Chapter 44: The Ring

Seth left Seamus's apartment feeling confident that his family would be safe.

Family.

He was going to have a family and he was going to be a father. Kinley was carrying his child so it was only fitting that he make her his wife. He wanted to do so before the baby was born, so the sooner the better.

He was about to get into his car when he saw a jewelry store out of the corner of his eye. He darted across the road and walked the half a block to the store.

He walked in and glanced around. The one he chose had to be perfect and reflect his love for her. She wasn't the type to care about material things. She never wore flashy jewelry or expensive clothes. She only owned a few pairs of shoes. The only thing she spent a ton of money on was books.

So, he needed to find something that was meant just for her.

"Hello, sir. What may I help you with today?" asked the clerk.

"I want to ask the love of my life to marry me. So, I am looking for the perfect engagement ring."
