152 Forever (Leo)

When I finally manage to open my eyes, it's late. Julia is already sleeping.

Her calm breathing accompanies me back to the world. The taste of her blood still lingers in my mouth, and her body is nestled next to mine.

A shiver of hers makes me realise that she indeed gave me blood. I bit her, right? That part is so confusing in my memories, but I clearly heard her sobbing. That's what made me wake up.

My body hurts, but I manage to turn on the side and hug my girl. I pull the blanket up to cover her shoulders, and I observe her face deeply asleep. She's pale and cold, but not as much as the first few times I bit her.

Did I lose control?

Of course, I did; what am I thinking about? How could I keep control if I can't even remember what happened?

I feel like I slept for years, but it's clearly less than that.

Julia's eyelashes flicker, and her brown eyes glance at me. She smiles, as natural as spring rain.
