1 Prologue: Desire for Balance

The war being neverending, painful, traumatizing, and heartbreaking for all species of this world to see. They think of how their leader could possibly end this war peacefully without sacrificing a life everytime they go out to fight, and for what? To gain and to achieve dominance over what they think is theirs? Well they're either wrong or right, the people don't know. But today, things might change already.

The group of travellers are currently wandering around the forest, a human, a spirit, a monster, a beastman, a demon and an angel, together. They had a plan to continuously explore the entirety of this world just to talk to one of the leaders so that they can end this war in peace, showing that even if they are different in looks and in blood, they can still be together.

"How long until we get there... I'm tired already!" Said by the human who they call Von, his name may sound like a noble, and he is one but he's the opposite from his personality, and the way he thinks, acting like a normal commoner because he doesn't believe in the rankings of his place.

"Oh come on Von, we've only been walking for 4 hours, it's not that bad." Said by the angel, Flora, looking at Von above him while floating thanks to her wings as she chuckled and smiled, her beauty being that of a true angel's, as her wings flapped as feathers fell.

"...ironic for someone who's floating." Von said annoyed, looking away while clicking his tongue, making a 'Tsk' sound.

"It's probably because you're pretty weak in terms of strength dude. Look at me! I'm buff!" The beastman said, being huge and muscular as he began flexing his muscles, both Von and Flora looking at him unimpressed. His name being Snow, as his white fur represents what he looks like.

Then the demon and monster sighed as they shrugged, looking at the three of them talk and argue once again while they just stayed silent. The demon named Edge, and the monster who was named Buster. Both somehow looking alike due to the fact that they came from the same family and are biological siblings. Yet Buster lacked the wings and tail of a demon, but nonetheless, they respected each other.

"G... Guys we should um.. stay quiet?- I.. I don't know.." The spirit said, her name being Yu, being an incredible shy spirit and also perhaps introverted, as she kept shivering as she saw Von, Flora and Snow arguing as usual.

"Alright alright enough! Let's just continue with our mission.. Besides, we don't have much time left after all." Von said, breaking the argument up as all of them looked at him.

"You're right.. But what if we fail?" Edge asked, putting his hand on his waist while raising an eyebrow, obviously being aware and concerned about the safety for all of them. Von looking down as he began thinking if his plan to being peace will work, and if the leaders would hear him out.

Snow nodded, as he sighed looking at Von, to see him worried or perhaps nervous, before patting Von's head. "Lighten up bud, the war may be here but you still have us, remember, you're the guy who brought us all here after all!" Snow laughed while smiling, as all of them responded back while Von was surprised of their optimism, maybe he shouldn't be worried.. He can't let himself get discouraged after all. "Yeah.. You're right, thanks you guys." Von nodded as he stood back up, satisfied that he had his break, while beginning to stretch his arms and legs.

"Alright, let's go and end this stupid war!" Von said with full confidence as he started sprinting ahead, the others beginning to follow him as he looked back and smiled happily, how he was thankful to have them.

That is until..

They have been caught in the crossfire of the war. Flora, being impaled by a sword as she died bleeding. Snow being shot by a gun through the head. Edge tried to protect Yu, but they both ended up getting killed. As for Buster.. He was eaten by a nearby pure monster that was savage, getting killed in the deep sea lake where they once tried to escape. All that was left now was Von. His knees on the ground as tears fell from his eyes, his body being covered in blood as he didn't expect this certain outcome. His eyes widened as he looked at the people, screaming on top of their lungs, fighting, killing, getting killed. All he heard was the screams of fear and anger.

"Why.. Why did this happen to us... What did we do wrong?.." Von said as he groveled to the ground, punching it as he grits his teeth sobbing. Angry at the fact that he was powerless to save and protect his beloved friends. Until a word came out to him..

You have the power.. the potential..

Von looked up, his eyes teary, and a bit red, he didn't see anyone around him, only dead bodies.

You desire to fight, and to bring peace.. no?

"Who's there?! Show yourself!" Von stood up in instinct, not feeling comfortable or safe from whoever was speaking to him.

Don't you want power?

Once he heard this question, he relaxed, becoming even more curious, as he breathes gently. "What if I do.."

Then tell me.. What's your desire?

"To bring peace and balance for this world.."

That's not it though. Tell me the truth. What do you truly DESIRE?

"To.. To.." Von looked down on the ground, gripping his hands as he felt disappointed to himself, but it was the only way for him to achieve his goal, calming himself down as he looked back up to see a reflection of himself... speaking to him.

Your answer?

"I desire to rid all my enemies. To kill all who hurt my loved ones. And to bring order to this world." Von said to himself that was in front of him. Until his reflection suddenly changed into a mixture of light and dark in the form of a human. Giving it's hand out as it spoke with two voices. "Don't be afra-a-aid." The entity said softly. As Von didn't seem to be reluctant or felt any danger around them. He held their hand as both of them began floating.

"You shall be the first successor, and the very first wielder of magic." The entity said as they kept floating, until both of them began shining, a bright and dark light at the same time as Von was amazed and shocked at the sight he's seeing, feeling the surge of energy getting inside of his body.. It felt unusual and weird for him, yet the power he was gaining felt amazing. Suddenly, both the Entity and Von merged together as he was now becoming Light and Dark itself. His ham body still intact yet his skin was different, in exchange he was glowing light, and was a dimming dark. His personality had changed, as he looked at the battlefield from where the war was happening. Knowing what to do, he flew there quickly as fast as he could so he can stop them before it's too late.

As the battlefield were filled with the screams of terror, rage and pain, both nations and species killing each other off without any thought. Lives being lost each second. The same as life being brought by someone out there, the cycle won't end. Until all of the soldiers in the battlefield has been chained and restricted by glowing light chains, even those outside of battle and were in tents got chained up.

"W.. What the hell?!" Said by the commanders in the battle, trying to move but were unable to do so.

"Enough." Said by Von, now being in control of the battlefield, all of the soldiers looking at him from above, knowing that they were outmatched from who they're up against, so they decided to listen.

"Now listen here. This war will end one way or another. If not. Then this will be the end of humans, monsters, angels and every species in this world. I will not hesitate to do so." Von said before releasing all of them from his chains, despite him only being in the battlefield, it seems that the whole world as heard of him. Of course with his power, he was able to do so. And the people did not take it as a joke. As the soldiers in the current battlefield he was in dropped all of their weapons, understanding the difference in power they have against him.

"Glad to see you're all cooperating." His eyes blinked, his pupils becoming different from a human's now, as he had a light pupil at the left, and a dark on at the right. Before teleporting away to a discreet location where it has a table and a very sealed room that felt like very far from the earth. As he sat down on the front, with each table reserving for the leaders. Then out of nowhere, each leader appeared on the chairs. The leader of the humans, beastmen, monsters, angels, demons and spirits. All of them flabbergasted and shocked about what happened, before feeling the sudden aura that emitted from Von, the Light and Dark entity. He still doesn't know what to call himself for now.

"So as you can see, I've gathered you all here today to.. discuss. If you understand." Von said, his voice being the same yet more serious and menacing. The Leaders all looked at each other and nodded in sync, before looking at Von as the leader of angels asked ahead. "What is it?.."

"As you can tell, I want this war to end. And if not, I can clearly end this whole world instead. So how about that we all get what we want right? You all want land. So that is why, I'll make sure to create even more lands for your people. There will be no killing, no slaughtering, and no suffering to experience anymore. If you're not up to what I have in mind. Then please, what can you all do with the powerless brains you lot have?" Von said while folding his hands, as he leans back against the chair, looking at all of them.

The leaders thought it was the only way. It was the only reason they were having a war, to gain and to obtain more land, or perhaps to overrule the other leaders. There was no choice but to accept his offer. As Von nodded, yet before he would make them go back, he stopped. "Although wait just a minute.." The leaders got curious, wanting to know what he has in mind again.

"As all of you can see. I both have the power to create and destroy life. Although it can be a little unstable due to the amount I've got.. So that's why, I'll give the world a chance of 1 to 100 to all species to be able to obtain their own Desire. Or as the ancient ones called it, magic. Good luck, and I'll be watching." Von then sends them back to their place before beginning to sending out a surge of energy throughout the whole world for them to experience what he currently has.

"I'm not Von anymore.. I may as well be called, The Originator." Von nodded, feeling satisfied and a bit cool from the name he gave himself.

"I may have to spice things up a bit.. Oh well, time to get to working." And so he became the one who maintains balance and order around the world. But the limit that he has is he cannot interfere in human problems unless it's the end of the world or a cruel war. Though before he would give the world his power, he had to balance it out into different categories: Physical, Elemental, Spiritual, and lastly, the most important one, Emotional. Those four categories separates how a Desire or magic works in this world. Physical being able to enhance, or improve, or gain stronger physical abilities in the human body, or perhaps be able to learn a different ability through the ways of man. Elemental being the elements around the world, such as Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and so much more to learn and to adapt depending on the user's potential. Spiritual being Light and Dark magic separated as they have their own category. Being a higher rank above those if mastered correctly like Von. Lastly, Emotional. This being the most broken power of all, consisting in a 1 to 10,000,000 chance of happening to a person, that is why he had to raise the chances. 1 to 100 of being a Physical, 1 to 500 being an Elemental, 1 to 10,000 to be a Spiritual. Those odds looked pretty balanced to him apparently, as he sighed and relaxed on the chair he sat on, hoping that his friends would've been alive to see him like this.

"I miss you guys already.." He said while laying his head down on the table, before sighing in the process then realizing the consequences of what he's done. "As much as I don't like what I did.. What's done is done, and I cannot let this power I have get out of control. Far as I know when there is good, evil shall rise from the depths." A sigh came out of him as he had started a new era and beginning for this world because of him.
