'

'Lightning body...'

'Superior Senses...'

'Wicked Soul...'

Sifting through them one by one, Agil was in search of the perfect one.

'Yin and Yang Art'

Absorb qi through dual cultivation, enhance the body, spirit, and soul.

His eyes gleamed.

The Yin and Yang Art sounded perfect for a devil. Combined with the devour talent, their physiques can be further strengthened using it.

Another reason was because of its dual cultivation function.

Apart from killing other lifeforms, devils can also obtain qi from copulation.

Contrary to what most would think, devils are not born with enhanced lust and murderous cravings when compared to humans. Rather, they enjoy having sex and killing more as it brings them power at the same time.

All would say the same thing about the Devil Realm - strength is all that matters.

Using the god's knowledge of the Yin and Yang Art, Agil did not need to deliberate.

He sat in a lotus position, closing his eyes and entering meditation. Following, he controlled his breathing and began channeling the required energy pathways.

Thus, the legend began, where the first devil started his path of cultivation.

Agil had yet to realize his head was wrapped in blood-stained bandages. Nor did he spare a thought for why he was in a room after passing out on the streets.

Immersing himself in cultivation, he began unlocking the first chapters of the yin and yang art.

Immediately, Agil's body underwent a small change. His physique was strengthened by a tiny degree, improving his physical attributes all around.

The yin and yang art contained techniques that would assist the user in dual cultivating.

Apart from the enhancement in physique, it also offers the unique Yin and Yang constitution. The constitution focuses on a woman's five senses of sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch, heightening them in the direction of pleasure.

For now, Agil had yet to unlock this constitution because he would need to absorb a certain amount of qi using the Yin and Yang Art first. With the more yin obtained, his constitution will naturally be further developed.

Though he did not receive any help now, this would not be a big problem for Agil who was already a deadly attraction to women.

Agil was concluding his meditation when a creaking sound entered his ears.

The wooden door was swung open.

"You're awake!"

Agil opened his vision and was met with a pair of enchanting azure eyes.

They belonged to a young girl around the age of twelve wearing rag clothes that were a little undersized, protecting her snow-white skin which was covered in small spots of dirty stain.

Fine raven hair flowed delicately onto her shoulders. They were silky clean as porcelain, unbefitting the rest of her appearance.

She had an exquisite face complimented by two sweet cherry lips.

Agil was left in a blank stare.

The girl walked up to him, her lips moving but the mesmerized Agil could not hear any words coming out.

"Hey..."

"Hey.."

"Hey!"

She waved her hand in his face and Agil finally snapped out of his daze.

"Why are you sitting up? You should be laying down, look at your head!"

Agil slowly brought a hand to his head, and only then realized it was wrapped in bandages. Being smudged in dried blood, he felt a flaky substance on them.

"I'm fine..." Agil did not really feel much pain. The blood had already clotted up and he'd mostly recovered, he didn't know that the Yin and Yang Art had played a role in this.

Agil's first thought was to stand up but the girl stopped him midway.

"Just rest there for now. Don't waste all my efforts of bringing you here! Carrying you on my back was not easy you know!" The girl huffed in a high-pitched voice. Her eyes contained a mix of annoyance and concern as her little chest rose up and down.

"Haha, listen to her for now, will you?" Another silvery voice came into the room and through the door appeared another girl. The two girls had similar facial features and were clearly blood-related. She was a head taller and had a more developed figure than the child in front of him.

"I'm Alva, that is my sister Maya. Her smile was pleasantly warm, seeming to contain the sun's shine. "We saw you passed out on the ground and brought you here. In any case, you should stay until your wound has recovered." Alva explained, she set down a heavy pot in her hands and wiped her sweat-filled forehead afterward.

Agil had one hand planted on the ground and the other raised in defense. He was instinctively on alert but that slowly faded as he realized they were not harboring any ill intentions. It was the first time someone had treated him this way and he stared dazedly at them, at a loss for what to think.

Agil's inner character was not affected by absorbing the god's memories since they did not assimilate into him but were rather more of separate storage he had to access. Thus, he was still the naive boy that knew nothing about the feelings and interactions of others, having been all by himself for his whole life.

Maya nodded her head like a woodpecker, agreeing with her sister's reasoning. She took a glance at what Alva brought in and told Agil, "Stay here for the night! We have enough soup for the three of us to eat so you should consider yourself lucky."

Maya ran over to where Alva was and looked into the pot placed down on the ground. After checking the contents inside the pot, Maya turned back to Agil and revealed a happy smile, "by the way, what's your name?"

The dark room lit up in Agil's eyes and a tiny part of his sheltered heartfelt itself move for the first time. At this moment, all the rage and vengeance seemed to be forgotten.

He breathlessly murmured out, "Agil..."
