Do you remember detective sergeant David Johnathan Lancer of the Everleason police department? He is a dark-haired man, tall, and always seen smoking a magical cigarette. He is always wearing a suede bronze coat and he always carries an umbrella with him. He gives off an air of being older than he is. The persona he presents is always take-charge and in-your-face. He has gone by many other titles. Daniel Smith believed once that his title was chief investigator. But he never once cared about the title people used for him, he is a detective first and a sergeant second.

But David was not always the way I described him, there is a softer side that he does not show as he wants to play the role that he had obtained. So how did he become the man he became? What is David Lancer's origin story?
