Leaving Atlanta

“Your smirk is more meaningful than your words babe, so when are you planning to elope??” asked Scarlett casually. The bond of friendship between them is so perfect that one can just understand what another one think just by looking at one’s face.

“Tomorrow midnight, what say??” asked Tamara still driving.

“Yeah your stuffs are already packed, so you don’t have to bother about that, I will ask my dad for your tickets and Riverdale university has already accepted your JRF form so you can go there without any problem and I will handle remaining things" said Scarlett. Scarlett’s parents treated Tamara as their second daughter with love and Tamara was well attached to them like a family.

“Thanks babe” said Tamara

“ Not thanks, I want something else in return of that" said Scarlett with a mischievous smirk.

“Fine I will tell you story behind this, actually this morning when I went to see Grace for her birthday…” then Tamara narrated everything she heard from her cousin sister and so called fiancee.

“ I knew it from the day one that he is an asshole that too a big one… bastard, he is cat's poop literally of no use" cursed Scarlett.

Then they bought a fancy looking but cheap wedding gown from a down market and headed back to Scarlett’s house.

They discussed everything with her parents, “Its okay child we will handle everything here, just go ahead and chase your dreams with your year long hard work you did behind numerous theorems” said Mrs. Brown.

“Thanks meema, I don’t know what I would have done without your help” said Tamara

“That’s bad child you address us as parents and you are thanking us" said Mr. Brown

“Sorry” said Tamara holding her ears.

“Oh…my pet I will miss you soo much” said Scarlett and gave a bear hug to Tamara.

“Oh.. yess I just forgot, uncle can you please do some arrangement for Edna. I want to take her with me" said Tamara. Edna is a female cocktail parakeet which was gifted by Tamara’s parents on her 17th birthday.

“ Yeah that will be done dear” said Mr. Brown

“Okay then I should get going to wrap up important stuffs “ said Tamara taking permission for her leave. She bid a goodbye to Scarlett and her family. And drove back to her uncle’s home.

For next one day she pretended like a perfect would be bride doing whatever her uncle and aunt told her to do.

And then the night came, she has already send Edna to Scarlett and her baggages were placed downstairs to avoid last moment hurry on the day of wedding which is not going to happen. She covered her face with a scarf and goggles, with silent baby steps she came downstairs till now almost everyone were deep asleep. She checked her wrist watch, it was 2 AM she still had 1 hr left for checking in airport.

She opened the door and one by one she pulled her trolley and bags outside. The cab was waiting outside at the next house, she went there and saw driver arguing with a tall man.

“Sorry, sir but you have booked the cab on share" said driver

“But I don’t want to share that with anyone” said the mysterious man wearing hoodie it was difficult to see his face in dark. Tamara shook her head and loaded her luggage in car trunk. While doing so she heard the sound of door of her house. She turned her head and saw the door opening, “Shit!!!” she cursed loudly.

“Driver please start the car, sir we can discuss this after crossing society” said Tamara, driver obediently sat inside.

“Sorry but I don’t want to share the cab” said Man.

“Ahh…. Just cut the crap" said Tamara and pushed the man on passenger and sat next to him.

“Drive away!! Fast!!” she urged the driver and driver started to drive when finally they were far away from the society. She took sigh of relief and removed her scarf and goggles. She then turned and meet a pair of dark grey eyes boring at her. In the extreme darkness all that she was able see were the eyes of that man.

“Ahmmm… sorry actually I am going to airport, I didn’t want to get late.” Said Tamara with a sorry face.

“Then its fine I am also going to airport” said the man still staring at Tamara.

“I think then its perfect, what say driver??” asked Tamara

“That’s what I was trying to explain this hooligan” said driver making face.

Tamara chuckled at his face expression and looked outside the window quietly, while the man kept her staring all the time.

When they reached airport, driver said “We are at our destination, well I think that ma’am you should be the one having problem with sharing cab with a hooligan but the thing was opposite”

“You shouldn’t say that, none dreams to become a hooligan or criminal. Its just that life is not good with everyone of us and we eventually sink in darkness Or sometimes we just misunderstood people ” said Tamara while paying the driver.

“Thank you ma’am, have a safe journey” said driver, Tamara smiled warmly and pulled her luggage towards departure, there she saw Scarlett and her mom waiting for her.

“Your flight has already been announced child, take care of yourself and call us when you reach" said Mrs. Brown

“Yeah, and do find someone better than that asshole for you and don’t forget me after making new friends there” said Scarlett

“I may make friends in dozen but I will always have only one bestie” said Tamara and hugged them.

Mrs. Brown kissed on her head and waved her bye, Tamara realized even if she don’t have her own parents she do have wonderful sister in the form of Scarlett and parents in the form of Mrs. And Mr. Brown.
