The Feng Residency

As Lu Feng was about to exit the cave of the mountain the assassin had taken him to end his life and dispose of his body but then he remembered this body had very very weak water affinity. He stood there looking out, the wind caressing his tangled and kinked hair, his piercing grey eyes as if a celestial spirit from the heavens. If it weren't for his filthy appearance, his beauty would truly be unrivalled in all the nearest land.

Due to his family neglecting him his cultivation level was still the same as when he was 6 years old before he had become a fool. At the entrance of the cave; Lu Feng sat down and tried to feel the energy in the atmosphere. It had been a very long time since this body had done so, it took a lot of concentration.

He noticed something different with this body's meridians and Dantian, they were HUGE. This was odd, the meridians and Dantian were twice as wide as they should be. What should be the size of an artery was twice its size.

Lu Feng sat and thought for a moment to think about his new body and how he had crashed into it, maybe because his soul came into this body, his meridians had doubled in size? So maybe that bone-grinding pain he felt earlier was not his bones but his meridians? Is that even logical he wondered? Whatever the cause he knew this could potentially mean that he could soak in twice the amount of spiritual energy in the air, so he began to run his Dantian. Only then had Lu Feng encountered a problem, yes his Meridians allowed twice the amount of energy in but they were extremely flimsy, he had to be very careful and slow with this cultivating. He also realised that if his Dantian was twice the size, then wouldn't it take him twice the amount of spiritual energy to fill it? These issues were quite worrisome to him.

He remembered from the memories of his six-year-old self that he would normally soak in all the blue energy in the atmosphere and that was water spiritual energy but this time there purple particles mixed in with the blue and some white ones. There were a lot more purple particles than blue. The purple outranked the blue particles by 2/3rds with only a few specs of white, an insignificant amount. What was this? Was it from his new soul affinity added to the one of the old soul? Lu Feng tried to think back to the Lu family tutor explaining to him when he was five but he could not remember this purple one. Brown was earth, red was fire, green was wood, water was blue and the wind was grey. But what was this purple?

He gave it up in his mind up in the end and hurriedly started making his way down the tough terrain of the mountain front to the Lu family residency using the shaky memory of the terrified original owner when he had been abducted. The assassin had been so sure he would successfully kill Lu Feng that he did not even take his normal precaution to cover the victims' eyes and numb their senses while moving them to a different location. Lu Feng knew this family was horrible to the original owner but the original owner was a fool and did not know much, his memories showed there was a library in the Lu family residency and he very much needed knowledge for knowledge is power. He used the memories of the original owner to find his way through the back of the village and into the Lu family residency. This body was very weak. He only had travelled a few hundred meters and he was tired already, not to mention how scrawny this body was. He had to remedy this in the future.

The Lu family had made Lu Feng sleep in a small abandoned animal shed at the back of the residency as they wanted to pretend he didn't exist. His mother, father, two older brothers and twin sister all had begun to hate him when he turned a fool. Lu Feng decided there and then that he would avenge the original owner for he knew how it felt to have your family scheme against you. He would definitely destroy them and build himself up. Lu Feng saw some of the servants of the residency were up and already preparing for the day.

Nearing the dreaded residency he steeled his resolve, the entire residence was huge, as if to represent the magnitude of the people he would have to overcome. It very much reflected their status as an affluent family of the region with around 150 mu of land (about 24 acres). Even walking from in the residence left him quite vulnerable to being seen, luckily he entered the residency from the back. In his little shed, far beyond the main house and the servants quarters, and some of the live stock and horses stables was where he was left to cling on to life. He snuck from his shed into the main house , weaving as efficiently as he could over to his target. Lu Feng used the memories in the library, he was truly lucky in some way to have his small body which didn't attract too much attention. Once in the library he gently closed the door behind him so as to not make any noise.

The main house was so large it took him even a few minutes to find the library. It was only unimaginable luck that the Lu family were stupid and the Lu Feng family guards patrol was poorly structured that there was barely any near the main house, most of them towards the front of the residency. Tsk as if a thief would only walk through the front. Lu Feng was thankful for this though as it made sneaking it much easier. In front was a wooden desk, what seemed like a station for his father to arrange all his documents and books when in here. Lu Feng looked around quickly skimming from book to book, from parchment paper to parchment paper. He needed to collect information but needed to do it so that nothing would be noticed if moved or taken. He grabbed what seemed to be a copy of a map of this world. He found a small history book as he had just decided this would be all he needed for now and will drop them as he willed them into the space ring in his toe, the door opened.

A tall bald dark-skinned man, a little round in the belly took a moment to study the small boy in the room. He truly would not have recognised the boy if it was for the grey-silvery hair that just stopped above Lu Feng's bum. Lu Feng quickly turned around to see his Father. Immediately the face of the Lu Family Head scowled. Had his father seen him transport those things into his space ring, was he found out already?

"Cai Long!" He bellowed as his servant hurriedly replies "yes Lu family head". Lu Feng stiffened. "Why is this fool in here, don't you know there are important things in here, why is he in the house, haven't you taught him to keep to the back of my Lu family residence?" Lu Jun, the family head bombarded his servant with a plethora of questions.

Lu Feng knew the original owner never really said much as a fool so he kept his mouth shut. The servant rushed in behind Lu Feng and grabbed him tightly by the shoulders. "Please master, I have offended you, let the fool into the house, mercy on this lowly servant, I will take the fool out, the mistake is mine" he stammered to quench the ire of his master and he pushed Lu Feng out of the library. Once out of sight of his father. The servant Cai long grabbed Lu Feng's wrist tightly and all but dragged a staggering Lu Feng back to the shed at the back of the residence and kicked him into the gravel, his head colliding into the frail wooden structure he knew as home. One truly couldn't tell which fragile thing would break first, the shed or Lu Fengs' head, but in the end neither did.
