62 The long awaited

She stood looking at George. While the latter was busy preparing their breakfast.

“I need to tell you something.”

George saw how serious she was. And was ready to listen.

“Go on.”

“I’m not what you think I am. Atleast, not what you would normally think of me.”

“You’re not breaking up with me, are you?”

“No. Not that I would want to. Not unless, you decide it after hearing what I have to say.”

“Which is?”

“I’m not a mortal. But a demon. And a queen at that.” she made every word as clear as it could get. So that George could easily grasp the idea.

The latter let out a relived sigh.

“I thought you were actually breaking up with me.” And continued to make sandwiches.

“Hey, did you just hear what I said?”

“Yes, that you’re not human but a devil. And a queen maybe?”

“And?”

“And what?” George threw back the question.

“You don’t believe me, do you?”

The latter shrugged upon her frustrated reaction.
