01- Student Council

1st POV (Mari)

"Mari? Wake up." Arthur said in a very 'low' voice as he shook me back and forth.

A scowl found it's way on my face as the first thing I saw in the morning was that grin plastered on my twin's face.

"What?" I growled as I pushed him away from my face. "Gonna annoy me this time?"

"Got no time for that. Hurry up and get ready, we need to be at school remember?" Arthur said with a smile more like a grin on his face as he left grinning like an idiot.

"School?" I thought to myself. "What school?"

I looked around and saw my uniform in a hanger at the clothing rack. Seriously? You're joking right?

Grabbing my phone from the night stand turning it on I saw what time it is.

5:30 a.m.

"That little devil!" I gritted my teeth as I fall for his tricks once again.

Well there's no use sleeping at this time. Or else I'll be late, again as always.

As I was getting out of shower and changing into my uniform guess who I found.

Arthur.

Sitting on my chair holding a cup of tea with content written all over his face.

"Arthur?" I said in a low voice with a smile plastered on my voice.

He turned around slowly and saw me with a closed eyed smile.

I could feel his eyes looking from me towards the small knife I was holding in my left hand.

I caress his cheek as I felt him visibly flinch.

"Mari? What are you doing with that knife?"

I hummed as I bought the knife closer to his face. "Guess what?"

He stood up from the chair and walked backwards which I'm guessing towards the door. Typical.

"What should I be guessing?" He feigned innocence.

"Just get out would ya. I'll be downstairs in five minutes." I shoo him away as he scurried toward downstairs.

I checked my emails to see that I have no new messages.

Smirking to myself knowing that the plan had already working.

In order not to make myself too suspicious around my twin I decided to go downstairs few minutes later.

"Mari!!!!!! We'll be late." Arthur yelled while walking towards the door.

"Alright. Let's go." I said as I finished eating and got my things and left for school.

As we arrive at school I was greeted by the vice president of the student council, Lorrainne Hollister.

"Mari~!" She jumped onto my back as she laughed it off.

"Rainne? You shouldn't do that. My back is hurting from it." I reminded her.

"Wah. Sorry, anyway there will be a meeting later on the usual time at the club room!" She yelled as she walked through the hallways of the school.

"Who's that?" Arthur asked as he watched the ravenette disappeared in the halls.

"Lorrainne. I thought you had already met each other?" I raised an eyebrow and he shrugged his shoulders.

"No, not once, never."

I was smiling at him while my annoyance grew each passing second. I guess the other students flinch at the aura that had been surrounding me.

Though we are twins, we are quite different. I am short tempered while Arthur had a lot of patience on such things.

Instead of telling him to stop rambling I just grabbed him by the collar and entered the classroom.

"Arthur?~" I asked in a sickly sweet tone.

"Yeah?"

"Can you just shut the hell up?" I asked in annoyance.

"Oooohh~" He cooed as he rub his cheek against mine.

All of our classmate knew about his antics so this is nothing knew, the usual right?

"Is. Someone. In. Their. Period?" With every word he said he poked his finger on my face.

If he isn't my brother I would have already bite the finger off.

"And if I the answer is yes?~"

He stopped poking me and sat down avoiding eye contact.

My classmates looked at me confuse about why he shut up all of the sudden and I just gave them a smile.

An innocent one. Or rather a warning.

It meant that: I had already shut him up so mind your own business. Nothing to see here, don't be suspicious of such things.

The bell rang as the teacher entered the room and gave out the quiz that we will be doing for this day.

Everyone around me is either too nervous about it but manage to compose themselves.

Staring at my test I was wondering whether or not we have already studied it.

'Something is up.' I thought while I looked at the teacher in front of the class who couldn't stop smirking as she watch us taking her exam.

'A sly trick huh?'

I kept my mouth shut, surprisingly and didn't made any contact with the others.

As I read through the questionnaire one thing is stuck in my mind. 'Is this a test that they usually give at the college entrance exam? You're kidding me right?'

—An Hour Later—

"Alright pass your papers." The teacher said as all of us comply.

I can't help but notice almost everyone answered the paper but some skipped a few questions.

'Guess no one will fail in this class.'

"So?~" Arthur began in a sing song voice as put his chin on my shoulder and hugged me from behind.

"It's easy. It seems that the teacher was underestimating us, rather she was targeting me. The questions in my questionnaire is lot difficult than the others." I smiled at him as I felt him tense behind me.

"How did you?"

I hummed in reply as I looked at his piercing blue eyes that reminds me of the ocean. "I saw your paper idiot."

The rest of the day was the same as always. Nothing new is going on and nothing interesting is happening which is quite boring.

4:15 pm.

"Arthur? You're gonna wait for me after the meeting." I told my other half as both of us gather our belongings and walking to the clubroom.

"Eh?!!" He shrieked. "But I'm not a member of the council also I have to go somewhere. Can I go?"

"No. Beside the statement I just said earlier isn't a request but a demand. Come on stay with me at the clubroom and I'll lend you my laptop to play with."

"But!! Its so boring. I just wanna—"

I stopped him in the middle of his sentence. "The WiFi is already a lot faster here and almost no one is using it at the moment so it's all yours."

"Deal!"

—Inside the Clubroom—

When I entered the clubroom everyone is quite busy.

"Seems like you brought company Mari." Xavier, the council's treasurer said as he looked at Arthur.

His gaze went from him to me and back to Arthur.

"Same facial features, similar hair color but different eyes. Well, he has sapphire-like orbs while you have purple. Albino eh? Well anyone wanna guess who he is?"

"Oh! Me! I know!" Rainne stood up abruptly as she pointed at Arthur. With an accusing look?

"You always stick with Mari and seemed to be overprotective of her." Rainne said as she put a chin on her finger as she continued speaking. "Are you her boyfriend?"

Every one was dead silent at the moment. Seriously?

Arthur wasn't listening since he had put his headphones and playing some music.

Thank goodness.

"Lorrainne. I gave you all the clues. Just put the pieces together. It's simple actually they're siblings." Xavier shook his head in disbelief.

The ravenette looked at disbelief and looked at me for confirmation which I nod.

"Eh? Mari!!! How could you~!" Rainne said as she jumped at me and cling for dear life. "You never told me that you have a brother."

She stopped for a moment and smiled at Arthur which soon turned into a taunting smirk. "And a good looking one too. It runs in the family huh?"

He merely ignored her and sat on the chair while browsing the internet in my laptop.

Looking around, there are two other members who still haven't arrived yet.

"Where's Lucas and Stanley?" I asked Rainne as she shook her head.

"I don't know as well." She shrugged.

Xavier his head also having no idea where the two may be.

"Well then everyone take their seats." I said as the meeting will start in approximately five minutes.

Looking at my phone I was about to call one of them when they decided to arrive... three minutes before the meeting will start.

"Speak of the devil. The devils have finally arrive."

"Yeah yeah whatever. I sorta got lost." Lucas explained as Kaiser snickered beside him.

"You've been a member of the council for two years yet you still got lost?"

Lucas smirked at him. "At least I didn't forgot my girlfriend's birthday."

"Oh come on. You always bring that up!" Kaiser yelled as both of them grabbed each other's collars with a taunting look in their faces.

"Must be nice having a significant other huh?" Lorrainne and Xavier said in unison.

"Shut up you damn brats!"

"Brats huh?" I repeated their words as I stare at them blankly with a smile, as always.

"Sit down." I ordered with a monotone voice as both complied without another word.

"Wow Mari. You must have a lot of influence to them." Arthur commented.

"Oh right." I mutter to myself before looking at him. "Let me introduced you to the council Arthur."

"Xavier Verdell, the council's treasurer. One who handles most of the finances at the school and distribute the money to the other clubs and plans most of the school's events that may involve using the school's money. He's in class 3-A. A year older than the rest of the members."

I gestured towards the blonde man with emerald green eyes who sat beside Lorrainne.

"The vice president Lorrainne Hollister. Second year in class A. She's the president's assistant and had been granted authority similar to the council's president though the final decision will fall to the president itself. Though most of the time she tend to be an airhead but I can guarantee you that she can do her work better than anyone here."

"I'm not an airhead!" Rainne defended herself.

Xavier looked at her and said, "Sometimes yes."

"Can't argue with that." Rainne replied with a shrug.

"And then we have the secretary, Lucas Anderson. He's the one who keep tracks about every single thing that had been happening around the school and also write about what we had discussed in the meeting including the final decision."

I gestured towards the jet black haired man with gray eyes and he just merely nod at Arthur who seemed to flinch at him.

"He reminds me of you." Arthur whispered onto my ear as I snarl at him.

"Whatever. Anyway this is Kaiser Reagan. The head of the committee. He's the one in charge of talking the other class presidents about the ideas of the council and also ask them for their personal opinion about it. He also acts as a secretary who keeps track about every single club in the school.

Both of them are in the same class as Lorrainne."

I explained as I pointed towards the Blondie with turquoise eyes.

"Hold on." Arthur thought for a moment before talking. "Where is the president?"

Kaiser and Lorrainne looked at me and shrugged. Then Xavier finally had spoken up.

"Well then now that Mari had introduced all of us I guess it would be fine to reveal the president. Well, you have the right to know who it is."

"Huh? Me? Have the right to what?" Arthur asked as he pointed a finger at himself.

"Just shut up for a moment would ya?" Kai replied with an annoyed look on his face.

Xavier stopped for a few seconds before speaking again.

"Let me introduce you to the council's president. Asteria Minerva Lumiere, your sister."
