2 Chapter 2 - Becoming a Demon II

The Spring Autumn Cicada moved for a great length up the river of time, until it could move no more. The Spring Autumn Cicada had reached its limit, and with a swoosh, it turned into a flash and burrowed into one of the ripples.

The spring rain quietly rained down on Qing Mao Mountain.

It was already late in the night, a slight breeze blowing with the light rain.

Yet Qing Mao Mountain was not covered in darkness; from the side down to the foot of the mountain, dozens of tiny lights shone like a bright band.

These lights shone from tall buildings, even though it could not be said to match up to ten thousand lights, yet it was still a few thousand in number.

Situated on the mountain was Gu Yue Village, giving the vast lonely mountain a touch of human civilization.

A pair of clear eyes quietly looked at the lights sparkling in the night, full of complex feelings inside.

"Gu Yue Village, from 500 years ago?" Alex stood by the window, staring outside.

A few moments ago, Alex woke up and found himself in Fang Yuan's body with all his memories. He didn't understand why this happened but for some reason here he was with all of Fang Yuan's five hundred years of memories.

It was a few days before the awakening ceremony.

'On my way home, I was hit by Van-Kun and passed out. Next, I was somehow here in the Gu world, and my soul traveled with Fang Yuan up the river of time. After that, I woke up in Fang Yuan's body with all his memories. This… What the heck is happening?' Alex thought as he looked down at his hands.

'I am probably having one crazy dream after being obsessed with 'Reverend Insanity' for the past few days. That must be it. After I fall asleep, I will probably wake up in my hospital room covered in bandages.' Alex tried to convince himself.

But no matter how hard he tried to convince himself, he knew deep down that this was all real. As such he took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

'IF this is all real then I need to start planning and find a way to survive. I not only have Fang Yuan's five hundred years of memories of the future but also had my memories from the modern world, which also includes me reading the book and as a result, I still remember some of the future events. I can use these to my advantage and survive in this world.'

'Not only can I just survive, but if I put in the required efforts, I can also become venerable.'

When his thoughts reached this point, he became excited and clenched his fists. But then he calmed down and thought about how and mainly why he was in such a situation.

'Most likely after being hit by Van-Kun I must have died and then my soul traveled to the Gu world, that too right when Fang Yuan used the Spring Autumn Cicada. That is most likely not a coincidence. It seems like the scheme of Heaven's will. Me obtaining all of Fang Yuan's memory is also most likely due to Heaven's will doing something. How and why it did so is unclear right now.'

'What I need to do now is act like a puppet and follow the arrangements made by Heaven's will to stop Spectral Soul Demon Venerable. After that, once I get my hands on Sovereign Fetus Gu, I need to rapidly increase my cultivation and become a venerable that way I can escape from the grasp of Heaven's will and be strong enough to protect myself.'

The third volume – The Demon Wreaks Chaos in the World – focuses on – Hu Immortal Blessed Land and Imperial Court Blessed land. The fourth – The Demon Lord Rampages Unhindered – focuses on – Zombie Alliance, Battle of Yi Tian Mountain, Spectral Soul revival plan, and Sovereign Fetus Gu. The fifth – Demon King's Domination – focuses on – Dream path exploration in Southern Border, Reverse Flow River Battle, becoming the Leader of Shadow Sect, and Battle of Fate Gu. The sixth and halted one – A Demon King's Eternal Life – mainly focuses on – Fang Yuan's Venerable Ascension.'

'Now since I am at the Gu Yue Village, I should focus on getting the Flower Wine Monk inheritance, raising my aptitude to A grade, get the Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus, rising my cultivation to Rank 3 so that I can leave Qing Mao Mountain and if possible, pick up that Bai Ning Bing in passing.'

'Hmm… I should not kill that carven guy that way I will avoid drawing the attention of Tie clan father and daughter'

'This should be all the major things I need to keep track of.'

'Now as for the fun things or things I should do for relaxation, is, of course, to play with Fang Yuan's Uncle and Aunt and then if his idiotic younger brother gets in the way he will also be dealt with. As Alex had inherited Fang Yuan's memories he knew of the genuine love and care Fang Yuan had for his brother in his first life and the heartache he felt towards his brother's actions later. It was only that after living for five hundred years and gaining the experiences (which had all been a big plot by Heaven's will to stop Spectral Soul Demon Venerable) that came with it that Fang Yuan changed and became cold-blooded, otherwise he too was a normal person who cared for his loved ones just like everyone else. It was the five hundred years' worth of experiences that changed him and made him look at everything calmly to the point that he was able to let go of anything and everything, even his own younger brother whom he once cared about deeply and was thus able to deal with his younger brother after his rebirth through Spring Autumn Cicada. Hence Alex decided to give Gu Yue Fang Zheng a chance, if he is smart then he will cherish it, if not only hell awaits him.

After clearing his head of all unwanted thoughts, he closed the windows, walked to his bed and sat down, and began organizing his thoughts to come up with a plan for the near future.

'Since I am now reborn in this world and I am in Fang Yuan's body… then from now on…' Alex's lips curled up into an evil smile.

"I am Gu Yue Fang Yuan."
