64 Chapter 64: Prepare For Kombat

Odin turned to face Loki, his expression filled with disdain. "Loki, what are you doing here?"

Loki chuckled, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Oh, but Odin, whenever there's something interesting happening or a battle to be fought, how could I not be there? For you see," He crossed his arms before him and several knives appeared between his fingers. "my babies have been getting too rusty from waiting. So when I felt that sudden surge of magical power, divinity and demonic power simultaneously appear in this one location....how could I not rush in here?"

"Hm." Odin grunted in response to Loki's words. "I should have known you wouldn't miss an opportunity to stir up trouble."

Loki shrugged nonchalantly. "What can I say? I live for chaos and excitement. And it seems like this little gathering is about to become quite interesting."

Brunhilde, still reeling from Odin's revelation, spoke up. "Well, Loki? You're here and Lord Odin, and as you can see there's nothing that shows what the source of the three energies is."

Loki smirked, his eyes flickering with curiosity. "Indeed, my dear Brunhilde–"

"Don't call me dear, you piece of shit." Brunhilde spat.

Loki twitched but continued, "Ah, yes, yes. The sudden surge of energies seemed to immediately disappear into nothing. If it had simply dispersed into thin air, we could have still noticed the remnant energy particles."

"But there's nothing," Odin interjected with a deep furrow in his brow. "No trace of the energies, no remnants, nothing. It's almost as if they were never here to begin with."

Loki's mischievous grin faded slightly as he pondered the situation. "This is...odd. Such a convergence of power shouldn't just vanish without a trace. There must be something more at play here."

Odin raised an eyebrow, his gaze filled with suspicion. "Are you suggesting foul play, Loki?"

Loki chuckled again, his demeanor returning to its usual devilish charm. "Well, isn't foul play what we all thrive on, brother Odin? But in all seriousness, it wouldn't surprise me if someone or something managed to conceal their presence and erase any traces of their power."

Brunhilde crossed her arms, a frown forming on her face. "Who would have such power and the means to hide it so effectively?"

Loki's eyes sparkled with mischief. "That, my dear Valkyrie, is the question of the hour. And it seems we now have a mystery on our hands. How delightful!"

Odin sighed, a mix of frustration and resignation evident on his face. "Very well, Loki. Since you seem to relish in chaos so much, perhaps you can assist us in uncovering the truth behind this phenomenon." he then subtly glanced at Zenkichi for a brief moment, but the latter noticed it.

'He knows, of course he knows, but why is he helping me out?' Zenkichi furrowed his brows in suspicion.

Loki's smirk widened, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Gladly, oh great Allfather. Let the hunt for answers begin!"

Zenkichi crossed his arms, "Don't we have a match to go to?"

Loki froze. He slumped his shoulders and let out a long sigh, "Haaaaa.... You're right, you're right! The match! Ugh. I really wanna investigate this mystery but the thought of missing out on watching a God slaughtering a mortal or vice versa is just too enticing to pass up. Guess I'll have to put my detective skills on hold for now. Let the bloodshed commence!"

As he declared those words, he started distorting like a wormhole had appeared on his body and gradually disappeared into space.

'Kamui?' Zenkichi flatly stared at where Loki had disappeared into and immediately thought of a familiar technique. Either the God doesn't know about Obito or he's one of the cultured ones.

"...Mortal, what round will you enter as a combatant?" Odin asked, bringing Zenkichi's attention back to the present.

Zenkichi blinked, momentarily taken aback by the abrupt question. "Uh, well... I think I'm entering this round? Right?" He turned towards Brunhilde to ask, who nodded back in response. "So, yeah. I'm fighting in the next round."

Odin nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Hmm. You said that you'll be...whopping our Godly asses?"

Zenkichi's eyes turned determined and he gravely nodded, "Yes, that's what I will do. For I will fight to protect my world and my kind."

"Hahaha." Odin chuckled ominously as he turned around, swaying his long black cloak. He raised his hand and a long wooden stick appeared in his hand and slammed its tip on the ground.

Loud rumbling sounded from above, the skies turned dark and black lightning crackled across the heavens. A low growl emanated from Odin's throat as he spoke, his voice filled with power and authority.

"Very well, you have chosen war with a God."

After he spoke, he disappeared into a flash of black lightning.

Both Zenkichi and Brunhilde stared at the dark smoking spot on the ground.

"...So, what happens now?" Zenkichi asked.

"Now," Brunhilde turned towards him, a solemn expression on her face. "we prepare for combat!"

"Great, great. The biggest fight in my life. No pressure." Zenkichi clenched his hands. "So, who's my Valkyrie?"

"You're staring right at her." Brunhilde crossed her arms, a smirk on her face.

"What?"

...

"What?!"

In a dark tunnel that connected to the giant colosseum, a clearly angered voice reverberated throughout the walls and created cracks.

Standing in the dark tunnel was a tall, muscular man shown to have four arms and five golden eyes that blazed with burning indignation. He has indigo skin and black hair. He wears a golden bandana and baggy golden trousers equipped with a blue sash. Also, he has blue tattoos on his wrists & fingers.

"You've got to be kidding me, are you looking down on me, huh?!" This man, no, God was Shiva. The Chief God or God King of the Hindu Pantheon. The strongest God of Destruction.

And right now, he was pissed, oh he was pissed off than ever before!

"Just because I let Zeus and his cronies go on before me, doesn't mean you can walk all over me as well!" Shiva clenched his four hands, glaring heatedly at the man before him. "Odin!"

Odin just stood there with a straight back and indifferent expression, a long wooden stick in hand. His one eye coldly stared down at the younger god, "This round, is mine. This is not your fight. In exchange, I'll owe you a favor."

A popping vein appeared on Shiva's temple.

'Twice, this is the second time these bastards have pushed me aside!' Shiva seethed inwardly. 'I won't let them get away with it!'

With a growl, Shiva conjured a massive ball of fire in one of his hands, flames flickering dangerously. "You think I'm just going to stand back and let you have your way? I'll show you the power of a true God of Destruction!"

Odin's eye narrowed, a flicker of excitement crossing his features. "Very well, Shiva. Show me what you've got."

As the tension between the two powerful gods reached its peak, the ground beneath them began to shake. The tunnel walls cracked and crumbled under the strain of their clash, and sparks of energy flew through the air.

But the one that was being suppressed was clear.

'How?'

Shiva gritted his teeth, sweat beading on his forehead. He couldn't understand how Odin, a fellow god, could overpower him so easily. They were just emitting their divine aura, to test out the waters, and he found himself on the defensive, struggling to keep up with Odin's own divinity and magical power.

'Is it because they're older? No, no. That's impossible. Odin have existed since the beginning of time so he's truly old but Zeus only appears that way because of that incident many millennia ago that involved the Abrahamic God and the Beast of Apocalypse. So how are they so fucking strong?!'

"What's wrong, Shiva? Is this all you've got?" Odin taunted, a smirk playing on his lips.

More veins started popping and Shiva growled in frustration.

But as it looked as if he was about to lose it and start brawling on Odin, Shiva closed his eyes and immediately calmed down.

He let out a sigh of resignation and leaned against a nearby wall, "Two favors, you owe me that much and our pantheons won't go to war."

"Hm." Odin stared at him and grunted in agreement. He then began walking past him.

"Hey, old man. Tell me, for you to copy that shameless old perverted fart's tactic, you must know this round's human fighter. After all, you see everything with that one eye of yours." He tilted his head. "Just who is he to interest you this much?"

"...He is an anomaly, a very interesting one." That was all the old god said as he started heading down the tunnel.

"Cryptic bastard. Tch."

Shiva clicked his tongue and slammed his fists against the wall, completely breaking all the walls around it apart and causing a cave-in.
