A ROYAL BLUE PENDANT

Eiana watched the shopkeeper open a big box and then saw that it had many small, beautifully carved boxes of different sizes in it. He took them out one by one and opened it to keep in front of it. Eiana almost whistled when she looked at those. Though, she had a lot of rare gems and jewelries with her, still most of them were all gifts from others. She never had chose something to buy herself.

Everyone of the pieces were utterly beautiful, and though she wanted to buy something, she was confused which one to buy. For a moment, she thought of buying everything. Then she also remembered him saying that these are one of the finest collection in his shop.

And even if she buys those, she will not wear it regularly, maybe one in a year. It would be better, if this pieces went to someone who would really value them. So she thought of buying one after careful consideration. Also, she was not so vile to spend the money she has right now on jewelries and roam around with it!

Suddenly, she felt as if something strange as if something changed around her, she raised her head of look, but Darius was still sitting beside her and the shopkeeper still opening the boxes.

She took a deep breath and thought that she was thinking too much.

Eiana looked at each pieces carefully, but the next second, her eyes were instantly drawned on a chain with a pendant that the shopkeeper was holding. It was a platinum coloured chain with a royal blue stone it in. And the stone was also quite unique. If one looks at it closely, he would be able to see a something like a dragon's symbol on it. The design around the pendant was also very beautiful, as if flowers and vines wrapped around the blue stone.

Eiana looked at it in daze and after sometimes said, "Sir, can you please show me that one. " The shopkeeper handed her that with a frown on his face. When Eiana touched the pendant, she felt her heart shiver a little and she softly gasped.

What happened? She looked up at them and then looked back at the pendant. It was undoubtedly beautiful. Any woman would want it, but she felt a strange pull towards it. As if she wanted it at any cost. It was so strange.. but she didn't hate it.

Eiana then asked the shopkeeper ," Sire, from where did you get this piece? "

The man looked at the pendant for quite sometime, but then said in an utterly confused voice and a frown on his voice, " I really don't remember owning this necklace. From where did it come here then.... "

Seeing the old shopkeeper thinking so hard to remember, Eiana also frowned a little. How come he doesn't remember owning such a beautiful piece?

Darius, who was quite some a while now, spoke, " I think Sire doesn't need to think so hard. It's your shop and your collection, so ofcourse no outsider would come and gift it to you in free. You must have got in from somewhere and must have forgot it. After all, it happens with age."

The man nodded his head, and the wrinkles on his forehead disappear. 'The logic seems correct though. I might have not noticed it for a long time. ' Though, he still had some doubts, he choose not to entertain those.

Eiana who developed an extreme attachment to the pendant, at last bought it. Darius paid for it. Though, Eiana denied on taking his money at first, but in his insisting, she finally accepted.

When they came out of the shop, Eiana was still staring at the pendant with a smile on her face. She then brought her hairs to one side and tried putting it on herself. But the problem arised here that she was not able to hook it.

Darius saw here struggling and politly offered, "Shall I help, milady? " Eiana looked at him with a little surprise and then nodded her head after thinking. Darius went behind her after and a amused smile graced his lips. ' She is so cute. '

And when his eyes fell on the pendant around her neck, his eyes became dark and his smile turned into a mysterious smirk.
