4 Emotional State

The Goddess's words echoed inside the Rock's mind, and unknowingly, it imprinted on his memory and would serve as a reminder of why he was transmigrated into a different world.

The world where he felt he should belong.

The pride sleeping inside him growled with its bestial eyes opening wide, stilling fear in the people who dared to stare at it.

'Now, I'm finally free!'

Living in his previous world, the earth, was like a cage, a really small one. When he was a child, he caught someone laughing at him. He actually didn't know the actual reason, but when they giggled as they looked at him, a thought arose.

'I'm being mocked.'

His fist tightened and abruptly punched those kids who laughed at him, but he was scolded by his parents and was told not to do it again. Despite keeping to performing it behind their back, the world appeared to hold him tight, and the law was watching him and would quickly discipline him once he violated it.

It was forcing him to change into someone different from what he sought to become.

If Lucas thought his classmates might be reluctant in transporting him into another world, including the Rock. Then, he was wrong.

The Rock was more excited than he was.

***

The Goddess swept her lovely eyes to the students, and she wasn't surprised that some were still down-casted. Of course, it was natural for them to feel that way, for it was no different than being dead.

By now and any moment, possibly exactly tomorrow, people closer to them: Family, friends, and relatives, might be mourning in sorrow as a result of their disappearance.

They were even visualizing the picture of themselves inside the frame placed atop their coffin that was actually empty. They never thought they were in their spiritual form because they were standing and wearing uniform clothes. So they were not summoned by their soul, but their physical body.

Thinking their parents were crying in deep sorrow felt like a sting stabbing their hearts. Most of them were more concerned about their parents' well-being after receiving the news of their sudden disappearance than themselves.

As a matter of fact, that "most" was referring to the girls.

"Swords and magic?! Then, can I really change the weather? If that is excessive, then summoning a fireball while chanting should be feasible, right? How amazing would that be!" a boy exclaimed while trembling in excitement.

"Yeah, right!" his friend replied.

Suddenly, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he chanted while moving like a person having his eighth-grade syndrome.

"Oh, the spirit of fire, I call thee! Heed to my plea as I summon your presence to incinerate my enemy!"

He abruptly opened his eyes and stared at his open palm, facing the sky. Although empty, he imagined a fire was dancing atop it and looked at his "enemy," his friend, and pushed his open palm towards him.

"Fireball!"

Surprisingly, his friend looked scared, and some time passed when his friend attacked him with a "Fireball." He suddenly jumped, his back slightly stretched backward, then landed on the ground with his butt first.

He seemed to be in deep pain and glared at his friend hatefully, and then his eyes rolled upward as he fainted.

From afar, Lucas looked at the drama, and his body uncontrollably shivered.

'So cringe! Really cringe! They are already sixteen and in tenth grade, not eight. Why are they still acting like a child?!'

He forcefully erased the scene in his memory, but it was teasing him by replaying it over and over again. He resigned as he tried to distract himself by looking at his classmates' current condition, hoping the cringe episode would diminish once he saw an interesting sight.

And as expected, it did not disappoint him as he gazed at his classmates, precisely at the girls, and couldn't help but shake his head.

"They are the most invulnerable right now. Mainly in emotional and mental health. I hope they recover by the time they arrive in the world we are about to transport."

As much as Lucas wanted to help, it would depend if he had the power to hold such a heavy responsibility. Well, if talking about a single person who would not hesitate to lend a hand, he would not be surprised the girls would have emotional and physical aid.

However, Lucas was not that man, and admittedly, he was not even close to him in terms of having thought of helping people without hesitation.

"Now that we are about to arrive in a different world, then the previous status we had will turn anew. Well, given that we are about to receive the blessing of the Goddess, and she was the one who summoned us to another world, we should be welcomed by a lofty figure, right?

So we should not start as a commoner, and might herald as heroes in that world if it was talking from a fictional movie's perspective."

Lucas looked for Michael, and he was not surprised where he was and what he was doing. He was only distracted for a while after glancing at the girls, and when he was back to reality, the girls were instantly assured by Michael's comfort.

"Tsk? Why am I getting jealous? And why am I regretting something?"

Lucas shook his head lightly.

"Speaking of girls…"

All of a sudden, a thought appeared in his mind, and his heart promptly throbbed slightly loudly as though something was about to happen. He didn't like the assumption that popped up a bit, and he didn't want to see something that would prove it.

His eyes were dancing as he was looking for someone, and it was still in the direction of the girls and not far from them. Eventually, he found who he was looking for and heaved a sigh of relief, and his emotional state cooled down.

Though, he still didn't understand why he felt that way.

A pain suddenly struck his heart when he instantly thought of... Well… it shouldn't be bad, but he felt unpleasant just thinking about it.

'It's good she is still calm and collected despite the other girls acting like their life was taken away…

But why did I get jealous when I imagined she was being consoled by Michael?'
