Chapter 116: Kill Emiya Shirou

Drip!

Water splashed across the ground, forming a puddle before it suddenly twisted around. Zenkichi quickly regained his human form and looked up at the sky, a bright light illuminating the sky.

For some reason, as he stared at that bright holy light, a warm feeling enveloped Zenkichi's weary body, providing him with a surge of renewed strength and resolve.

Enhancing his vision using his magical energy, he was surprised to find a familiar figure behind the Lion King and a golden light emanating from his right arm.

"That guy..."

Bedivere panted, cold sweat dripping down his forehead as he stood behind the Lion King, a weary yet determined look on his face as he held his prosthetic iron arm, which shone with an otherworldly golden light that enveloped the Lion King with a power that would eliminate "threats of humanity".

It was a holy light that assured a promised victory.

The beam of holy light was so eye-catching that those who were fighting below stopped and look up in shock and awe, the knights of the round table was especially shocked to see it.

Although it's been a long time, how could they not remember that incredible light?

Bedivere's eyes squinted, exhaustion weighing heavily upon him as he struggled to maintain his stance. Using Airgetlám with its maximum output had severely drain his soul, the magical energy he used around his feet to help him stay in the air fizzled out and he quickly began falling from the sky.

'No... not yet! I still, my king, I...'

Just as he was about to fall onto the wall, a hand reaches out and grasped his neck.

"Ack!"

"... Who are you?" The Lion King demanded, blood dripping from an injury on her forehead, her armor showed numerous cracks and the fur cape she wore

'H-How did she survived that?' Bedivere's eyes widened. He knew the true identity behind his prosthetic arm, the sword of promised victory, Excalibur! A Divine Construct, the pinnacle of holy swords, and the strongest holy sword whose equal is the strongest demonic sword Gram; one of the ultimate God-forged weapons, a Last Phantasm, forged by the Planet as the crystallization of the wishes of mankind stored and tempered within the Planet!

Even if she had fused with Rhongomyniad to become a Divine Spirit, she should at least be severely wounded.

But the presence she exuded remained steady and powerful as ever.

Unbeknownst to Bedivere, fighting Zenkichi, the Lion King had tapped into the vast reservoir of magical energy of Rhongomyniad itself, drawing strength from its divine essence. Her connection to the lance allowed her to endure even the most devastating of attacks and deal great damage to her enemies.

She normally wouldn't have used that much of her power but Zenkichi was like a cockroach, attacks that would instantly kill an average Heroic Spirit seemed to barely slow him down.

"This light, I cannot mistake its brilliance even after many centuries has passed..." The Lion King's eyes narrowed as she gazed at Bedivere, confusion flickering through her eyes. "Just, who are you? That armor you're wearing and the look in your eyes... it tells me that you're someone that has likely been one of my knights."

She coldly stared down at him before unceremoniously dropping him onto the ground.

"It doesn't matter. As my knight, I order you to throw that sword away and return to my side. I am in need of some assistance in dealing with some... pests, I really do not have the time for this. The grand plan to save the truly virtuous of humanity draws near." Her tone was authoritative, expecting immediate compliance.

Bedivere, however, gritted his teeth and struggled to stand, refusing to yield to her command. "I apologize, my king. Though while I yearn to stand by your side once more, I cannot condone the actions that you are making!" He raised his prosthetic arm, magical energy coalescing around it in a brilliant display of golden light. "Also, I am fulfilling the duty that I have sworn to fulfill for the last 1,500 years!"

He lunged at her with a determination that belied his exhaustion. Cracks appeared across his face, blood dripping from his wounds, but his resolve remained unbroken. The clash between Bedivere and the Lion King reverberated through the battlefield, their energies colliding with explosive force.

The Lion King's eyes widened in shock as they clashed.

"You- You're human?"

Boom

"...Well, I appreciate the help." Zenkichi muttered.

"Augh."

He turned his head to see Brunhilde walking up to him, looking a bit winded and injured from taking on some of the attacks of the Lion King. "That bitch really packs a punch, huh?" she said, smirkingly.

"Are you alright?" Zenkichi asked, concern evident in his voice as he looked at Brunhilde's injuries.

She shrugged her shoulders, "I'm fine. Honestly, I'm more hurt that I got easily taken out by a bitch slap. It would've been fine if she at least used more effort..." she grumbled.

"You fell more than fifty feet from the sky."

"Yeah, so? Zenkichi, I'm a Valkyrie. Falling from great heights is practically our thing. It's more of an inconvenience than anything," Brunhilde replied with a smirk.

Zenkichi chuckled softly, relieved to see her resilient spirit shining through despite the situation. "Well, if you say so."

"Hoho. How peculiar,"

"Da Vinci-chan?"

Both Zenkichi and Brunhilde then turned to the side to find Da Vinci, curiously staring at the former.

"To turn yourself into armor and create a symbiotic between the two of you, just what kind of spell is that? I've never seen our Brynhildr doing that." She then turned towards Zenkichi. "And you, I heard it from Fujimaru-chan before. You're a regular human that can get random abilities and items every day after midnight. Can you tell me what kind of ability you got for being able to resist against the Lion King for so long? I just checked, and those beams she shot at you weren't simply burning hot lasers, but also affects reality on a fundamental level. It's like-"

"Uh, shouldn't you be fighting right now?" Zenkichi asked, cutting her off. He was dumbfounded to find her just standing around and asking questions in the midst of battle.

Da Vinci waved her hand, "I'm a caster, I have really low stats on my physical capabilities. I fight in the rear and provide support. So really, I am doing my job perfectly!"

"... I don't see you supporting any of our allies." Brunhilde pointed out; Mash was busy fighting off Mordred while Touta and Sanzang were in a disadvantage fighting against Gawain, Barghast and Baobhan Sith.

"Tsk, tsk. Look again, oh warrior maiden of the Norse."

Da Vinci snapped her fingers, and numerous flying metallic balls appeared. Each ball emitted a soft red glow as they hovered in the air, and red lasers emanated from them, targeting the enemies with precise accuracy.

"These little gadgets of mine are equipped with laser cannons," Da Vinci explained with a grin. "They'll provide covering fire and help weaken our opponents. Now, let's turn the tide of this battle!"

"Aren't you a caster or mage? Why do you have those?!"

"I might be classed as a caster, but I am an inventor by heart! Magic is just another tool in my arsenal." Da Vinci winked.

Zenkichi was about to say something when he notices something, or someone, missing in action.

"Da Vinci, did you noticed the person, before Brunhilde, fall into the ground around here?"

"Hm? You mean Emiya?"

He turned to stare at her. "Wait, you recognize him?"

"Yup! We got an archer back home called who dresses in red called Emiya, and he looked like the one who fell into the ground before, cept the one we have has his hair gelled back." Da Vinci casually pointed out.

"What happened to this Emiya then?" Zenkichi asked, his eyes narrowed as he activated Reading Minds.

Da Vinci paused, pondering for a moment before responding, "Honestly, we were all busy fighting that we didn't check up on him. I tried looking for him myself as well but..." her brows furrowed, dread now crept onto her face. "Wait, is this Emiya capable of-"

"I am, the bone of my sword..."

Suddenly, blue flames engulfed the area, magical energy crackling with power that it caused everyone to once more stop their fighting.

Zenkichi turned his head and saw Shirou Emiya, though blood covered his body, he stood firm and unyielding amidst the flames. The injuries around his body had healed.

His eyes burned with determination as he faced everyone.

"Steel is my body and fire is my blood."

The blue flames intensified, numerous transient swords began to appear protruding from the ground.

"Kill him!" Zenkichi yelled, using Herankyaku but was surprised to see a large sword blocking his way. Dozens of other swords appeared from the sky, the power emanating from them were at least rank B. Without any hesitation, the swords flew down at him, some of it only manages to pierce though his skin, pinning him down.

The others quickly acted; both Gawain and Barghest running, lunging towards Zenkichi with their swords. Both Touta and Sanzang tried to stop them but Baobhan created numerous blood tendrils to restrain them, preventing any interference.

"I have created over a thousand blades."

Brunhilde, her eyes widening in alarm, summoned her spear and leaped forward to help Zenkichi but a figure in black armor charged at her by the side, knocking her off balance.

"Ah! What the, who the hell are you?" Brunhilde asked as she swiftly launched a quick thrust at the black knight, but incredibly, he dodged the point blank attack by tilting his head.

"Arrrrtttthhhhuuuurrrr...." The black knight, Berserker Lancelot, growled as it picked up a sword from his side, coincidentally, it was a sword with a golden guard and white edge, which was quickly corrupted into a darker and evil color.

'Hold on, that sword...' Brunhilde's eyes widened.

"Arondight, Overloooooaaaaad!"

"Aware of loss,"

"Memories regained."

"Tch!" Blue flames and electricity emerged from Zenkichi's body, destroying the swords surrounding him like a cage. "You think you're the only who can do this?" He snapped his fingers and numerous swords similar to the ones pointing at him from the air appeared, the blades destroyed each other as they collided.

If he was alone, he wouldn't have been worried about Emiya using his Reality Marble, in fact, he'd welcome it as he could copy his skill.

However, his friends were in range for Emiya to drag them into his Reality Marble.

"Still withstood pain to create weapons, to find you in heaven."

He raised his hand, as if reaching for something.

"I have no regrets. This is the only path."

The flames surrounding them grew into a fiery inferno, engulfing everything.

"...Unlimited Blade Works."

"No!" Zenkichi yelled, but it was too late.

He stood on a land of endless swords.

....

AN: I did some slight changes to the chant. As you may or may not know, this is the Fate Stay Night Shirou. The one who went on the path of love, rather than the ideal of being an ally of justice. Not my favorite one compared to the rest of the fate series, the animation was crappy, but I loved it because of the love story between Shirou and Saber.
