AN UNDISCOVERED REALM I

ACE POV:

I was asleep all the way. The medicine worked wonders.

A gentle nudge woke me up.

"Master home".

It was the cauldez.

I rubbed my eyes in childlike fashion. I opened my eyes slowly, still feeling sleepy. I caught a first glimpse of my current surroundings. I closed my eyes back.

An image processed in my brain.

I came alive immediately at what I saw!

It was a realm of magical creatures!

I gazed around in shock. Every magical creature I couldn't imagine was found here.

In zealous awe, I did nothing but stare at what my eyes beheld.

Very little was left to imagination!

*FLASHBACK*

I knew that I couldn't face the beast, but in foolish bravado, I chose to.

Just then, an idea hit me hard!

'I could slither' I thought.

How foolish of me.

Then again, reality hit me harder!

I couldn't control it!

Control; an oversight. I don't know how I did it the first time.

It rushed to maul me to the wall. I dived out of the way. It locked horns with the wall.

It bought me ample time, but without duration.

I tried to juggle my memories to search for clues.

"Think, think, think" I yelled internally.

Images flipped by and by, but none was of relevance now.

A great force smacked me from behind.

I caught consciousness of myself halfway across the room.

I felt my ribs crack. I couldn't move any longer.

It sensed that I was badly injured. It intended to deal me the death blow.

It slowed down and gave a great distance. It aimed it's horns at my neck.

It scrubbed it's hind leg against the ground in a bull-fight déjà vu. It breathed hot steam from it's nostrils.

I tried a last-ditch effort to obtain the golden fleece.

It charged for me with all it's might. It ran towards me at incredible velocity.

Out of desperation, I yelled.

"Stop!!!".

I closed my eyes as it advanced closer.

Soon, I heard a loud scrubbing sound from the ground. It soon stopped abruptly.

I opened my eyes slowly. I found out that the horns was just an inch away from being entertained by my throat.

I swallowed a hard spittle as I slowly gave a safe distance.

"Understand".

"Huh?".

"Understand".

I immediately processed the statement in my head.

'I think it was asking me if I understand him' I thought.

But wait, I just slithered!

Phew, thank goodness!

"Yes, I understand you".

It brought it's head lower to where I lay.

On impulse, I was compelled to touch it's head. It moved it's head sideways, as if relishing my touch.

I quickly withdrew my hand, but again, I couldn't resist the temptations.

"Master understand me".

Wait, did it just...?

"You just tried to kill me now". I couldn't just help it but voice out my reservations.

"Jula angry".

I was beginning to get the vibes of this conversation.

"Your name is Jula?".

"Master correct".

"Okay, why did you just try to kill me?".

I was getting too impatient.

"Jula angry".

It breathed steam again.

"Why were you angry?".

"Wizard bad".

"Bad wizard? Who?".

"Wizard bad".

It stomped it's foot on the floor in agitation.

In wariness of returning to the former state, I quickly soothed it with my hands.

It occurred to me then. It's last statement just opened a can of worms.

"Where are you from?".

"What are you?".

"Where's your master?".

On and on, I bombarded the cauldez with questions.

"Ask many".

I didn't understand.

'Wait, it said the questions are too many'.

"Ok, sorry".

"First question, what are...? Already answered".

"Next question, where are you from?".

"Zetho".

"Zetho? What's Zetho? Like your home?".

"Yea".

"Ok".

"Jula show Master".

"Wait, you'll take me to your home?".

"Yea".

I felt elated, so much that I tried to move. I winced in pain.

"Master hurt. Jula fault".

It looked sober, like it was remorseful.

I felt somewhat sorry for it, so I patted it on the head.

"Jula heal Master".

"Wait, you can heal me?".

"Yea".

I waited and watched both in suspense and relief.

It brought it's tail to it's mouth. It pulled a long feather from it. It placed it on my chest.

Soon, a bright light shone from the tail.

I opened my eyes slowly. I felt somewhat whole again. I couldn't feel any pain again.

I got up in disbelief. I flexed every muscle I could in my body. All felt normal.

"Master well. Jula heal Master".

"Yes, you did. Thank you Jula".

"Master go to Jula home".

It picked me up with it's tail and placed me on it's back.

I positioned myself very well on it's back.

I was ready for a new adventure!
