Destroying Clowns Only Makes Me Stronger

I transmigrated into a world similar to Earth and was selected as a contestant in a god's game. Because of a skill I received, I was continuously being harassed by a villain in a bad novel plot.

Prologue

"Ugh!" Waking up with a headache, I couldn't help but groan from the pain. I didn't remember drinking and having a hangover, but my headache and sluggish body say otherwise.

"Where am I?" Realizing that this room wasn't mine, I looked around, only to find myself more uncomfortable with my surroundings.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!"

I banged my hands on the floor as I saw memories of the body I inhabited. My head felt like it was about to burst, and with the headache I had, I felt like I was going to puke.

"Holy fuck!" Angered by my situation, I had to calm down, realizing where I was. With the memories fully organized and the pain gone, I sat on my bed and relaxed.

This body is named Arthur, the same name I have. It is probably a coincidence if I have to say so myself. Despite the similarity of our names, everything about us is different.

Unlike my brown hair, I had more radiant gold hair and a bright yellow iris that would attract the attention of anyone nearby. Matched with a dull and soulless personality, like this vessel was meant to be taken away, I was just a simple, handsome guy with a boring personality.

With no friends or family, it was like I had started a new life. I had wanted to return, but with no idea how to, I could only remain here and situate myself on what I could do.

"What should I do?" I had a part-time job as an assistant to an art commissioner for manga or other types of works similar to it. Today and tomorrow are my days, and now that I am here, I just don't know what to do.

Closing my eyes, I woke up again to a different world.

"Where am I?"

"I was just shitting a minute ago. How did I get here?"

"Fuck! I'm nutting!"

Unlike before, now more people around me are screaming in confusion. Some questionable people were around, but like me, they were all confused about what happened.

I was not in a room anymore and was transported into a forest with many people around. We were on a grassy plain, and with the bright sun shining on us, if it weren't for the fact we had teleported here, I bet anyone could enjoy this view.

"Welcome, sinners." As confusion took over the place, a cold and emotionless voice appeared, forcing all of us to listen.

Looking at the voice, it was a beautiful woman. Rather than a woman, it was an angel that had descended from the sky. Everything about her was radiant, but despite the glow she emitted, everyone knew she was dangerous.

"Sinners?" Someone in the crowd muttered, unsure how to feel when called that.

"Are you humans, not sinners? Your kind is already on the verge of destroying your world and is causing thousands of species to go extinct. Not only are you full of destruction, but you are also a creature with unsightly emotions. Sometimes, I wonder why the gods even bother keeping you alive for the sins you have committed." The angel obviously dislikes everyone in this room. No one commented, not wanting to get on her already bad side.

"I could keep going on a tangent, but as someone forced into this role, I'd rather finish this quicker." Ranting about her job to us, she immediately told us what this was about.

"The gods have organized a trial. Everyone here will be forced to take on a trial every month for the next two years. The first trial will take place after you finish the tutorial."

"Look outside of the barriers I have created." Listening to the angel, we saw that the barrier was surrounded by monsters.

Goblins with weapons surrounded us, freaking everyone. They had feral looks, ready to strike anyone down.

"What is that?" Someone close to me muttered, frightened by the bloodlust they ejected. One particular person stepped back, only to fall pitifully. It was the same person that nutted just as he arrived.

"With every participant, three goblins will be added. A hundred people means you must fight three hundred hordes of goblins." Ignoring our pathetic display, the angel continued to explain.

"The gods are gracious enough to give you a gift before this round starts. Check your status. Imagine an interface, and you will see what you need.

With my stats being shown, I couldn't help but marvel at the screen, thinking this was like a game in real life. While the goblins would kill us, it was a momentary distraction I needed.

If I could keep this alive, it would be a great gift. I don't think I remember conflicting with anyone, even after twenty years of living.

"In thirty seconds, the barrier will close down. I genuinely hope that there will be no survivors." For the first time, this cold angel's expression changed into a snicker.

She gave us no time to prepare, and everyone here was scared shitless. Some were excited, thinking that this was a game or a dream, but with three hundred goblins attacking, I did know that there would be a lot of damage coming our way.

"We're so fucked!" One person broke down immediately and kneed down in despair.

After thirty seconds had already passed, no one could care about what that man was doing. The barrier had dropped, and we had to prepare for an attack.
