9 The loveliest of all

Azalel was already bitting hard on his tounge. Blood flow freely on one side of his lips. But he dared not say a word. He only looked at Muriel's mortal body lying unconcious on the ground.

"Other than that,"

"You mean there's more?" Lucas interrupted once more.

"Yes, and I won't finish unless you stop interrupting me." the angel smiled to Lucas trying to gain composure.

"As I've said, besides messing with Muriel's feelings. It is forbidden that you disclose any information about his past. Wether him being an archangel. Or you guys being demons, even the one's that hunted him. Most especially, about your father Lucifer."

"If I succeed on doing all of those things. Will you guarantee his safety even if I'm not around anymore to protect him?"

"What exactly does that mean?" Lucas asked. From which he ignored once again.

"You have my word. And God's blessing as well." angel Gabriel was about to leave. But he turned his back again as he remembered something.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you,"

Lucas smirked. "I didn't know angels could have alzheimer's as well."

A ray of light flashed on Gabriels hand. Having it land on Lucas's arm. It burned the latter for a few seconds. That had him shut up for a while. Then turned to face Azalel.

"Do you remember what you asked God before the war broke out?"

Of course he did. It was the only thing he wanted the most at that moment. To be shed of his demonic skin and powers. Just so he could be worthy of Muriel.

"How can I forget?"

"God has decided to give you a chance to redeem yourself. But you must abide by his teachings. And never lead the way of darkness."

"Is that even important now? Isn't his archangel the main priority?"

"Even the most evil man can be redeemed if he walks the path of greatness. And accept God as his saviour and Father."

"Let me think about it." he said turning his back on the angel. Leaving him a lazy wave from behind.

"Who knows, I might be more useful if I walk the path that I'm actually used to. Don't worry, I won't hurt anyone. As long as they don't get on my nerves."

He easily lifted Urie's body from the floor. Lucas did the same thing with Rain's body, following Azalel's steps.

The latter glared as he walked pass to the angel that burned his skin. That would definitely take a lot of time to heal.

After erasing the recent memories of the attacks on Urie and Rain's mind. Azalel and Lucas left the room as they let the two have a better rest. They would have to think of a better lie to convince the two. On how they ended up on the same bed together.

"Are you sure you wouldn't want to be the one lying on the same bed as your pretty angel? I can easily switch the other one to the next room. While you two-" Lucas tried tempting him.

"I'm the devil prince and not a lowly pervert." he hissed. "I don't have to use a trick just to have him sleep in my bed. It's just that I can't. and I wont."

"You can't be that serious, are you?"

He didn't say anything and just walked pass Lucas.

If things were a bit different. He wouldn't care being branded a pervert. He'd definitely jump the opportunity of taking Muriel's body and making him his.

Death, punishment and eternal torture meant nothing to him. For it was in his DNA. But since he laid eyes on Muriel while trying to sneak on the garden of Eden. He thought he was the loveliest of all he had ever laid eyes on. Holding his flaming sword on one hand. He still looked delicate in his long tunic.

Azalel wanted badly to get close. But was almost caught by the other angels.

He passed through a lake of truth as he tried to run away. But was surprised by what he saw. His reflection weren't of the devil form that he had. But a beautiful boy.

"Who are you? Why trespass on the holy grounds?" Muriel stood behind him like a shinning goddess. So beautiful and delicate.

He held his sword right up to Azalel's neck.

"You're a devil." he uttered. "Say, what did you want to spy on the Garden of Eden?"

He stood gently. As to not trigger the guarding angel.

"I'm not a spy. I'm the prince of hell. I don't need to do that."

"You're what?"

"I'm-" Muriel was quick to shut his mouth with one of his hand.

"Do you know that you're frobidden to even set foot in here? Yet, you dared to spy-"

"I said, I'm not a spy." Azalel tried telling him. "I just saw you and was tempted to look at you for a while."

"Me?"

"It's because you're so beautiful. And I like looking at you." The young Azalel smiled at the angel Muriel.

The latter almost forgot of his duty.

Then a thunder suddenly broke from a far. That was a signal that they were being invaded by enemies.

He turned to Azalel who looked at him innocently. Though his skin tells otherwise.

Muriel raised his sword once more.

"You shouldn't be here. Go back now, and none of this shall be mentioned again."

"But-"

"Go!"

Azalel had no other option but to leave that place. What can a devil like him expect? Even the one he adores so much despises him because of how he looks. A scary and disgusting monster.

"Devil prince," he heard Muriel call him.

"Be careful on your way back." the way Muriel smiled at him was the best memory he had ever had in his childhood.

That's when he knew, he had fallen for him.

And promised himself, he will do everything posible just to be worthy of his sight.
