Aella kept her eyes on Bane as she waited for him to answer her question. She didn't know why he was stalling to answer but it was adding to her anxiety by the minute.

Suddenly, a soft smile appeared on his lips which made her furrow her eyebrows a little.

"How are you feeling now?" Bane asked instead as he changed the topic.

"I am feeling much better now. Rohare and Aurelia kept me company and their silliness made me laugh a lot," Aella played into his game.

"Do you like Rohare that much?" his question made her tilt her head a bit. She didn't know why he would ask such a thing but the look on his face told her he was serious about it.

"Uh...he is a lovable character. He has helped a lot in the estate despite being here for such a short time," Aella answered honestly but the storm in Bane's golden eyes darkened.

She bit her lips feeling she had said something wrong. Why was his face changing that way?
