Revolution begins

Lu Feng sat down across from the village head. Both of them had just been looking at each other for a few minutes since he'd come into the room. Lu Feng looked at the eyes that were staring at his figure. Though the village head couldn't see anything past that black veil he kept looking as he tried to figure out if he was going crazy.

"Is the obscure thing I have just been told true?" The village head asked.

"Yes," Lu Feng responded swiftly.

"Y-you want to buy the entire mountain front?"

"Yes"

"But the mountain has beasts on the other side"

"Precisely"

"I said there's BEASTS there"

"Yes"

"But it's so much land as well"

"Yes"

The village head went into silence again.

"R-right, since you're so sure. That land there is worthless and no one wants it because it dangerous, even the wealthy families here buy land quite far from it but just like the view so it's not worth that much but in such quantity, it's about 130 gold coins, this is an entire mountain front and all the land in front of it. Are you absolutely, absolutely sure?" He enquired again.

"Yes," Lu Feng said.

"R-right,".

"My young master would like to pay in instalments if that's okay, how about 20 gold for the next 7 weeks?"

"Yes, we can sign a payment contract along with your land registry."

After an hour or so with working out the kinks of the contract and land ownership, the land was officially his ( well partially until he's completed the payment)

"Oh right village head, please, now that this has been established, let people know that stepping on to that land without permission is trespassing and therefore a crime, you will support us to punish those who trespass won't you?"

"Yes, we will uphold the law" he responded sincerely.

"Good, may the flame of the silver Phoenix forever illuminate your way." Lu Feng said as he left, recurve the same saying back from the village head.

When Lu Feng left the government centre was in a frenzy, never had such an obscure thing happened before. No matter what where it was fifty land of mu I'm a single purchase was unheard of, especially when it was the mountain front, just what was that Silver Phoenix thinking?

What others didn't see was the genius behind Lu Feng, this may have been a heavy price to pay but he had pretty much monopolised the mountain and this the great forest of Zupring, by buying all the land required to cross there, now nobody could ever enter the forest to hunt spiritual beasts without requesting his permission. In the event that someone did want to do the same business as him now they saw the profit of the mountain peak restaurant they would have to ask him for access to the forest, which he could either put a heavy toll or decline them altogether.

Lu Feng had paid his first 20 gold coins there so now only had 17 gold left. Lu Feng spent the next couple of hours completing a few tasks. First he went and spoke to the merchant that had completed the veils and asked for more people who could deal with spirit materials, he said they had to come in 2 months and he needed at least thirty of them and he would employ them and pay them well. The merchant agreed and said he would source them from the surrounding villages.

Next he and found the Cai brothers and told them if they pass the trials they would be tasked with training troops for the Silver Phoenix, they were both shocked to the core. Never did they think they would be considered for such a position.

Lu Feng also went to a temporary job association and put up a job for a few people to go to different cities and tell the wealthy family there of the spirit beast meat that was being sold at the mountain peak restaurant and put a few silvers for the job.

He also put up a job for troop veterans to leave their contact information there but the job did not specify what they were needed for.

As Lu Feng travelled in what he would now call his stealth state when he repressed his aura and presence, he crouched lowly and pressed forward. Lu Feng was still very much on the outskirts of the forest where the weakest spiritual beasts would be found for he knew it was too risky to go deep in the forest for magical beasts were innately much stronger and here they also had the territorial advantage.

Lu Feng walked along the outskirts of the forest. Lu Feng knew that due to how large the forest was and how many beasts were in it, even if he killed 900 spirit beasts a day he still would not dent the ecosystem due to how many beasts lived there. The great forest of Zupring had another name, the million beast forest. Remember this world was at least five times bigger than Earth. This sheer number was one of the reasons why nobody would go there, the danger was just too much.

While scouting through the forest Lu Feng suddenly felt a dark aura heading his way, so fast! Lu Fengs sensing range was about 60m but this figure had halved the distance in a couple of seconds.

Lu Feng had to run. Lu Feng turned as fast as he could. He heard thundering hooves behind him as he ran, he made the mistake of turning his head as he ran to see a tussled boar running straight for him, swallowing the distance between them ferociously.

Here Lu Feng realised just how fast magical beasts are, even this large boar that stood up to two metres, towering over Lu Feng. The boar was getting closer and closer, Lu Feng tried to twist and turn between the trees to create distance between them but it hardly helped as the trees near the edge of the forest were weaker and the boar just ran straight through them, crushing them like twigs.

Lu Feng was in deep trouble now. He tried to change his direction towards the edge of the mountain where the ground was more uneven and hoped it would bring him luck.

Just as he jumped onto a rock on the mountainside, the board tusk smashed into the side of the rock pulverising the rock he was on top of. Lu Feng escaped by the hair on his neck and he just again to a higher rock and this one was crumbling.

While the boar was backing up to charge again and smash the new rock he was on, Lu Feng resolved his courage and quickly took out his blade and waited for the boar to charge once again. As the head of the boar began to smash into the side of the rock, Lu Feng raised his hands above his head and grasped his blade facing outwards. Lu Feng used all he could to jump into the air and plunge his blade into the neck of the boar.

The boar shrieked in anger. While he had managed to penetrate the neck of the boar, its neck was so wide all he could do was continuously take the blade out from the boar's neck and stab it again and again ferociously as he straddled it like a cowboy and stab and stab and stab.

All strategies disappeared from Lu Feng's mind as he fought for his life, only one of them would leave alive today, and it was not in Lu Feng's favour.

The boar twisted and turned, it flung itself around trying to throw Lu Feng off its back. Lu Feng would not give up though. Even while being thrown around he used one hand to grab the scruff of the boar and the other to continue butchering the neck of the boar.

He plunged his blade in and dragged it side to side, up and down, in a zig-zag pattern, anything he could to try and remove this huge head off.

The boar thrust even harder, slammed its side of the body into the nearby rock to shake him off and eventually was successful. Lu Feng winced in pain as his back smashed against the hard mountain rock. His vision went blurry but hearing the thud of the very angry boar he forced himself to stay away. He looked up to see the now sluggish boar heading towards him.
