To Conquer a new life

A servant came to his shed dropped off a plate of hard-looking bread and a small cup of water and walked away without saying anything. He knew from the original owners that this was breakfast.

Lu Feng's activities in this weak body tired him out so as much as the bread was unappealing he stuffed it into his mouth and began to chew and swallow, it was so dry. Even the water wasn't helping. A few minutes later he felt the servant's presence returning towards him again and Lu Feng retreated into the shed, the servant paused for a minute to see the fool had eaten this unappetising food meant for pigs. Lu Feng needed strength for his vitality was far too weak. After the servant left he again looked at the information he stole from the library and deduced that he must be in the second sub-cultivation realm of the first cultivation realm, the Refinement realm. There were many realms above this each of which had three subcategories, lower, intermediate and peak.

Refinement realm;

First-Sixth Level - Accumulation of Spirit Energy to temper the body

Seventh Level - Able to extend Spirit Energy outside of the body to attack

Eight Level - Tempering the Bodies 720 Acupoints

Ninth Level - Creating a whirlpool in the middle of the Spirit Sea.

Lu Feng was in the second refinement level, really like a six-year-old still. From what the original owner had heard, his brothers and sisters were all between the seventh level and ninth level, he did not know what level his father was in. But so far he knew above refinement realm was

Natal Opening realm

Manifestation realm

Nether passage realm

And this is all the book tells him, he knew in the future he would need to find a better library as there was no information on what these realms meant. Now knowing this, Lu Feng knew he had a lot of catching up to do, that night he cultivated vigilantly and broke through the third refinement stage!

He was very happy and his body felt a little bit stronger than it had previously but he realised a mistake that he had made, he had heard the servants the next morning say they felt someone make a little breakthrough but could not figure out who it was.

No one had suspected it would be Lu Feng, from then on he decided he would run to the cave in the mountain when it was dark and cultivate theirs through the night since people only came to see him during the day to give him his food, he promised himself to also use this running up and down the mountain as his exercise to train his body stronger and incrementally increase his vitality.

On the first night up the mountain, he buried the dead body of the assassin deeply near the cave but decided not to mark it as firstly this guy had killed and secondly it would be suspicious if someone found a grave there. He had seen some herbs with a lot more vitality than other herbs and they had spiritual energy in them and thought they might be useful later. However, when he plucked them from the ground, some of the spiritual energy dropped and a lot of the life force drained quickly. It seemed these spiritual herbs were a lot more sensitive than the normal ones. He would need to read that encyclopedia later, maybe find a library.

Three weeks passed as Lu Feng did this every night, his stamina slowly increasing and his legs getting used to the ache each night. After three weeks his cultivation grew to the fourth level, he knew this was very fast after having read the usual breakthrough levels from that book but he put it down to having meridians and absorption speed twice as wide as normal ones so it was likely the body had been close to the breakthrough. He was expecting a lot of strength to envelope him yet he only felt a little less weak. He figured this was due to his body probably having been so weak that any energy meant to strengthen the body went into fixing it.

Lu Feng practised the BAH method at night when he climbed to the mountain and entered his cave so no one would sense him collecting the spiritual energy in the air, plus he had started feeling his aura being more repressed a little and thus was better a little less noticeable now, he did practice the Celestial Soul Technique (CST) during the day as it caused no energy fluctuations but wasn't sure if anything was even happening as he felt no change, but still, he continued hoping that one day his perseverance would yield results.

In his fourth week of his new life, he had snuck in at night into the Lu Family library looking for a map of the village and local towns and some more general books that wouldn't be missed, he had been lucky not to be caught as he was still only at the very beginning of his abilities to minimise his presence and aura. At the time Lu Feng had no idea just how reckless he was being.

As the servant took away the tray of his food for dinner, Lu Feng used his method to pull in a bit of his presence and aura so he was less noticeable and waited for the servant to turn the corner of his house. He had a plan. According to the map, by foot, the nearest town from here would be an hour's walk. Lu Feng knew he needed to grab more things for his revenge as well as gather more information. Lu Feng could only gage time by sneaking close to the Lu family residency to eavesdrop until the servants said the time. Lu Feng has been climbing a bit of the mountain to get to the cave he trained in so he could probably do it in maybe 45 minutes, the trouble was that the shops in the town would close in an hour, leaving only restaurants and evening time entertainment establishments open, which was cutting it very close, still, Lu Feng used the map and jogged the way there.

Lu Feng was aware that his hair and eyes were very attention catching so he tore the hood of the clothes the assassin had been wearing and used it to cover his mane. He then tore a thin long piece of one of the assassin's inner robes to use to loosely cover his eyes. This material was thin enough for him to see but thick enough to cover his eyes. This was a makeshift veil. He was fortunate as he could also see using his BAH which provided a black-and-white image of what was around him within 20 metres.

He had underestimated himself a bit, the tough terrain upend around the mountain and cave were a lot tougher than flat land. Although a little drained from the jogging he had made it to town. On his way, he saw many people stare him down, likely due to assuming he was a blind beggar due to his clothes as his plan of a makeshift veil was mistaken for an eye cover for a poor blind person and the way he smelled as the Lu family would not waste such precious resources on the fool that they could hardly remember in the back of their residence. Some assumed he was a runaway slave.
