CHAPTER 237: The Breakfast Banter

"I will be going to see the Crown Prince today about the proposal," the Baroness muttered and Aella stopped eating.

They were all seated at the breakfast table, enjoying the meal when her mother had to bring up what would make her lose her appetite.

Aella snuck a glance at Bane to see him already looking at her. He seemed to be gauging her reaction at her mother's statement.

"Oh, Mother, can I please accompany you?" Aurelia asked eagerly from besides her mother.

"No, child, I will head alone,"

"But, Mother!" Aurelia whined like a baby.

"Oh, please, will you quit it? She already said she will go alone," Aella hissed out of annoyance and Aurelia pouted.

"Aella, you have not said anything regarding our decision since last night. Is everything alright with you?" the Baroness pointed out.

Aella sighed as she picked on her food, her desire to eat slowly dying down.
