The Last City

As I open my eyes I see a fighter jets controls in front of me. I have no clue what happened but I knew I was alive and I was thankful for that. Ghost noticed I woke up.

"Just dont touch anything that looks important." Ghost says in a sarcastic tone "Actually just dont touch anything"

The ship starts to propel itself forward and it makes me a little nauseous. On the ground you can see human like figures with weird metal like armor around them, some have more than two arms while others are floating eyeballs. These creatures are scattered throughout the rusted cars where I was when I first woke up. Among these devilish creatures was a bigger creature. Everything else was human like in stature but this thing took the prize. About the height of a basketball goal this humanoid creature was holding a sniper. At first I thought that since I was in the air I was safe. Then the giant creature shot the sniper and hit the right engine, the ghost said that we didnt lose anything important but we still needed to go to the city to figure out what we were supposed to do.

After about 10 minutes of flying in silence the ghost speaks to me again. "Hey um I thought you should learn a little about everything before we go to the tower. First let's start with the basics. I am a ghost. My duty as a ghost is to find a guardian. My guardian is you. I was created by the Traveler. I am blessed with light and my guardian can channel said light to become stronger than the darkness, about 100 years ago the collapse happened. This is when the darkness caught up with the light. The traveler showed up around the year of 2035 and during this time was a golden age for humanity. Life as we knew it changed. Major steps were taken towards expansion. Humans invented new and faster single flying spaceships that could easily travel from one solar system to the next. But with everything good comes the bad. Braytech was a business that made visible preparations for the coming bad. They created Rasputin a solar array made for taking down the enemy's of humanity."

"Eventually the darkness struck. It came in four different ways. The Fallen, The Hive, The Vex and The Cabal. These races want the light for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it. The Fallen was the first to land and they destroyed humanity the most. Rasputin was disabled due to the sudden invasion and went offline. Around this time is when the ghosts were made. Ghosts are parts of the traveler made of pure light. It is impossible to destroy a ghost. But a ghost who has chosen their guardian becomes much more important than a ghost without a guardian. Guardians, like you, come in three different races and three different classes. Race has nothing to do with abilities just your background is different. Now class on the other hand is important. You are either a Hunter, a Titan, or a Warlock. a Hunter is agile and fast, a Titan is an immovable force with explosive firepower, a Warlock is a mage of sorts specialized in support. Out of these three you are a Hunter... Let's end this here and talk more later."

After listening to the ghost talk and explain I end up even more confused. I am pretty sure he just assigned me to a job I didn't want.

At this point the city comes into view... A giant wall surrounds a city about as big as modern day New York. None of this was as astonishing as the giant ball of light that was floating above the city...

"The traveler..." The ghost says talking about the blue oceanic type colorful sphere floating in the air.

We fly over to what looks like the main base and when we pull into the place we see a bunch of other people.

"Welcome to the tower"
