Aella sat on the bed awkwardly as she was left all alone with Bane who was standing by the doorway as though he was frightened to step closer to her.

She didn't dare look up at him because she knew that her cheeks were already as red as they could be. Memories of what happened last night in this room flooded her head and she was finding it quite hard to stay still.

"Good morning," Bane's deep voice greeted and she gulped nervously.

"M-Morning," she answered hesitantly and kept her gaze forward.

Having no other way of alleviating the tense air, Aella decided to pick up her comb and do something with her hair. She began to untangle the intertwined strands gently without making a sound.

"Let me help you with that," Bane stepped forward but Aella was already shaking her head.

"It is fine. I can do it," she said with a small smile, not because she didn't wanted him to help but because she didn't trust herself if he would come any closer to her.
